The toilets had very low pressure.
You had to flush once wait for five minutes for it to fill again to flush again.
Our pillowcases had dry blood on them.
I felt the linens were old and needed to be replaced.
Our bed was very soft. I think the mattress needs to be replaced.
There were never any paper cups at the coffee station. only plastic. Who wants to make a hot coffee and a plastic cup?
Breakfast was very slow. Not any fault of the waiter. But just understaffed. They should have two wait staff at breakfast.
The stuff were very friendly.
The management wasn’t that great.

Check in was a breeze , food was good , room was clean , overall good experience! Definitely would come back.

The space was clean and staff is nice if you tip well, other than that its not super special. They offer all inclusive drinks and food but drinks are quite weak which is reasonable due to the heat and all. Other than that a good 8/10 will definitely visit again with my husband.

Our arrival was excellent, room was not ready but we are able to use the facility and have lunch. 1st room was noisy due to the karaoke bar outside (I have sleep issues), flush was also not working. 2nd room was arranged due to aforementioned and it was perfect, not too loud, AC was perfect, no hot water but was fixed right away! It was very spacious! I just wish there are more plugs on wall by the bed. The best part was the staff, they were professional and welcoming! They were also very attentive and very timely asking us if we are okay and if we need anything. The food was also great! Not super fancy but they were delicious! I remember having 2 lunches or 2 dinners on some days haha! You need to try the marzipan flavoured drink, it’s delicious! Housekeeping was also outstanding, very clean! They make your bed everyday just like the first time you arrived in the room, it was like a new bed. It’s literally on the 5th avenue which makes the shopping, beach and the tour pickups very accessible! You need to meet Oscar, tour rep, just outside the hotel in his booth if you need to book some tours! He will give you some good deals. We really enjoyed our stay! I already told my friends about our wonderful experience. Hasta luego! :)

The service was non existent. There is no way this can be considered a five star hotel. From the moment we arrived nobody paid us attention to check in, that process took 30 minutes. Dinner that night we were sat there for three hours and the food was average at best. The next morning we went to breakfast at 7am when it opened and nobody was working there. Waited 30 minutes and had to leave for our excursion with no food. One of our rooms had no hot water. When we came back that afternoon we saw the manager and said this is unacceptable we have to move somewhere else. He said he approved to refund us and I’m still waiting on that. We booked another stay at iberostar nearby where at least we could eat. A terrible experience.

Well our check was not pleasant. I didn’t like that Lunch and Dinner were alocarte and there was not much of a menu item to my liking. Upon arrival when we where taken to our room it was severely warm and there was no ceiling fan to support the AC which was not putting enough cold air into the room.. Only one staff member server on the roof top looked very unpleasant to the eye and a bit over worked also the view to the ocean can be seen nor city didn’t set well with us.. Asian sushi restaurant was only open on the weekend that was a bummer. Overall this Yucantan hotel it needs some work.. I won’t be coming back unless these concerns are addressed or updated..

How close it was to the shopping area! But I didn’t like how small the gym was.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. Thank you to Luis, Epi, and team for amazing service.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights for our honeymoon. The hotel is not the biggest but has a great, relaxing vibe. Super nice facilities including rooftop pool and bar/restaurant. The food is always super tasty and of high quality.

I came to playa de Carmen to have dental treatment so not a vacation. Booked a suite knowing I will be spending some time in our room. The room was large and airy and had everything we needed. The day of the surgery I had got blood on the towels. Housekeeping reported this to the manager who came up to see me. She was lovely and asked if there was anything the hotel could get me from soup to a dr. Even though I couldn’t eat my husband had room service and it was all good quality food. I will definitely return when I have to go back in January.

This was a great adults only Resort the property is small. It includes a rooftop pool 24 hour coffee and tea with cakes and fruits Coca-Cola and water in a small fridge. lunch dinner and breakfast is served à la cart from a menu. Drinks are available from one bar at the rooftop, breakfast is served downstairs in the lobby. Dinner and brunch is served upstairs on the rooftop. The property does not have a lot of amenities, but it was great for my stay. The only thing that I did not like about the property is that my role smell a little like mildew/sewage. Didn’t complain I was not sure if that was the scent of Mexico or the hotel. Plus, I travel from a different hotel called Ocean Zen, which was her horrible so this was on earth compared to what I previously left. The beach is like a five minute walk away, but the location of the beach was horrible. It also smelled like sewage and mildew at the beach. Probably nothing any American will want to get in.

Magnificent hotel! The only suggestion I'd have is to vary the menu options a bit more as we found ourselves repeating the same choices over our stay even though they have an "Italian night" and a Japanese themed option that you can make reservations for.

Due to Hurricane Beryl, I was only able to stay for a total of 2 days. I will describe the resort & separate that from the handling of the hurricane given its unique circumstance.
Food: The options were good & varied—portions are small, but they make an effort to include dietary restrictions which was fabulous. At mealtime, Oscar, a staff, was especially considerate about this! He went above and beyond and it was much appreciated. The food is not authentic and very much catered to American clientele. The most authentic food was the breakfast options.
Room: We were given a room that had a couch. The couch had nasty, brown stains throughout. We did not use this couch. In addition, we had many keycard troubles. I went down to reception to explain this and request assistance as our keycard did not open the door. The receptionist asked if I let the keycard be in the Sun or put it behind my phone and I responded no, as I kept it deep in my purse while laying out. He did not believe me and reset the card. I went back to the room and took video evidence that it was not working. They sent someone eventually after sitting outside of the room for a while. They weren’t able to fix the door so they relocated us to another room, which was fine, whatever.
Now, when the news of the hurricane first came, their communication printed and taken to our room completely minimized it. We were told to speak to hotel staff if we had concerns and so we went down and did express these fears. The

Everyone was super nice. The hotel is not in front of the beach but is a block away very close! A lot to see around the hotel ! Great food and ambience!

Great boutique resort. Very clean, staff was attentive and awesome. Location is close to many popular destinations for dining like Rockas and El Fogon or beach locations like Mamitas. The food was great as well. Nice rooftop pool. It’s more on the calm end of a resort. Super chill vibe if you’re looking for a resort to have good food and drinks, and relax in a clean hotel.

Due to our previous experience, we were expecting a resort with a private beach, a huge swimming pool, a swim-up bar, multiple buffet and specialty restaurants, nightly live performances, including walking trails with opportunities to see wildlife, and included transportation. We found none of those as Yucatan Resort, a hotel located next to the tourist-crowded Fifth Avenue, offered a different experience. It had a small team of staff to work at two rooftop restaurants next to a small pool. As an all-inclusive resort, unlimited drinks were included, but the menu had very limited options (we tried everything in two days). Anything that spells s-t-e-a-k-s would cost extra! Having said that, the resort offered live music (bands and DJs) next to the pool for a couple of hours from Friday to Sunday. The staff were generally friendly and the building was well-maintained.

Great property and amazing staff. Could use better water pressure in the rooms, and more options on menu.

Only complaint was dinner service. They were not prepared for the amount of people but otherwise a great experience overall.

We stayed at the Yucatán with an all inclusive package. The service was excellent! Yessica, Epi, Ivan and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our stay special and were very attentive. The hotel was very clean, and food and drinks were wonderful. The hotel has a very calm energy, which is great since the rest of the city is so lively. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, a two minute walk to a popular tourist street with food, shopping and entertainment. My only complaint is that our room was located close to a venue/bar that doesn’t close until 2am or so, so if you have early morning activities know that falling asleep early might be difficult with the commotion from the street. Aside from that it was a lovely stay! I would definitely come back.

I was surprised that no dessert option was gluten free. Come on it's vacation!

We did not like having to make a dinner reservation at an all-inclucive resort.

The resort was beautiful and everyone was very attentive, they help with whatever we needed and the all inclusive package was very beneficial!

The property was good and clean. The food options were not good at all! For it being an all exclusive your options were limited! Every meal was a sit down meal and you were unable to grab and go! Every time you ordered food you’d wait 1 1/2 hours. Most times if we had plans we had to do it around how long the food would take which a lot of the times it would run into our excursion times! It was not worth paying for the all inclusive part! The liquor was also bottom shelf.

Lovely property conveniently located (5 minute walk from the beach). Excellent staff. The hotel could use some upgrades (worn window drapes, sputtering taps, etc.). The a la carte menu is delicious and offers lots of variety for a few days (less than a week). The snack bar had lots of fresh guava that we enjoyed daily. The noise at night is great music but may be disturbing to some.

I liked the staff and the hospitality.
6.0
The property itself was nice but my room was a little worn down. It was located within a walkable distance from a few different beaches and tons of restaurants and shopping.
8.0
Overall everything was fine. The door to the room shouldn’t have a gap between the bottom of floor bugs can get in
8.0
The staff was excellent. The property borders 5th Avenue. Which is a very busy street with a lot of night life. If that is why you are going to Mexico then this property will be excellent for you. However, I did not and therefore did not enjoy very loud music coming from the bars until 2:30 in the morning, which actually seemed to get louder at 1 or 2 am. I am new to travelling to Mexico so I understand that is my lack of awareness, not blaming the hotel but would have been nice if that was presented in the information when making the booking.

Our stay was wonderful. Clean, friendly staff, easy access to the beach and shopping, good variety of food at the resort and many restaurants close by.
5.0
Nice resort - friendly staff - could use additional umbrellas at the pool - great food but could have a larger selection - loud area to stay in due to proximity to 5th avenue and the other close resorts; however, there is direct access to 5th Avenue, which is also positive!
