Property could do with a makeover, however, great location, we managed to get parking at the hotel and the room had clean sheets on the bed, it was warm and had a good shower. Good for a cheap 1 night stay if you’re only planning to sleep and then head out.

On arrival it was difficult to identify where the car park for the hotel was, I had to call the hotel to be able to confirm - it’s a small car park at the back of the building which is first come first served. Checking in was easy, they were not able to do a full ID check as their scanner was down, so they requested it to be emailed over - email bounced back AFTER check out. Only issue I had was that as they were checking another customer in the staff called out my room number - which I did not appreciate regarding my safety. The hotel room itself was simple and clean - ensuite was very clean. For the price it did the job perfectly, which allowed me to catch up with an old friend that I had not seen in many years.

The hotel was the worst i have ever stayed in, its was non smoking but it stank of smoke in the corridor which drifted into our room and i mean a lot of smoke, we paid an extra £10 for late check out but the maid opened the door twice to clean the room. The room had no lock on the door, the bed was half made, I had to fix the mattress cover and make the bed sheet fit. Carpark had space for 6 cars but hotel had over 20 rooms, we ended up having to pay for parking.

I would happily stay here in future

Not so good
1.0
Extremely noisy at all times with other guests continuously breaking hotel rules with extreme noise including music, shouting, swearing, running around despite me ringing reception numerous times up to 3am.
It was however clean and central to town
2.0
They gave me the room by the front door, noisy ( around midnight, and one night arguing at outside my door because the reception is opposite my room) and I couldn’t sleep well. But staff nice.
3.0
Triple room very basic. Beds & pillows not the most comfortable. Ok for one night attending Cheltenham races but not longer.

Overnight stay in Cheltenham to attend local Film Festival. Hotel centrally located with attentive staff. Stayed in Room 10 (suitable for one guest). Generously stocked tea and coffee. Kettle in great condition. Furniture overall had seen a lot of use. Bed comfortable. Small TV but serviceable. Did not use Wi-Fi. In relation to cost, it was good. Would stay again.

My stay was with 2 sisters, we were given 3 single beds as requested. The room was spotless and perfect for our needs. If you desired there is a TV too. The hotel is a listed building and obviously old but fascinating . Parking available at the rear. Central to the city .

They're trying; front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Room was good size, nicely stocked with mini-frig and microwave. No lift but not a problem for us. Carpet needs updating.
2.0
Too hot with the windows closed too noisy with the windows open. VERY tired building decor and facilities. Although I think it was reasonably clean, it didn’t feel like it because it was so run down.
5.0
Good sized room with mini kitchen, pleasant staff. Gave a lot of details & information on the area

Great location. Very helpful staff. Room was a little tired, but decent size and very quiet.

Like - Free parking
Disliked - carpet sticky and smelly in places. bed was worst, substantial dip in middle of mattress, could not sleep, backache in the morning.
3.0
Very small and tired room. Difficult parking down a back alley

Booked for four nights and left after two! Rooms are nothing like the pictures. Serious neglect. Water heater broke on day two so was not able to shower and that was when we decided to just leave despite paying for two more nights. Bed was falling apart and like sleeping on the floor. Parking was down a narrow alley and limited to 7 vehicles.
1.0
The parking is limited and difficult to locate and manoeuvre. Rooms are in a very poor state, such as: Mattresses are old and uncomfortable, wallpaper hanging off the walls, ceilings stained with damp/old leaks, poor water pressure, dingy room in general and throughout the building. They charge you a holding fee of £100 even when you have paid for the room upfront, why?
Very disappointed in general, wouldn't recommend!

It was all ok
3.0
It was ok a little difficult and narrow road to car park at back of the hotel. Clean room heating not working so a little cold.
2.0
The hotel is in a good location with a good amount of free parking. The rear entrance to the property is in extremely poor condition, with no clear reception, you walk into a room that looks like an office. The room though clean and reasonably decorated has no locks in the windows and no safety lock on the door. Though the general state of repair is reasonable the whole building is not an acceptable standard for the cost

Great central location for town centre and all amenities, lovely apartment and fully loaded with everything required for a perfect stay.

Room very clean and staff helpful and very polite.

Basic accommodation which was overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

If you just want a room it’s ok.
Car park very small, building condition very tired
Bed not great shower stuck on very hot. You have to go out for breakfast lunch and dinner.

The room was value for money, had everything we needed.

On arrival the staff member we spoke to was chatty and friendly. The bathroom had recently been refurbished and was clean. However the corridors were really run down and are in need of an urgent redecoration or a lick of paint at least!
Our room smelt really musty and moudly. The bathroom was new but smelt awful and it penetrated into the room. The windows were closed and it was very stuffy, we couldn’t stay in there for long at all.
The kettle was full of water from the previous guests, the glasses could do with a good wash and we were left with an opened pack of biscuits from the previous guests too.
The bed was clean enough but the overall feel was a bit musty and that it could do with a good update and much more attention to detail from the cleaning staff.
1.0
The glasses, plates, cutlery and microwave was dirty. There were wood lice in the room. The window was broken and did not stay open and there was no aircon. The bathroom smelt like drains.

Staff were attentive and friendly. They tried their very best to rectify any problems. Front doors and entrance are most unappealing and do no set you up for a good stay. Car Parking is only enough for a few cars. Had to park out on streetor use NCP car park.Room 17 has no WiFi as advertised. The room is nothing more than a Bedsit with microwave, plates and cutlery which were all dirty. The area housing was dirty and sticky and there were no teabags, wardrobe has 2 dirty cups in it and like all the walls is dirty and poorly maintained. Carpet was dirty and had white paper bits still on it. Bed not made on day 2 and we had to go and ask for towels and toilet rolls in the evening as they were missing upon our return.Bathroom window has to be proped open on this case with a half used toilet paper roll. Ensuite is ok but shower leaks in the corner by the toilet and the door can not be opened fully as it hits the sink. The bed has a metal plate which hold the base together but this stick out appropriately 10mm. Under the besite table has not been cleanFound this room for £49 to £65 pernight where as i was charge £370 for a 3 night stay. The room certainty not worth that.It is also most certainty nothing like the roo.s advertised.
