Fabulous hotel especially for a family holiday . Well worth it. Staff were friendly and ready to help. Perfect location where the beach is just right behind it. The facilities were good.

Pluses - Top notch cleanliness, couldn’t fault it. Sheets and towels are immaculately white. Room was spotless. All kitchen equipment was sparkling. Once I figured out a fuse had tripped in the kitchen, everything worked perfectly. All the utensils I needed apart from a corkscrew. I paid £20 for 2 dogs for 2nights and they loved it. Lovely ESPA products in bathroom. Lots of extra linen and pillows if needed. The hotel is opposite Ashton Gardens and handy to the charming rows of shops in town. The pool is lovely and def a bonus.
Minuses - Lacking character as there are no homely touches and it felt cold, (perhaps as this is not my own style choice). The room layout is confusing - the furniture seems in the wrong place making tight squeezes and obstructed views annoying. Carpet worn in stairwells. My room overlooked the back of the building and other very close apartments meaning zero privacy with curtains open (seemed poor value for price paid). The room was unbearably warm and window openings are limited. The staff are extremes of very friendly and not so much. As there is no breakfast service it can feel lonely. It is too far away from the last tram stop to go see the illuminations but some may see this as a plus?! The changing rooms for the pool area are worn. As I got changed there were women (I assume from a meeting somewhere in the hotel) walking through to use the toilet which was a bit uncomfortable.

Our stay exceeded expectations! The apartment was excellent value for money, offering a clean and comfortable space. The location is perfect—just a 3-minute walk to the sea and with an Aldi conveniently across the road. On-site parking was a huge bonus, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be returning for a longer stay!

Fantastic location, close to everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great communication prior to arrival. Our room was very comfortable, with excellent amenities, and nice bathroom products. The beds were comfortable, with nice quality bedding. The towels were also good quality. The lounge area would have benefited from some soft lighting by way of lamps, and the sofa would have been more comfortable with cushions. Although the apartment was clean on the whole, we felt there was a little room for improvement. The skirting boards were quite grubby in places, and the light in the bathroom was a little dusty. This would not deter us from staying here again though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the swimming pool. Overall this hotel got a thumbs up from us….and we are quite fussy.

This property does not meet the standards of a five-star rating, warranting a maximum of three stars. The pool is not heated and lacks recirculation, the jacuzzi was non-operational, and the steam room was small and not functioning properly. The rooms resemble an apartment with a kitchen and a kids' room, giving it a homely feel akin to an Airbnb, also it had a stench to it.
Overall it was a good stay and their hospitality was really nice.

Don't let yourselves get fooled by the "5 star hotel" description in Expedia, because this hotel doesn't even meet the standards of a 4 star hotel. If you do a quick search through My Hotel original website, you won't find anything about this Hotel being a 5 star one. Also, it says in the original website that this is an aparthotel and that the breakfast is a grab and go type one.
The facilities aren't luxurious at all, instead they're old, small and the common spaces are dirty. The staff isn't welcoming or even helpful. The only good thing about breakfast is a Starbucks machine because apart from that we can't really consider that a breakfast which is literally: apples, oranges and two types of croissant (that weren't fresh). Also, don't expect to find a Sauna (despite sauna pictures shown in the Expedia advertisement) because the place where it used to be one, is closed with not even an apology for not offering that service anymore. It has indeed a steam room: dirty and without the steam.
Adding to all of this, the room is good if you want to kill the romance between a couple: old furniture and facilities; the warmest temperature of the shower was a mix between cold and tepid water; the view through the window was towards a building wall; noisy in the corridors; no bedroom flippers, robes or had gel in the bathroom were provided.
Very overprice "Hotel" and what was supposed to be a get away for two turns up to be the disappointing experience I had in a Hotel.

Very welcoming and helpful front desk. Put our bags in the room early and helped us order a taxi. Room was lovely, really spacious (big lounge and kitchen area), bed was very comfy and high quality bedding. Couldn’t fault this place and will definitely return.

Considering this was supposed to be a 5star hotel with breakfast extra paid, the room wasn't the cleanest whilst nice interior I found quite abit of dust within environment which I wouldn't expect when it should of been cleaned before we arrived. Breakfast was also very, very poor. Literally croissants and cereal that's it. No bread for toast hot service anything even when I asked for cultery so we could eat croissants at tables got avery disgruntled member of staff saying she would get a "staff" knife
Pool was beyond FREEZING and literally unbearable to stay within

Car park does not have sufficient parking for the property, and I’m pretty sure people who are not guests use the car parking as there are no parking enforcement schemes or reg number notifications in the hotel.
Breakfast was ok , but a lack of variety considering it is only a continental breakfast (which you have to look carefully for when booking as it wasn’t obvious it was just continental.
I travelled with my two children and the single sofa bed was not suitable at all for my teenage son, I would NOT have booked this room if I had seen a picture of what is classed as a sofa bed. He didn’t get much sleep at all. Rooms incredibly hot despite it not being hot outside - fans were in the room but they just circulate warm air. The electricity meter or system inside the door of the room omits a loud buzzing sound when being used.
Overall - average stay , wouldn’t use the hotel again when travelling with my family but it would be fine for a couple - if we came by train

Top marks for staff, cleanliness, location and welcoming atmosphere. Cannot wait to return!
Steam room and jacuzzi were a little cold but that was just a minor negative.

This was a small loft room with very small windows and not a great amount of natural light .We had to climb three flights to reach the room with heavy cases .There was no soap or shampoo in bathroom.How they consider themselves as Five star is unbelievable .There was a mechanical door entry system for the main door which we couldnt see clearly to open as they were no lighting outside .

This is our second time staying here. I like the overall feel of the apartment; the decor, bay windows.
The sofa was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on. We couldn’t sit on it for any period of time. This has taken a star off the rating. That plus some drunken people wandering the building in the early hours being very loud and swearing. Not something you want when you pay to stay in a nice place with your kids and lots of other families around.
I would stay again but only if there’s was a good offer on.

Lovely hotel apartment.
The only thing i would say is on a safety point of view. My 4 year old woke up in the night at 1.10am, confused (as didnt know where he was) and when he went looking for us, he actually went out the main door to the corridor and up the stairs (we were on the first floor). It wasnt until we heard him crying through the walls that we shocked awake and went looking for him.
The night receptionist, was on and heard what had happened, but our son went up the stairs so didn't really see anything.
We got him and brought him to our bed so that it wouldnt happen again.
The reason this had happened is because the door didn't have a child lock on it, it locked but as soon as you pull the handle down from the inside it opened.
I would suggest chain locks need to be added to the doors to prevent this happening to anyone else, as this could've have been a much worse situation for us.
Apart from this we did have a plesent. I would say take tea towels and an oven glove though if you're going.

Apartment was great. Separate bedroom from living space. Didn’t use the kitchen but would be useful for longer stays.. swimming pool was amazing. Surprisingly big as the building doesn’t look massive from the outside.. very clean, good changing space for men and women.. would definitely recommend this place to others..

Hall way carpet really dirty which didnt make a good start. Very noisy fuse box and them subsequent power failure. Reception staff didnt have a torce for emergency backup so had to re pack my room with light from my phone. Moved to another room ( ground floor) where one of the sash windows lock was broken.
