A very dated looking building much in need of re-decoration. Despite that a friendly welcome and facilities adequate. However the room had not been cleaned with any care or attention. A very bad image for overseas guests to Scotland and SYHA should be ashamed. I do not mean their hard working staff but the head office who allow such shabiness I doubt they ewould recommend the place.

Very friendly- it was fine and they made lunches for us !

Property was convenient to city centre rooms were clean beds were comfortable lack of storage was issue

One night in private room.
Handle of the bath/wc door was written as broken and you could get locked inside if alone. Was badly fixed with tape ! Should be fixed permanently as it is a hostel ! One window did not close.
Otherwise, good for youth hostel. Parking on site and walking distance of city center, shared kitchen and breakfast continental available

The staff was curt, the beds like cardboard over springs. The place is clean, though the women’s lab was out of toilet paper in two stalls an entire day. Rooms are quite crowded.

The receptionist was so caring and nice. Gave lots of insight on places nearby and suggestions on things to eat. Definitely will be back.

We had twin room en suite and it was comfortable and very clean. Communal areas also very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful

Basic but clean and functional. Represent s good value in a city where accommodation prices are sky high in the summer.

Hostel staff is friendly and communicative

Good for the price and location! I never trust dark linens that can’t be bleached tho

We stayed at Inverness for a few nights and happy with private room, kitchen/dining facilities and laundry. But honestly our highlight was George the cat. If only every accommodation had a resident cat the world would be a far better place.

Property allowed flexible check in due to delays in our trip. Booking was most likely mixed up with another as original booking was for 2 females in double bed booking. Check in receipt listed 2 males for one bed for occupancy of 2. Property location was what we were looking for along our journey traveling.

Never complained about mattresses before, but broken springs digging in ribs and not even one electric outlet make for long night. Kitchen wonderful, but I'm writing this at 4 am, because for the first time in over 35 years of sleeping in hostels can't sleep.

We were very impressed by our stay here. It was very nice to have access to the kitchen for our dinner and they had a very nicely priced breakfast available for us in the morning, which was extra nice because we needed to leave early. I would say that the location is "kind of" walkable. You definitely can walk to a grocery store and some restaurants, but it was a bit further than would strictly be called convenient. It was a nice walk though! The neighborhood is very nice and there are sidewalks the whole way. The room was great, the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, and it was just what we needed!

It was just fine .

Great staff. Accommodation was fine

Surprised by the single bed in the dorm. I don’t have to have anyone sleeping above me. Barely any plug sockets - was two by the door for a room of 4 people. The bedside lamp was very loud.
You can tell the hostel has been around a while but still clean and friendly staff. Big communal kitchen and lots of seating. Would recommend again.

This is a great place if you don’t mind being a little way out of the centre of Inverness. It was pretty quiet during the evenings but I had at quite a noisy room next to me which woke me up in the morning! Could do with an update on some facilities that other hostels have, such as usb chargers by the beds. Otherwise, good value for money and I slept well.

Very clean room, friendly efficient check in and great location. Only downsides, mattress was very hard and noisy steps to first floor kept us awake at 3:30am for over an hour.

Short walk to city centre. Facilities are ideal, well appointed communal kitchen.
Very helpful staff

Basic hostel room, but with en-suite. Communal kitchen area Ok. Some noise late into the evening - banging doors, loud voices.

Spectacular. Walking distance from town centre. In a lovely quiet residential area with lots of green space.

it stands in convenient place! Close to the bus stop from the airport, so trail station, and big shopping mall as well. Clean and tidy venue, big self kitchen area, nicely polite and professional staff.
I enjoyed socializing with a girl in the same room and other guests, too.
Really friendly atmosphere!!
Superb!
Highly recommended.
One thing is there are no lifts.

It was clean, and staff very helpful but the hostel itself is in much need of some upgrades.
We had just 2 electric outlet at the door in a full room (6people) so charging phones was an issue, each bed should have their own outlet, the door was very noisy and above that it had a small alarm everytime someone entered the room which caused discomfort during night (the alarm was not very strong but during night it hit different) and the light at the top beds didn't work.

It was a 15 minute walk from the station. The staff were very kind and helpful. The facilities are basic but completely adequate. The bathroom facilities were good. We could used the kitchen and dining room, which were both very clean. Absolutely no complaints.

Absolutelly satisfied. Very friendly staff and guests, spacious hostel. Very clean, ideal temperature, comfy beds. I have never seen so big and perfect clean cuisine. I think that hostel rules must keep precisely.
