Hotel was cheap so for the price it was great. Close to everything, train station, cinema, food and plenty shops and activities. Hotel was cleaner than expected for the price and area. It is glasgow as a local i know its a colourful nightlife in the area. Hotel bed was two singles pushed together when we had a double room. The springs were super uncomfy like ive never had such a cheap mattress before or broken one, but it was the only bad thing we had to deal with, tv didnt get a good picture either but we werent too bothered about that but others might be. We only stayed one night for closeness to a concert so id say its great as a cheap base but anything more id have rather paid more for comfort. Building is very secure which i liked, you need keycards for elevator and stairs so only guests and staff can access where we were. Did not try the food sadly we wanted to try other local eats instead but seemed reasonable pricing.

The hotel was fine for an overnight stay clean, central location and beds were comfortable. We arrived early due to travel and got into our room early which was good. The lady on the reception was very polite and welcoming. The only down side to our stay was we were in a room with an adjoining door to the next room. The couple in the next room were very vocal and noisey so you could hear everything they were saying and came in at 2am singing! Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep.

Great place you visit Glasgow from. Comfortable bed and great staff. We were also able to store our bikes at the reception. The price was also good for a big city.

The location is great the beds were comfortable and clean staff were excellent but the rooms and public areas etc are in need of cleaning up and painting place looks a bit run down

Happy with our stay at the Clyde. Really good location, nice comfortable room and lovely, friendly staff.

The pluses: Clean hoteld and very friendly receptionists.
Minuses:
1. Asked for a quiet room and was allocated one overlooking the inner courtyard, which was very noisy with large machine motors.
2. Breakfast: Unfriendly service. I was forced to pay £9.95 for a slice of toast and a coffee, there being no possibility to pay less for a very small breakfast. In addition, the coffee machine was not working so I was reduced to a Nescafe packet. No apology and no reduction.

Hotel is not in a good state, very slow elevator, noizy room and old bed and sedding. The shower was very outdated and not clean. For the price they charged I expected more. Staff not friendly.

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was dated but comfortable enough. The bathroom was not in good condition and seriously needs an upgrade.
Walls were paper thin, could hear talking from rooms further down the hallway.
The lift gave the impression it was going to break at any second.

Nice hotel for short stay. Room clean and tidy, basic amenities with kettle and functioning TV. On arrival was advise about £50 deposit required despite paying in full at booking, staff reassured this would be refunded immediately to card on checkouts which was false as neglected to. inform me bank can hold money for further 7 days so be wary of this.

Stay was good. Place was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t need to say anymore

Bedroom ok, bathroom is terrible, The left elevator is unsafe because of potholes on the floor. Is very dangerous that the left elevator, should be upgraded it is. People are scary from this, you know! :(

Be great when it’s fully open
