This place is very close to town, which is quaint. Great coffee place 3 doors down. It was clean, very comfortable andno problem with on street free parking. Coffe pods and tea bags were available. Could not find cream. Would have liked a small refrigerator or ice available.

Not the best experience. No one was on site for help with heat/ac or anything needed. We could text the person who texted us the code to get in. The persons number on the guest sheet in the room was the same person who texted although the numbers are different. Noise from the street outside was loud as we were on the front of the house. May have been better if on backside.

I would stay again, but in a different room. Ours was at the very top of the stars. No elevator. Part of me wonders if it was because we booked through this site as we saw no one else there. The floor was very squeaky with a nailhead sticking out where my husband stepped out of bed. Curiously there were no tissues, or glasses for water to brush teeth. There is no staff on site, although a number is available to call. It was very clean and quiet, in a residential neighborhood. Coffee is available in the lobby.

It was very cute for a nice little get away. The only down side was there was not a refrigerator in the room to keep drinks cold. Also breakfast would have been nice. Absolutely gorgeous and will definitely stay again!

What. A. Gem. Such a unique facility! This felt more like a cozy studio apartment (without a kitchen) in a quaint, old building than it did a "hotel." The expansive facility has lots of nooks and crannies with a few common sitting areas to relax in. It's just a minute off the expressway and easily accessible to the downtown area as well as the C&O Canal trail for a walk or run. Highly recommend.

What a relief to arrive at the Cumberland Inn and Spa after running 140 miles from Pittsburgh. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bed was terrific!
We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and quiet place to stay in Cumberland

An older building in a historic neighborhood. Some issues with the shower and "secure" bicycle storage which never were fixed. No real service provided as we never actually saw any of the staff. Positives were that the room was ready when we arrived at 12:30 and the walk into downtown was pretty short and easy.

Awesome! Loved it!

We travelled for two weeks and this was our favorite space. The location is beautiful on the inside and historic on the outside.

Lovely historical Inn.
Appreciate the hospitality

The Inn is beautifully restored and well taken care of. My room is lovingly decorated and comfortable. Nice hot shower with good water pressure!

Bathroom needed some attention. Toilet paper roll and hand soap dispenser was not refilled. The white shower liner was stained yellow and there was a dirt ring around the bottom of the toilet.

Cozy, but need tv in extra room

The listing did not mention that the room did not have an on-suite bathroom. Parking is in the back lot and it is scary back there. Woken up twice by drunk people shouting on the street in the middle of the night

Enjoyed our stay at this quaint property. Our room was adorable and we had the private bathroom which was great. Would definitely stay again when visiting Cumberland. Very easy process, room was clean and it was quiet. We had a lovely stay. Thank you!

No real issues. My only quibbles are that the shower ws a bit small, I'm a big guy with wide shoulders, so your mileage on this may vary. Also, my room was on the first floor facing the street, so any conversations on the street passed right through the walls/window,

Charming building and room but back of property included derelict buildings. Lack of on site staff added to sense that it wasn’t too safe. But I am older senior woman traveling akone

Greeted outside by a handful of semi-feral cats. The public areas and the room were especially clean. Within steps of the inn were a good coffee shop and a liquor store. A collection of nice restaurants was little more than 10 minutes away on foot.

Lot drug-alcoholism / street people in the immediate area
Plumbing wasn’t good, toilet easily plugged
bed and pillows especially were uncomfortable
Television service was bad unable to use the remote
Coffee maker in lounge didn’t have power at night

I selected this location due to it's proximity to the train station, the historic nature of the building and pets are welcome. The building and room were very inviting. I was hoping it would be haunted but unfortunately it wasn't! There is not a lot of grass area for dogs but there is enough! The only issue we had was they do not accept American Express and needed to use a different payment method. Expedia needs to show that when booking. Otherwise everything else was great! Thank you for a great stay and restaurant recommendations!

A wonderful little inn in downtown Cumberland, full of character and charm. We were very happy with our decision to stay here, rather than a chain further outside the city.

Very comfortable room in a great location. Check in was as easy as could be. If you're riding the GAP Trail they have wonderful storage facility for bikes as well. Very beautiful building. And you can't beat the price. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Great customer service, clean rooms, and cyclist friendly! They have a garage behind the inn where we were able to lock our bikes up. Close to everything, and easily accessible from the trailhead. This was our second year staying there and we will definitely be back!

Nice, clean and cheap place to lay my head after a night of partying at the Savage Mountain Punk Fest.

This was a lovely heritage home, in a very convenient to the C & O Towpath bike trail we were considering doing. We ended up not doing it, because we had ridden in Glen Rock the day before and enjoyed a long length of that, so decided to explore Rocky Gap State Park instead. It felt like an AirBnB due to the way you received your key, communicated, etc. The city of Cumberland possibly is in the process of a revival, which will definitely help the Inn. We did not feel safe walking to the riverfront, where we had a lovely seafood meal at Crabby Shack (or something). Be careful of all the one way streets while driving.

It's a bit sketchy to get to, and it doesn't look great from the exterior, but once inside it was just awesome.

No one on site for check in, questions, etc. To be fair, it was the 4th of July. Plus, I have a written receipt from Travelocity indicating I paid, but had to give out credit card info by phone. Not 100 percent comfortable.

Bed wasn't made. Towels and hand rags left on floor in bathroom. TV didn't work.

Basically, it has an airbnb feel, but you're in a historic mansion. We never saw a single person in the entire two connected houses during our 3 night stay. The rooms are pretty bare-bones with basically no amenities (tv didn't work, which we knew about, but also the wifi was non-existent). Luckily we packed everything we needed and are self-sufficient! The bed was really really comfortable and the room itself has some lovely decor. We got the only room with an ensuite bathroom, which for us, is essential, but it still left something to be desired. There was a very gross, overpowering smell of yucky gross fruity soap in the bathroom that permeated the sheets. I got that soap out of the room, but was definitely gagging every time I lay on the bed that first night. We ran out of toilet paper and had to raid one of the hallway toilets. There is no housekeeping, but I'm sure if I called the mysterious person I was texting with or talked to on the phone when I checked in, we could have gotten more attention. Street was noisy in the mornings and I would have loved a bedside table on both sides of the bed. But overall, it was pleasant to stay in a different sort of place than a chain hotel.

WiFi doesn’t work. Neither does the tv

Great little place! Close to town and cozy environment. Very convenient if you are riding the train to Frostburg.

This is a funky place in a cool way. Kinda shabby chic. That said it tidy and clean in a historically interesting area. Mostly a base camp for outdoor enthusiast. If that’s your thing, you’ll be happy. If you’re slightly adventurous, you’ll be pleased. If you need a Hampton inn, get a room.
