There was a major cockroach infestation. I thought I could deal with it for one night until one of them crawled across my face when I was laying in bed. I ended up sleeping in my car and got a full refund the very next day.

The owner was so friendly and open and made check in a breeze. The room was clean and tidy. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip up north!

Property had alot of transients, sitting around the property and a gentleman wearing an ankle tracker, and many people coming and going. Not they did anything wrong , just as young woman it made us feel very unsafe. Didn’t even walk to eat so we drove so we didn’t leave the vehicle there.
No coffee in the room. Lady at the check in was very friendly. And our room was clean.

First, I'll say the manager, I think her name was Michelle, was extremely nice and when I called before arriving about questions I had she would call me back within minutes if I did not reach her directly.
That said, I would avoid this property. The buildings were shabby looking. There were cobwebs In the landing, going up to our motel room. The windows were not clean. Our room had one circuit of outlets that did not work. The ceiling tiles and floor were stained, and the room was definitely a smoking room.
The hotel was close to one of our destinations, but we did not feel safe to walk to our other destinations and drove instead. Surprisingly, this hotel was as expensive as other properties on our trip. So beware!

Very outdated. Room was dark and had an old cigarette odor.

Room was sufficient. Microwave oven had filthy turntable tray. Wi-fi was almost non existent, very poor reception! When asked about Ice was advised that had some ice trays in managers fridge. Said, never mind.

Room was clean, but the outside needed a lot of work, and people were smoking, a lot of people if my wife was with me, we would not have stayed but was by myself and I'm a big guy, had no cups, all the room had was a small bar of soap and small shampoo, and the clock did not work the first night, but the gal got me a different one. very small air unit so it was not that cool.

I wanted a cheap place to sleep, and that's what I got. The check-in was a friendly experience, the a/c was on, and the room was nice and cool upon entering. So I got what I essentially needed. But the place is in rough condition. The billboard out front indicated weekly rate options, and you can tell that this is a long stay motel for some. The decor is largely untouched and in its original state, with wood paneling in the bedroom and 50s era pink tiling in the bathroom. There was a drawer missing from a chest of drawers. Some outlets and light fixtures did not work. There was a hole in the sheet, exposing the mattress. There were stickers on the mirror, some of which were partially removed in a half-hearted attempt, while some were left untouched. There was an in-wall kleenex tissue holder that had an empty box. The room was clean, but dark with the wood paneling and limited lighting, and I chose not to assess the cleanliness too closely.
We stayed a second night in the area and opted for a different place to stay. But I got some sleep in an air-conditioned room, which was most important.

Room was dated, but clean. Plumbing was loose, and staff. Room is on second floor, and if pluming fixture breaks or loosens, it will cause serious damage to first floor room.

It was a nice spacious room. Very quaint, and unbothered with needless amenities. Great for the price!

The manager was friendly and helpful about local sights, restaurants and general sightseeing. The motel is dog-friendly and we were travelling with our dog. It is located in a pleasant neighborhood close to downtown restaurants and the Sault Locks.

The room was clean, but it smells like cat urine. I will not stay there again.

Close to the locks and maritime museum.

Simple place to stay. Definitely could use some updates, but just fine for a one night stay.

The room was spacious - we were a little cold - did not realize the bathroom window was open - but we did eventually turn up the heat. We had to ask for shampoo
The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

The motel needs to be closed to the public. I am so upset I woke up to bed bug bites all over my arms and shoulders. I didnt feel unsafe but the motel is old and run down and its not worth the 90 dollars. People live here and outside there rooms its bbq pits, old chairs and bikes. I will Never recommend this motel to anyone. The front desk ladies were very nice to me but its just a stuck in the 70's motel stay in the tourist are exit 392 on that strip. Dont put your health at risk to just save a few bucks.

Let's just say that it should have come as no surprise that this was the absolute last hotel to have a room available for rent in a 100 mile radius. Pulling into the property you knew the prospects weren't just not good, they were nonexistent. The room assigned was on the 2nd floor. The railing wasn't safe. The 2nd floor causeway felt like it was going to give way at any moment. Then for the room...1950s original. Curtains so old they had pin holes from the sun burning them for 70 years. They were draped on the rods and were useless. The room was 61 degrees, window cracked to ease the smell, no blankets for the beds, and no hot water. The low that night was 34 so kicked on the heat - baseboard heat. It never worked and probably I was safer that it didn't work as the place might have burnt down. Bathroom had no toiletries. It also had an electric plug next to the sink from 1950 that wasn't GFI. Missing lightbulbs and open sockets was the impressive bathroom decor. Bed was short to the ground as I don't think it had any springs. If you wanted the alarm clock you would need to unplug one of the lights. I honestly don't know how the city hadn't yet red tagged / condemned the property. So if you are incredibly desperate and there is the choice of booking here or spending the night in your car, well, hopefully the seat belt isn't too much of a bother.

Better locks , better curtains

Our room was a nonsmoking room but it smelled liked it was.

It's an OK place to stay on a budget and close to the Soo Locks. The motel had a good deal of clutter belonging to people staying there, but I never felt unsafe and I've stayed there a number of times.

windows were not locked. I liked that it was very quiet in the evening and people were very friendly.

Little parking. Almost every room seemed to be filled with transients from either drug rehabilitation or the local correctional facility. Building was very outdated and in disrepair. Office only open “8-ish” until dinner time. I did acquire a complimentary cigarette burn hole in my boat cover, thanks to a resident.

Run down interior. Needs repairs. Carpet had lots of stains. Mattress was so worn that I couldn't sleep. Drapes not able to hang or shut
.Smells. Bathroom ok. Manager very sweet and pleasant.

Property is in older run down area of town. Since all I need in a hotel is for it to be clean and comfortable this hotel met both requirements.

VERY dated.

The room was comfortable and clean. Because of our anniversary she upgraded us. We had 2 queen beds on ground floor. Parking was right out our front door. Yes this is an older motel, but it was clean people very friendly. Booked here because it was right near old downtown where we wanted to be. Valley Camp, Tower of History and Soo Lock Tours were within a couple of blocks.

This place is a dump. I reserved a double queen room, but i had to choose whether i wanted it because the lights didnt work and the shower faucet was broke and water was running non stop. I opted for another room, which was a single. Room was dirty, stains on floor, handicapped seat on toilet wasnt removable, curtains barely hangin on, ice machine didnt work, neighbors were noisy, roomed smelled like smoke and pee. Bed was 2 box springs and super uncomfortable. Do not stay here, this is your warning and dont say I didnt warn you.
