We really enjoyed our stay at banks

The breakfast was lovely and everything had been thought of. There was nothing more you could want in a continental breakfast. The location was convenient for a short walk to the seafront. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated and comfortable.

When booking B&B for £120 the least you should receive is a bed you can sleep in. We didn't get that

Breakfast was for us to make.

The room was above a restaurant. That Saturday the restaurant hosted a party which went on till after midnight. Live music was played through an amplifier which accentuated the bass and reverberated through the bed and floor. Consequently we got no sleep until after 1am when the guests and staff finally left. We booked this room at the end of June. We were only told by phone on 28th July (the day before we checked in) that this event would take place. We reported the music was too loud at 21.45. Apparently this information had been sent to Booking.com app on 25 July which we did not see until it was copied to us by WhatsApp on 29 July at 2147 after we complained about the noise. The information about live music was given to us too late for us to make alternative arrangements at that time of year. The fact that the restaurant and the B&B business are linked and are known as Banks Restaurant & Rooms and Banks Beds & Continental Breakfast makes this mistake even more egregious.

Great place to stay for a long weekend visit.

Very clean, cosy, just what you need for a long weekend.

The bed was a bit small, a king size bed in the room would have been much more comfortable, but for a couple of nights the double was fine.

It was really lovely, clean and the facilities were good.

We found it a little bit tricky to find how to get into the property (although the host had tried their best with the instructions, we just weren’t great at following them!)

Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The room was immaculate- possibly the cleanest hotel/ B&B I’ve stayed at. My pictures really don’t do it justice! We were visiting my friends about 15 minutes away, so we didn’t have a look around the area, but there was parking right outside which was very handy. The rooms come with a good breakfast section, including a mini fridge with milk, yogurts & cheese/ham, and there was a ceiling fan too which was great in the hot weather! The bathroom was also immaculate, with a large walk in shower. The beds were firm, but very comfy, and such quiet rooms too! We will definitely stay again next time we visit the area😊

There was free wifi, however the connection wasn’t the best in our room- other than that it was perfect!

I stayed the first night with a friend for the night before my wedding and on the second night stayed with my husband on

Loved that access was coded so you could easily come and go as you please. Everything was perfect. Plenty of different breakfast options. Everything you needed available. Great spacious room.

Felt like home! Definitely recommended

The room was beautiful, superb cleanliness and great location, but without any doubt it was Mark, the host, who made my time in Banks Bead & Breakfast the best of the experiences. Thanks Mark for making me feel like home!

Excellent service. Very clean.

You have to be aware of noisy cars throughout the night driving past . I was suprised for such an isolated spot. This has nothing to do with accommodation that was excellent but might help if you are a light sleeper.

Everything we needed!

Such a lovely host and was a perfect stay. Netflix on the TV, super clean and modern room.

Breakfast was not fresh but was bought, but was still perfect!

really lovely, very clean room and very friendly host

lovely large room exceptionally clean everything you needed lovely bathroom plenty of hooks, decent sized shelf in shower, big enough to fit all your toiletries on

the bed was far too soft and a small double. lots of cushions but only one pillow each. would’ve preferred a firmer bed and pillows. it’s quite noisy from the cocktail bar across the road but this didn’t bother us as we were out for most of the evening and it did seem to close up before midnight parking available but unfortunately it’s used by the restaurant customers so never could park there when returning in the evening.

Very lovely room, nice and clean and fresh looking

Thought we was having a cooked breakfast but it was continental. Although the breakfast supplied was very fresh, cant beat a xooked breakfast after a night out.

Sheppey is really worth visiting and this is a really nice accommodation

A great find on the Isle

The location, facilities, toiletries, bed and breakfast were all 1st class. We booked it at the last minute and were most welcome by our host.

We liked everything about this place. We had dinner in the restaurant which was fab.

Beautiful and relaxing stay on the island

What a beautiful place to stay. Our room was tasteful, immaculately clean and so comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was wonderful too and we had a delicious meal. Georgette greeted us and was so warm and helpful. Lovely to see such a high quality place to stay on the island.

Location near small village with takeaway shops. Lovely property with excellant hosts who would and did go out of their way for us. Beautiful large room with very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. Hope to return some time.

Lovely hotel, with an exclusive and cosy feel.

The room was very well-furnished, warm and very comfortable. Quality furniture and a very comfortable mattress. Coffee bags supplied, rather than instant coffee; always a nice touch!

Some noise from traffic, but it wasn't too bad. This would not be a reason to not stay at Banks.

A very pleasant and uncomplicated stay.

A very nice hotel, the room was comfortable well fitted out and clean, with parking facilities just across the road. I would imagine that on a nice summers’ day the view from the terrace whilst having a drink or a meal and looking out over the lowlands to the South over Sheppey and to the estuary would be quite exceptional. The hosts were exceptionally helpful even to the point offering to running me too and from the wake I was attending due to a lack of available taxes, a truly unexpected and exceptional service, I'm particularly grateful for the return journey at 10pm at night. The full English breakfast complete with coffee press was just what the doctor ordered and was served in the restaurant downstairs by very polite staff with a very good ask and you shall receive attitude.
