Stayed here for 5 days with my children and it was a hidden gem. One street away from El Malecón, from La Feria where you can buy souvenirs and from the Boat Station where you can go to Regla to see the church or Casablanca to walk to the Christ Statie and El Morro where they do the cannon ball ceremony at 9pm. You are a walk away from the best parks - Parque Habana and Parque de las Palomas. Surrounded by many restaurants and bars. And if you need ANYTHING at all, Vicky is an amazing host and only a few streets down :)
P.S. the reception in the area is terrible due to the building structures but she has WIFI available for a daily fee which works perfectly fine.
No power outages, no light outages. A/C is great and the hot water heater as well.

Honestly my friend and I were panicking before we checked in because we were unable to contact the host via phone, we even called Expedia hoping it was not a scam. But TRUST ME it was quite the contrary because the host Viky is such an amazing woman and her place surpassed our expectations! Such a wonderful full apartment with one bedroom and only 3 blocks away from Plaza Vieja with all the food options. The home is tidy and the living area is so comfy that you feel right at home. An extra perk is that she offers internet access so for remote workers, you can still get the job done. Just up the street is the seawall where you can sit at night and enjoy the view and fresh air. Super stay, super host and definitely worth future visits!

Was conveniently located, looked a little sketchy, but actually turned out to be a regular neighborhood.
Biggest issue was that we had no Wifi at all.
Could have used google translate to communicate with the host.
Host was awesom, helped us with booking a show at the Buena vista social club, taxi tour of Havana, cab trip to viazul bus station.

What a marvelous casa to stay at !
Clean , close to all touristic spots of interest in Old Havana and Vicky, a landlady who is very charming , knowledgeable and kind .
I enjoyed the air conditioning, the kitchenette and lounge area. Also there is a television and multiple fans.
Vicky provides her guests with a few bottles of clean water in the fridge upon arrival ( cost 1$ each ) very convenient.
Comfortable and safe feeling overall.
I would definitely stay again !
