Amazing, great, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the resort was beautiful, my daughter and wife enjoyed, they hated to leave
3.0 / 10.0
Took them whole day to find my package, no hot water for day & half, No water from time to time. Staff are basically blasé about everything - not one showed an ounce of care, hospitality from shops, events, cleaners etc. sofa in room was stained, dusty. Room has a strong cold draft.
View from my room was beautiful as i booked mountain view room.
Comfortable bed

My stay was really quick and easy. Comfy enough bed and room. Parking garage across the street. Checked in late in the evening and was helped to a fine room.

Not impressed .

We payed for a corner room suite. View was roof tops and I-70 interstate noise all night. In old section of hotel with dated finishings. Very missing leading with photos shown on sight with fress bright colors. Dark green and dark red furniture. Not your usual Grand Hyatt

The property is nestled in a quaint area that is somewhat secluded and right near the river. It was breathtaking to walk up and down the trail listening to the river and all the birds. The resort was very busy and was having a convention, which was not ideal for us since we were looking to get away from all that. There was not a place to eat because the convention had taken over the restaurant. It was way understaffed and wasn’t kept clean. Towels and drinks from the night before were all around the pool and firepit area where you could sit. Coffee was not provided in the mornings- this is supposed to be a 5 star and no coffee bar! They did have a market that served coffee, but it did not open until 7am- the restaurant that serves coffee didn’t open until 7am. There were early golfers, hikers, and people that were roaming at 6am looking for some coffee! The rooms were very nice, clean… best beds and pillows! There was an espresso machine but it made tiny cups of espresso. The shuttle service was excellent- could get anywhere in the village for dinner or lunch. Once everyone left, and the resort was quiet, it was a beautiful place and we were glad we didn’t switch hotels. Overall, I would stay again.

The pool was very cold and the hot tub wasn't operating. Otherwise, we LOVED the hotel.

People are nice and service was good, except the cafe that serves breakfast. It was so slow and unorganized it felt like they were clueless. The SPA seems like Four Seasons prices, but the amenities are not comparable.

Almost zero water pressure and constantly cold water. Made it very difficult to shower. Tons of extra fees that we were not informed of beforehand. Will not be returning

Food is soooooooo average, front desk staff are amazing but valet are Awful. weeds all around the pool and DJ at the pool cranking beats at a 10 outta 10 until I got a migraine! Not exactly relaxing.
In the end this is way too average for the price. The staff need big time customer service training. Mostly they are grumpy, rude or disinterested.
River and local are incredible after that? I wouldn't go back. If you are from out of town go somewhere else.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail. It was their low season, so not as chaotic and hectic (which we like), but still plenty to do like hiking, biking or simply having a lazy walk along the Gore Creek trails. One can do as much as they want, or simply nothing at all and enjoy the surrounding. The property is well kept, clean and plenty of space to roam around. We tried a couple of restaurants, Gessner Steakhouse & Makoto, both having outstanding & delicious fares. Highly recommend the resort, and if possible, book the room with balcony overlooking the mountain and creek.

This is the first time I had stayed at this property. It was recommended by another family member. Location, service, and experience were all outstanding. I can't wait to return! The staff members at the Grand Hyatt were so wonderful. We were treated so well by all, especially Bryan. Bryan provided such outstanding service - our entire family was there and everyone thought the same about Bryan. What a gem and an asset to the Grand Hyatt Vail!!

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the service left much to be desired. From the first impression with valet not even bothering to open the door or assist with bags, to the less than pleasant bartender in the restaurant for lunch, to things as simple as not having paper cups in the room and housekeeping not responding to the requests, it felt more like an imposition than a vacation. It is clear that this hotel markets itself as a luxury experience but misses the mark on what that means. The accommodations and finishes were five star, the service was average if that.

They have many nice and hard working staffs from all over the world. I have to write down the front desk staff from Indonesia and her name is Sally. She was exceptionally friendly and knew what she was doing. Grand Hyatt in Vail is so lucky to have many good workers./ Only thing that I have to point out the bad thing was that the chair lift wasn’t operating after one day. That was one of the factors that we booked the hotel but it wasn’t. We have to take the shuttle back and force with a lot of walking and carrying skis with ski boots on.

A wonderful visit! At the end of ski season, one would expect everything to look a little rundown, but this grand Hyatt delivered on all fronts. We loved the electric blinds in our room, the USB ports, the incredibly comfortable Bed, dog room service menu, Quality of our shower and design of the space!

Every hotel room in a ski resort should have a bathtub to soak aching muscles after killing yourself on the slopes. The fact that mine did not was a major downer, I don't know if other rooms have them or not. Otherwise the on-site ski shop, next door chairlift and constant shuttle bus service was a total win. The spa was lovely - only wishing there was an additional hot tub attached to it just for spa users.

Not so “wonderful”. Dog was across the hall from us. Constant barking. Felt bad for the dog, that’s just not cool.
HVAC was wonky. Kept beeping and turning on and off as if it was sensing motion in the room. Just odd.
Room was very nice overall. Well appointed and clean.
Attempted to sit at the bar at Mokoto for an appetizer and a drink only to be stopped and told the seats were “reserved” hun? 6 out of 8 seats empty….. ? I walked over to the front desk and asked if that’s normal. Clerk was dumbfounded and said they had not heard of that. She checked with the food and beverage manager and next thing you know voila! We are sitting at the bar. No reservations are needed for the bar….. at least two seats stayed empty the whole time we were there.
Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly for the most part. The valet on the morning we checked out was not nice. We were going to catch a flight and tried to get going early-30 minute wait for the car and we were the only people leaving. When he finally pulled up the car he just handed us the keys and walked away…. No help with the bags - nothing. Rude.
They should spend some of the daily resort fees on the game area. Foosball table were both in need of repair.
Overall disappointed.

The hotel must make clear that the use of the sauna and steam room is not free but costs $50 per day and closed at 6pm.

Despite paying large deposit a month prior,
they did not have room available when arrived. They said they were full and no room available
I had to find another hotel

We were only there overnight because the airport in Eagle was closed for weather (heavy snow.) No issues at all with the Grand Hyatt Vail. I can say the bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean.

The hotel was oversold. They moved my family to a house without warning. The fireplace was not functional and filled the entire house with smoke. The fire alarm went off for over a hour. The maintenance people told us the alarm is not connected. Fire department never came. The security of the hotel was why we booked three rooms. The heat in two rooms did not work and had to move two people to the hotel for just one night. They finally got the heat fixed after over 24 hours. No fresh towels and the rooms were never cleaned. I would never recommend this property.
