I wasn't allowed by the people working in the airport to go to my already paid for reservation! They said it has to be an officially recognized hotel not B and B or rental house. No refunds it says here and so I had to pay a lot more money to stay at the Havana Libre Hotel instead which was a big hassle since I cannot access anybof my American funds or bank cards including cash. I had to literally find a way to lose extra money to pay through Zelle to get Euros to pay for the hotel. Worst experience in hotel renting of my life! I was stuck in a homeless house overnight until i could finally get something worked out the next day!

The house far from tour spots. You need taxi but Cuba taxi are all expensive, if you like walking no problem just 30-40min from downtown.
Room is not clean.
But only one the hoste are all kind.

First of all, the hotel is being modified. Her man is working alone to tune this hotel. The first impression when you open the door is WOW the living room part is already done, and the veranda has an amazing view over the ocean. He knows what he is doing.
For our room, it was big enough, they put in there a second bed after I request it (I didn t want to share a bed with my mom). The bathroom is already new, and was very pleasant to see.
Sleep was very good, the mattress is quite compf. Unfortunately I was just 1 night there as it was our last night in cuba.
from there to the old town it's like 20-30 min walk, or a short taxi trip. Personally if you want to do the old town only and only walk, then I suggest to rent something in that area.
only thing which I could complain about, is that the room is quite dark. but that's all. But I have to admit from my 5 casas I took, one was only bright with sunlight

The view is nice along the Malecon. But not enough restaurants in the area.

Well good, if you like extreme... No Wi-Fi, no internet access, no normal phone service no TV in rooms... Area look like you get into someone's nightmare...Constant noise from passing trucks and honking cars...
