Unexpectedly wonderful! In the center of old town with plenty of dining and shopping. Perfect for our family with two older kids. Parking was difficult but that is typical of a medieval town.

I am not sure how this hotel has good reviews. First of all, this is technically not a hotel. It is like Air B&B where there is no front desk, and you get access codes 2-3 days before your booking. This hotel is inside a very narrow old street, so taxi driver will drop you outside and you have to walk at least half mile on cobblestone road to reach the property. Good luck in dragging your luggages on the cobblestone road. There is no clear directions or hotel tag, so it is not easy to find the property. Once you are at the property, you have to enter an access code on an old keypad to enter the hotel which gave me very hard time and I had to punch codes 3-4 times for getting in. Then, elevator is tiny which also requires an access code and I had to make three trips to transport my luggages and family.
Room was very very dusty with old carpet, old sofa and old curtains having dust and spider webs. My kids started coughing due to dust as soon as we entered in the room. Since they have no front desk, the only way to contact property owner is through messaging. We immediately left this hotel. This hotel wasted my one entire day during my visit to Lyon. I never had such a bad experience with a hotel.
Also, if you buy breakfast from them, it is cold breakfast with some bakery items, which they leave outside your room in the morning.

I didn't realize this was a "virtual" hotel with no front desk until I received an email a few days before our planned check-in, requesting that I call in to arrange payment in order to receive the door codes. I thought I had prepaid on Expedia, just like my other bookings. Anyhow, the staff on the phone were very courteous and helpful, all was worked out. The suite was very nice and spacious which was welcome. I wish the living room area had bigger coffee tables so that we could more comfortably eat our meals and put down our coffee mugs, but otherwise no complaints about the suite.
Recommend.

What’s a better way to experience Lyon’s old city than to stay in a traboule? Really loved how our modern room blended with the architecture of the old Lyon. The suite was spacious, well designed and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great hotel.

Checking in was easy. Once you are in your room, if you need something like extra towels, it is not easy to get them on the phone. Once you do get people on the phone, they are very helpful and nice though.
There is no parking on site, so you unload and then someone parks the car.
There is a Boulangerie about 2 min from the door and lots of other restaurants. It’s a great location for exploring.

It was awful.

I felt like I was stay in Oz... You never meet anyone from the hotel, you're sent a code to enter and told to email or call if there are any problems.
The location was great and the room was very comfortable for the most part. The air conditioner did not work and I was told they put a fan in the room and there was nothing they could do but that they wouldn't charge me for the water in the mini-bar. All this was by messaging, no one ever called to talk with me.

This is a very interesting hotel right in the middle of Old Lyon. It is unique in that there is no physical reception, or people, although they are available by phone. You are sent codes to get you into the front door, the elevator, and your room once you find it. In our case we weren’t sent the code to our door so we had to call. The rooms are in unique places. We had to go in the door of the hotel, up two levels in the elevator, then down a small narrow spiral staircase one level, then up 3-4 steps, then up two more levels in another elevator, then through another door to a hallway where our room was located. ALL OF THIS WITH HEAVY LUGGAGE WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND REQUIRED NUMEROUS TRIPS AND WAS VERY DIFFICULT. While this hotel is very unique, and is in one of the old Traboules of Lyon, we would not recommend it for older people with heavy luggage. The staff that we communicated with we’re awesome, and extremely helpful, and helped us arrange for someone to come help us with our luggage and to get us to the Train Station. A great place for younger people with light luggage. It would be good if they told people of the difficult access with heavy luggage during the booking process.

First I received an email to contact them to confirm my room despite I prepaid it via hotel.com. No one answer the phone. I then email them and still no response. I then receive a threatening email that unless I reach them my reservation will be cancelled by 4 pm. What the hell!
I call again and they answer, I expressed how I wasn’t happy and paid the room already. I was told that the office open at 10 am and why no one pick up the phone. As to why don’t they answer my email then? They did not see it yet was their answer. All of this because they wanted to transfer my credit card charge which was on hold to be paid and I don t know why they needed me since I prepaid it as I always do when booking.
Nice room, comfortable but terrible access to get to it. There is no service at all and it’s complicated to get to your room.
Access is extremely difficult as you need to enter 4 different code at different stages. You take an elevator twice and yet still have to walk half floors going up a narrow spiral stair case. It’s challenging and stressful with luggages. Also the code didn’t always work to add to the issue and one as to call the a phone number to get help. Good luck if you don’t have a phone or data.
Of great concern, if there was a fire, you are not getting out easily or not at all. The emergency exit stair case was locked and who know where it leads since access to the outside is in several stages.
I would not go back to this property.

The property right in the middle of the old town, very convenient. The room has style and the bathroom area is specious witha big modern shower. Very important. Enough plugs for modern device charging. Another big plus. But the wall is painted black, so it's hard to see the usbc and outlet way down on the black wall. The communication is great and they try to help with all the requests. The only drawback is the room door witht he code. It's kind of tricky how to open it after pressing the code. It needs two person to do it together. I could hardly opened it on the 1st try. Alwasy 2 or more times. Otherwise it's a pleasant stay. Thanks.

The apartment was very cozy with space to stretch out! All of the features were excellent. Easy to turn on and off the lights all from a single pad. Easy walking to everywhere! Plenty of restaurants right around.

This hotel will not let you check in before 17:00 (5PM) which is very late for a family with kids. Especially during a lockdown when all of Lyon is closed. Only if you pay €30 will they let you check in ealier - although the hotel was almost empty.
In addition we paid for breakfast for 4 people and in our confirmation from hotels.com it was indeed stated that we had paid for 4 breakfast. However, they only delivered 2 breakfast and were super rude about it when I called (they did not pick up until 10am so long after breakfast time).
I do not recommend this hotel.
Rude staff and bad hotel concept where they prioritize what is good and convenient for the HOTEL not for the paying GUESTS. Over priced place. Will not come back!

Great hotel with nice location in old city district

A hidden gem in many respects - beautiful decor and style, clean, spacious and private, great location however, it relies totally on tech and across codes, which didn’t work with us and rather sullied what would otherwise have been a 5* experience. There is no person contact here and I’m my view a 15 minutes welcome in person, check in and explain everything would’ve made this verging on exceptional.
