The hotel was very nice and beautiful! They keep the place really clean. It is green all over and very nice. Our reservation included the service of free breakfast and it was very delicious. It did only include a portion of the menu but if you wanted something else you could just pay the difference which was usually just 10 pesos. The hotel was walking distance to one of the main streets(andador) where all the bars and restaurants are and its walking distance to the park and many other attractions in town. The Front desk where always very nice and attentive. There was one lady that even lent us her personal umbrella to use when it started to rain heavily. Overall we had a great stay 10 out of 10.

Nice large room and beds, very clean.Staff very nice, but better suited to Spanish speaking clients - English somewhat limited - good if you want to practice your Spanish.
First year we stayed, there was a lovely view of the mountains from most rooms. This year the owner has added a building above the existing east wall, totally eliminating this view.

The hotel is located near enough to major locations but far enough to be quiet. Our room had quite a few quirks. Hair dryer did not work, and even if it did, it was wired so that the wire ran across the sink. Bathroom door was not level which made it impossible to stand in front of the sink with the door open unless it rested against your back. When you ask for ice they would just give two cubes per glass. Rooms have no AC or heat, which given the temperature changes in the day was not comfortable. The showers have no door, so water gets all over the bathroom floor. This being said, the hotel is nice looking. The restaurant is small but quaint with a patio with umbrellas for shade for great breakfasts. There is a small bar open at nights for a convenient drink. The staff is friendly enough. The price was great with a high exchange rate making overlooking the issues above. I would come back in the future.

checkin was not ideal. i was told machine to process charge cards was broken. after a week or so, i was finally able to pay by visa. also at check in (i was staying a month) i was asked to buy a bag of ice. price was nothing, but attitude of 4star hotel surprised me..after one month l had used almost none of bag, and gave it to the hotel when i left. even with a space heater room and chiminea, my room was cold. that is a problem throughout san cris, where there is no central heating. other than that, facilities were perfect. room was lovely, immaculate, and staff generally nice, although one in particular was less than friendly. the man who made my fires every nite was wonderful, really very helpful.

SCdlC is an interesting and fun place with many your options available. This hotel is in a perfect location- 2 blocks from the main tourist area of restaurants, bars, stores. Looks like nothing from the street, but once inside, rooms are centered around a lovely courtyard- tables with umbrellas at one end. Warm and welcoming staff, daily maid service, comfortable bed. Enjoyed my stay so much, I extended an extra day.

Nice little hotel within walking distance to downtown. Some construction was going on and lots of fireworks..but that is Mexico! Great service, beautiful rooms, would stay again.

Excellent location, friendly & helpful staff. Restaurant is only open for breakfast, from 7:20am to 11am; however, there are many restaurants nearby.

We thought the hotel was comfortable. As long as you're not expecting the St. Regus Hotel or Ritz Carlton, you'll be fine. The standard King size room we stayed in was quite cozy. One thing to note, it didn't have an AC or Heater... so keep the season in mind when booking. In all, breakfast was good, service was good, the location was within easy walking distance to the main areas and the hotel was great for the price.

They seem to have a problem with a pungent odour emanating from the bathrooms... The first room I had, was on the ground floor, the smell was really quite strong in the bedroom as well as the bathroom. I assumed that the smell in the bedroom was because the cleaners had left the door to the bathroom open, but the smell was still there the next morning, so I asked to change rooms and the staff obliged. The next room was on the first floor, the smell was nowhere near as bad in the bedroom although the bathroom had the same smell, but there was no wifi reception in that room so I asked to change again... My third room was on the 2nd floor - wifi fine and smell just confined to the bathroom. There was a small pool of water in the bathroom, but I thought nothing of it. By the next morning the small pool of water had grown substantially so there was clearly a leak from the sink or the toilet. I had to put all the towels down on the floor folding them over several times so that I could get to the sink to brush my teeth without getting my socks soaking wet!I hate to write a negative review, and it may be the case that I was just unlucky. I should also point out that all three of my rooms were on the same side of the hotel, so maybe the other side doesnt smell as bad.The staff, were great and the food in the restaurant was good too. The communal areas of the hotel are all very nice as well.....but based on my experience I cant recommend this hotel.

Hotel Parador Marguarita is a beautiful, small gem, excellently positioned for everything in this delightful and interesting town. Rooms arranged around a lovely courtyard, it is beautifully clean and well looked after. The staff were excellent, arranged meals to take out when we left too early for breakfast and there was someone available at all times. I cannot fault this hotel at all.
