Excellent hotel at which I have stayed many times and always enjoyed
4.0
As usual, nice hotel, good rooms, good breakfast and all fine, except this time the room was like an oven and the property had switched off the ability to cool the room, so even at 16 degrees setting it was pumping out heat. Could not leave the window open due to train noise and had an uncomfortable sweaty night.

The service was rather poor, we wasnt welcomed in nothing explained to us, had no idea how to use the key for the swimming pool, found the hotel not value for money, the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful unsure of his name, however didnt seem very well run, shame the sauna was closed also that was never mentioned before or even on our visit, wouldnt say its very good for children, no nice touches

Great check in staff
Parking is at the station carpark, it was full at the weekend.

Breakfast had a fantastic choice and was delicious

Loved everything about it. Excellent, clean hotel right next to Cambridge North station. My favourite part about it was the large UHD TV in the room that allowed me to cast my Prime and Netflix content.

It was great

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern, the rooms are comfortable and clean.
The swimming pool is good but the changing rooms were messy and it looked like they are cleaned often.
It would be nice if the hotel could offer parking.
4.0
Nice clean room but the bathroom door was like a mirror and see through so we had ZERO privacy in the shower and toilet, not very nice when your sharing a room with your family. We had to put a huge towel over the door to shower etc throughout our stay
4.0
Nice four star hotel with nice comfortable rooms but the pool area including the changing need to have a number items fixed and much better cleaning. The hotel is on the outskirts of Cambridge so not walking distance into Cambridge

Food was OK - starter of Calimari was very greasy and clearly just frozen food deep fried. Main course pizza was nice.
Shower in my room (401) was terrible with very little water pressure or flow. Reception informed,

Lovely hotel. Very quiet and comfortable. Would stay again

Great hotel and facilities only negative is no parking for the hotel itself. There is the station car park next door which was full so I had to use the park and ride which isn’t very close and so cost me a lot
3.0
Good clean new hotel as I would expect.
However, the shower has abysmal water pressure, and the accessible room I was in was very strange, not only was it on the 6th floor the bathroom layout was odd, and I think a pedal bin isn't the best thing for a potentially disabled occupant?

Nice hotel in convenient location. Good facilities with nice gym and pool.

It is alright value for money. Parking is a pain and expensive, you are actually using paid train station parking next to hotel and it can be a long walk to haul the suitcase.

Really nice hotel in a good location to get in and out of the city. Hotel was clean and inviting only observation is that as they allow dogs to stay in rooms there probably needs to be a slightly more rigourous cleaning regime (or potentially different cleaning equipment to get the hair out of carpets etc.)

Stayed at the Novotel for two nights and would highly recommend.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Hotel itself was nice but had a number of issues, gym changing area was very dirty, towels everywhere and only few lockers, some were broken. Worst experience iv ever had at a hotel with the staff. No friendly greeting, a smile was to much to ask. I heard one of the staff arguing with a guest around breakfast area in front of all the other guest, very unprofessional. Later on the day I had a similar issue with another staff at front desk arguing with me, no intention of coming to an agreement but rather argue in front of all the other guest

Lovely hotel, great facilities and good transport links into Cambridge centre. Alternatively there is a lovely river path into town if you don't mind a 45-60 min walk.

Hotel was nice, room was ready ontime. Comfy beds. Lovely staff. Room only set up for 2 people not 3. Not enough toilet roll. Changing rooms not very clean and rust around swimming pool.

Booked online requested a cot for 2 year old, which was not ready in the hotelroom, but easily organised after we seen the room. Access card needed for the pool, clear explanation how and what regarding the pool, although towels was an issue. No clean towels ready at the pool. No staff stationed down there, when ringing internal to reception, the staff member picking of the phone did not understand what I meant with “There’s no towels outside the pool changing area”!. It took three times explaining before he said he understood, not seen anyone in several minutes, gave up, when we were done swimming it was re stocked. Decided to have dinner at the hotel, this took again three times to confirm our order, with the result we got 1 of our 2 main children meals and it seemed to take quite a while before we received our meals. With nothing too extravagant ordered from the menu, it was still just under £100. The receipt confirmed a 10% additional charge for staff (on top of their wage), which I personally would have wanted to decide myself and with the experience that evening I maybe would have not added any % at all.
In the morning used the hair dryer, after an early swim. Not alert enough I moved my head while drying (like you do) and my hair got caught in the back bit it the dryer. It pulled quit a bit off, resulted in pain and headache. I took a picture and mentioned this with the check out . Staff member could only say: “Oh, that’s not nice!” Back cover missing? Needs checking!

Quiet and modern. Bad air con that left the room warm stuffy, annoying toilet/bathroom door and terrible coffee

As my kids likes to look at trains, suggest family room can also be on higher floor so kids are able to look at train station and trains passing by

It was ok, I came to Cambridge for the bank holiday weekend. I had asked the receptionist if we could have some bath robes as our room did not have any, and was told it would be a charge of £10 to rent even tho other people we knew there had robes in their room and didn’t have to pay extra. The receptionist then said she’d make an exception for us and bring them up to our room for free but never did. Our room had extra duvet and sheets for the sofa bed which wasn’t needed and they didn’t move it when it came to cleaning the room which was a bit odd, and I had a few dirty towels which I had wanted changed but wasn’t, and the towels that were taken were not replaced with fresh towels. And we had kept our key card in the room and had taken one with us, and when we came back it was missing and replaced with a random card unrelated to the hotel. And our loo roll has ran out and wasn’t replaced either which was kinda odd too so we had to request some.
8.0
-not enough staff for check in
-no bathrobes but pool a long distance from rooms
-poor system for pool/gym access where need to go to reception each time to request a physical card to access pool area only valid for 1 hour
-no towels in pool area (poor re-stocking)
-filthy chairs in restaurant that need discarding
-poor system for shampoo / shower gel where only tiny amount in large bottle in case customers take with them (finished in one day and not refilled!)
-rusty tables in otherwise pleasant pool area
-emergency telephone in pool/gym area not connected
Hotel itself is very good for families and good value. Rooms comfortable and good balance of comfort/ economy. Location is excellent.
Shane it is poorly managed and under staffed.

Loved everything about this property. Family and dog friendly. Extremely clean and well maintained. Only minor downside - not enough food spots within walking distance, however the co-op is right across the street.

My room was nice and clean. It was quiet. I tried the breakfast once and it was a very good English breakfast but a bit expensive. There is a co-op supermarket right opposite of the hotel that provides more affordable food options.
I appreciated the two free bottles of water I got every day. One with still and one with sparkling water.
The shower was fantastic. It was spacious with a variety of options to configure how the water falls.
I was there with my bicycle and the hotel does not have bicycle parking so I used the cycle parking at the train station right next to it. During the night the handlebar grips and and bicycle chain were stolen from it.
Apart from that the area around the hotel looks nice and newly developed.
I used the gym a couple of times. It is rather small and limited but is useful for some evening exercise. The process to get there is a bit tedious. Every time a guest wants to visit the gym, pool or sauna he has to get a plastic touch card from reception on the ground floor to get in. The card only works once so next time you go you have to go to reception again for a new card.
I didn't use the pool. Every time I checked there were lots of people there with their kids and it was way to busy for my taste.
The pool and sauna close at 9pm, the gym at 10pm so if you are working during the day and want to use them in the evening after dinner, there is not much time.
All in all I enjoyed my stay.

Very modern hotel just outside of the city centre. Very quiet inside especially as it overlooks the rail tracks.
Swimming pool a nice little added bonus but small.
Very dusty rooms and the corridors very dirty.

Just far from city centre. Otherwise we had a good experince. Lovely hotel.

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the facilities were spot on. Although the space saving bathroom was not to our liking.
The cooked breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly, polite and informative. Would recommend and definitely come back again.

there should be better attention to cleanliness
the room i stayed had a sofa bed with old bread crumbs and dirt on opening up the sofa bed
There was dirt underneath the larger bed in the room as well and that was really bad ..

Hotel was fine. The pool was small & really busy. I had some money stolen from our room by the cleaner. Complained twice to reception to try & resolve the situation while staying- got told management would be in touch. Nobody contacted me. Complained again at check out. Told management would call. Over a week on and no call.
