This was a wonderful surprise in the heart of El Vedado just 2 blocks from Hotel Nacional. Lunch, diner and drinks at hotel Bacional is a must and so inexpensive as you pay in Cuban pesos, CUP. Also Caberet Parisian is at hotel and it’s the best show and price ever!! This Chile hotel has a wonderful breakfast and wonderful staff who were so helpful. The rooms were excellent with great air conditioning and showers.

The rooms were small but very comfortable and clean. The staff were outstanding - helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and freshly prepared. The cafe above the hotel was very good too.

Great location in Vedado, close to Hotel Nacional. Friendly and super service minded staff.

It is the 4th floor of a building, we had to actively look for it. A part from it, it was comfy, nice and clean.
There is a restaurant upstairs from it. There was a little chair pushing at some point at night, but soon it stopped.

Décor in the room very nice, however, not all the windows had glass (shutters instead) and some did not close. On arrival, I asked the receptionist to close them as I was concerned about mosquitoes He said he couldnt close it but there were no mosquitoes anyway. There were. I got eaten. Also, the mattress was comfortable but the bed was soft and creaky and the lamps never worked. Breakfast was fine but it would have been more enjoyable if the fruit buffet had remained covered from insects.

As a solo traveller from the UK I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Chile Habanero, the staff were very friendly and attentive. I stayed in Room 7 which was very spacious and clean. I chose to keep the window and blinds open instead of the Air Conditioner. You get plenty of sunlight and view of the sea but you will hear or possibly be woken up by whatever is going on outside. This wasnt a problem for me. Breakfast was normally chopped pieces of 3 different kinds of fruit, tea/coffee, fruit juice, water, milk and some bread which could be toasted.A big bonus is once you understand where you are, you realise that you are very well located for getting around Havana. There is a good range of local shops, restaurants (even one on the floor above), bars, and clubs which are only 2 streets away (under 5 minutes)Money exchange (Cadeca), Banks, and WIFI credit stores (ETECSA) are under 10 minute walk.As Cuba is very safe and as long as you are comfortable walking, you can walk to Old Havana (Havana Vieja) in 45 minutes which I did a few times cutting through central Havana or along the Malecon. Getting to and from the airport is under 30 minutes by taxi and cost no more than 30CUC. If youre someone who wants a base to get around Havana for a reasonable price then I recommend staying here.

Great experience, Ruby, Gladys and Raul make us feel like family. We enjoy every minute, location excellent. Just a little detail, electricity is 220v, so our electronics did not work. Cant thank enough the staff who where very friendly and helpful, lot of restaurants and clubs, walking distance, you cant miss in your visit, the restaurant in the 5th floor, also, El gato tuerto club and restaurant both excellent

The hotel was clean but it was really loud in the rooms an the doors wouldn’t close easily. There‘s no minibar in the room but you can buy water and beer at the reception. Some of the pictures online aren’t from the hotel but from the restaurant above, so the hotel itself has just a really small terrace. The breakfast included is okay, but there are not a lot of options.Wouldn’t stay at this hotel another time

Where to start:
- only can use wifi when staff aren’t using it (which is constantly) and it’s very slow
- location is not great better to stay at old Havana
- I am Australian but always got mistaken for American and they are not fans of Americans, therefore did not get great service
- I called the hotel before arrival to help on how to best get there, I got told just get a taxi, they claim on the site that they had airport shuttle for extra price but it’s really just a taxi that they mean.
- they only accept euro or cuc, and I had to exchange my euro at the hotel and they gave me a really poor rate 1 euro for 1 cuc. But for no help to understand where a bank was or how to exchange my money
- they don’t assist in organising or advising where to go the only thing was offered was going on a classic car tour but got charged a fair amount when I compared to the next hotel I stayed at that had a concierge that gave us some more legitimate options
- my partner and I left after a couple of hours and booked at a place on old Havana and had a better time. If you’re on a budget try and get a place with a pool as there can be a lot of downtime and it’s very hot.
- this place is more of a hostel with a private room / toilet than a hostel.
- When I booked this hotel I went of the reviews therefore and appeared good by the reviews and photos but not a great way to start my honeymoon. I would definitely do your research.
Tip: you can’t exchange your Cuban peso (CUC) back

Nicholas and the rest of the staff were very warm and welcoming. They gave good recommendations for places to eat and excellent directions to Hamel Street for afro-cuban music and dance; for the Jazz festival activities and for the Havana bus tours. Nicholas also arranged shuttle to and from the airport for us.The property is located in Verdad, a beautiful area that is within walking distance of the activities mentioned above. The view from our window is of the ocean by Malecon (sea wall).....takes the breath away every time!

Small hotel, only 6 rooms, staff very helpful and super friendly. Breakfast good, fruit, toast, and eggs sometimes, depending who is on duty. Location is good, taxi to old town around 7 cucs. To sum up, very pleasant, clean and well positioned hotel.
