What to Bring:
Firewood
Charcoal
Coffee for drip coffee maker
Coffee condiments
*We provide a starter amount of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags etc. These are meant to last a couple of days. If you're booking a longer stay, you will want to bring more of these items.
River's Edge is so close to town but feels remote! Experience the best of both worlds here. This "Mountain Modern" house is tucked away on the banks of the Tuckasegee River with a dirt road and the Smoky Mountain Railroad fronting the property. Guests enjoy watching the tourist train pass by, especially in November and December when it's decorated for the Polar Express! Old River road is also a great resource offering prime river access or take a leisure walk down the long dirt road. The house is also only about a mile away from Deep Creek, which is park of The Smoky Mountains National Park.
Getting Around: Driving is our recommendation. Biking and walking to town are options. Be aware that there are not sidewalks between the house and town. However, people do walk this section along the side of the road. Traffic can be heavy along this stretch of road and the side of the road isn't well maintained.
1. This property has gravel parking for one standard sized Vehicle. No Trailers allowed
2. We do allow dogs for a fee. 2 dogs up to 50lbs each maximum. Please read and adhere to our pet rules while staying in our house. Once you add your dog(s) to the guest count, the pet fee will be displayed in the summary of charges. We have strick pet rules: No dogs on the furniture/bed(s) for any reason. No dogs running loose on our property. Pickup dog waste. Hair found on furniture or in linens will incur an addition charge beyond the pet fee.
3. The house has a full kitchen and almost everything you would need to prepare any meal. However, the kitchen is not stocked with condiments or supplies with the exception of a few spices and salt and pepper.
4. The sleeper sofa lays down into a full sized bed. It's comfortable for 1 to 2 people and linens are provided.
5. There are two other vacation rental dwellings on this property. Each house has its own private outdoor space.
6. The Great Smoky Mountains railway runs in front of the property. This is a scenic tourist train that runs during the day/evening/early night and is a big reason why people visit Bryson City. It does not run during the night when people generally are sleeping.

It was a really unique place… Love being on the river and quirky with the railroad track right in front, but we didn’t hear any trains. Everything we needed and was clean and appeared newly renovated. Would highly recommend.

Cool place. Very clean and up to date. Just the right amount of seclusion but still very close to the town and things to do, especially the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance and tubing.

Love this space. Small but perfect for us and our small dog. Place was very clean. And right outside of downtown Bryson City.

This little house is a few yards from a river , but the inside of this little house/cabin is fully modernized, king size bed , soo comfortable u wont want to get out, owners are so awesome, very quite but minutes from downtown Bryson, the driveway is tricky but the info they inform with gives u a heads up. Loved the stay will do again👍

House was very clean and much roomier than anticipated. Be careful or you may miss the turnoff to the home as the road leading in is a little unorthodox.

Loved our stay in this tiny house. Especially loved sitting around the fire pit each night. The accommodations were beyond our expectations!

Our stay at River's Edge surpassed our expectations! The view of the river is spectacular, the location is very close to town and if your adventurous, you could probably walk to town. Property was clean and well maintained. The bed is VERY soft but that's just a personal preference. Communication with owner was quick and answered all my questions. All in all, a great place to stay in Bryson City and would stay again.

We enjoyed our trip out to Bryson City. The cabin is so close to Bryson City you can hit it with a rock from the front porch. I made the mistake of not reading all the information ahead of time and came down the long way via Old River Road. If you are reading this do not attempt to drive down this "road." The other side next to the railroad was much easier. Everything was great!

We were there to fly fish. Our guide picked us up right in front of the cabin, and that’s where we ended our day in the river. Extremely convenient.
In fact Bryson City is so compact that it’s convenient to anything in town.
Great location, great spot to stay

My first impression was that the place felt very clean. I enjoyed coming back to rest here after a couple long days of hiking. I had everything i needed including a comfortable bed, full kitchen and wifi. I also really enjoyed the views of the river. Check-out instructions were clear and simple. I would definitely rent here again!

We were so sad we only booked for one night. We loved this place! My 2 year old loved watching the train go by. The view of the river was great too!

Nice place, intresting access beside a RR, way to many notes from owners on things you need to do, from restroom, A/C-Heat and pets. But otherwise very nice

Easy location for the Smokey mountain railroad. Host was wonderful and helpful. Property is super clean.
You will hear the train running right in front of the house, but a sound machine for our little one plus exhaustion from the polar express did the trick.

We had a nice stay. The space was adequate for two adults and a small dog. We enjoyed the view of the river from the porch, as well as the proximity to town. We would rent again.

We enjoyed the space. Of course, we lived outside with the grill and fire and seeing the river. My only suggestion is to invest in a new firepit.

We loved the house and thought the decorating was really cute. Just enough room in living area for our dog crate/not sure if a large one would have fit very good. Had a wonderful time enjoying Bryson (train ride) and would absolutely recommend staying at River Edge. Thank you so much and my dog was so grateful to be able to come with us.

The perfect spot for our family! Impressed with how well this house was stocked with necessities. All you need to bring are your clothes 😊

River's Edge was just the rigjt size for the two of us. Everything was so clean and well furnished for a quick getaway. I loved the information binder and the labels in various places that made things easier to understand. I would definitely recommend this unit.

I brought my grandson to the area to learn about the Cherokee culture and history. The house we stayed in was immaculate. Only one train went during our overnight, which made me smile as I grew up by railway. We visited the Indian Village first and went to the house in the daylight. Google maps sent us on a very long, bumpy dirt road with horrendously deep pothole. My fault as I chose that route from Cherokee rather than emailed alternative route I was sent. We loved the house, the location was good. Wish I had a house like it instead of a 3 bed 2 bath one which had filled with relatives,
