About this cottage rental

Lying within a private gated drive, Ridgeway Farmhouse sits in the heart of Shakespeare country with wonderful views in all directions and in the distance, peeping through the trees, a glimpse of Ragley Hall, the stately home on whose grounds the farmhouse resides.

The large windows and generously proportioned rooms combine with clean lines and a neutral colour scheme to create a light and stylish home that has a peaceful and calm air about it, and plenty of room for all. The ground floor is the perfect sociable gathering space with a large dining room, huge living room with cosy sofas, a wood-burning stove and double doors to the garden. Upstairs four spacious bedrooms including a master with an ensuite, and a private balcony, offer comfortable sanctuaries at the end of a busy day. Throughout the house, large picture windows put the view front and centre stage.

Ridgeway Farmhouse sits within a large wraparound garden. Roses border the front wall along with a large blackberry bush, which come autumn is laden with luscious dark fruit, just ripe for picking or perhaps turning into a pie! Meandering around the side, you'll find two Adirondack chairs perfectly placed so you can lounge in the sunshine, G&T in hand watching the birds of prey soar overhead, and then to the rear, a large lawn where a cantilevered parasol casts shade over the outside dining table and chairs, and a wood-fired hot tub where you can relax in the warm water and soak in the view to your hearts' content.

*2 well-behaved dogs are permitted at the cottage for an additional fee. The pet fee is NOT included in your booking fee. A request for an additional fee per pet will be sent to you after you have placed your booking. Your pet fee must be paid for before your arrival date.

*Please make yourself aware of the hot tub rules and hours of use. An additional fee applies, and it must be requested at the time of booking.

Two large oatmeal sink-in sofas sit at right angles to the wood-burning stove, whilst a 55" Smart TV affords everything needed in the entertainment stakes. Marble-topped lamp tables provide handy spaces for drinks and resting books, and a pretty armchair is thoughtfully placed by the doors, creating a cosy nook where you can curl up with a good book or just contemplate life as you soak up the countryside views. Finished in shades of pale grey, with pops of colour from cushions and the bedside rugs, this is a peaceful and calming retreat. Plenty of storage comes in the form of two large three-drawer bedside tables, a large ottoman at the foot of the bed and a four-drawer chest of drawers, topped with a pair of table lamps and a large mirror. Wall hooks with wooden hangers ensure there is somewhere to hang clothes too.

Ensuite:
The spacious ensuite has a large, frosted window to the front allowing in plenty of natural light, a step-in shower cubicle, double-ended bath, and a toilet, bidet and hand basin. There's also a large well-lit mirror and a shaver socket.

Bedroom Two:
This lovely room is another spacious bedroom with twin beds which can be made into a super-king on request. The large picture window, framed by floor-length curtains showcases the ever-present view. Night console tables, with reading lamps, stand on either side of the bed, and there's a wide three-drawer chest of drawers and wall hooks with wooden hangers for storage.

Bedroom Three:
With corner-aspect windows, the view from this room takes in the quintessentially English panorama of an old oak tree standing tall and statuesque in the centre of fields. The grey upholstered double bed faces the rear window, pale limed oak bedside tables stand on either side and there's a dark blue chest of drawers and wall hooks with hangers for storage.

Bedroom Four:
Last, but by no means least, the fourth bedroom is another double, this time with windows to the front and side. Wall hooks with hangers and a five-drawer chest offer plenty of storage whilst bedside tables with reading lamps are placed on either side of the bed.

Family Bathroom:
The spacious family bathroom features a bath with a shower over it, a toilet, a handbasin with a magnifying mirror and a light with a shaver socket above it. The frosted window ensures there is plenty of natural light.

Our stay at ridgeway was absolutely perfect, the lodge was clean, beautiful and there were some really nice special touches that made our wedding weekend exist that little bit nicer. We made use of the hot tub and bbq, and Alison was perfect at communicating what we needed to do. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and the coffee and walnut cake was to die for! Thankyou to all the staff at bootable retreats for our lovely stay.

We had a cracking time at Ridgeway as a family. The property was really nice with excellent views and facilities for adults and kids alike. The communication with the management was excellent as well, and a home made cake and wine waiting for us when we arrived was nice touch. The only downside was that the property has no gate to the drive at the front, meaning if you have a dog that likes "explore" you need to keep it on a lead as the garden wraps around to the front with no separation. Not sure if it's just in the process of being replaced but with a fast road and working farm outside meant we couldn't fully relax with the dog off the lead. Bit of a shame as it's an amazing garden space. All in all though a great place and great value for money.

My husband and I had a wonderful long bank holiday weekend for Easter at Ridgeway Farmhouse. We had our gorgeous granddaughter and our fur baby with us. The farmhouse is absolutely spectacular with the most wonderful views we’ve ever seen. The house had everything you need and we really enjoyed the cake and wine that was left for us on arrival. We would highly recommend this fantastic home and hope we can return again very soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ridgeway Farm is a large property with beautiful views. However the latter part of our holiday was spoilt by a large festival held on the Ragley Estate. We were not told about this on booking so were surprised when a stream of cars arrived down the side of the garden. Pollution and noise increased, our privacy was intruded on and the view was spoilt by tents, caravans and cars. Do your research before booking if you are looking for a peaceful holiday! Alison, the housekeeper was very responsive but we had far too many issues for a one week holiday. The blind fell down repeatedly in one of the bedrooms and we had to leave it closed because it couldn’t be fixed. One of the sinks was blocked on arrival - if this sink had been cleaned then I would have expected them to know about this before we arrived. There was also a strong chemical smell from the toilet downstairs. We were told this was the oil boiler. This is right next to the dining room so quite unpleasant. The main bedroom was very comfortable but the other beds were very soft mattresses and the other adult in our party found it uncomfortable. Ok for children. If you are looking for local walks from the door, this was difficult and there was no information provided on where you could walk. When we walked around the Ragley Estate we were told this wasn’t allowed but Alison was unsure where we could walk. The road at the front of the house is 50mph and doesn’t feel safe to walk on but there is a gate out the back to the Ragley Fields so it is very confusing where you can walk. Facilities within the house were great and it is well stocked with everything you could need. Unfortunately the internet went down just as we arrived and although they provided a back up it was very slow and unreliable for the duration of our stay. Looking up areas we could drive to for a local walk was very painful especially once the festival arrived and phone signal was rubbish too. In summary, we wouldn’t return to Ridgeway Farm but the area is beautiful and the views are as stunning as they look in the photos.

We found this house to have everything we needed for a fabulous weekend with friends. The attention to detail is fantastic and it seemed that every decision the owners have made has been well thought through. There were 8 adults and lots of space for us to enjoy a social weekend. The BBQ and outdoor facilities were great and the hot tub is an added bonus. The views from the property are absolutely stunning and 3 out of the 4 bedrooms have this view. The exterior of the building doesn't quite match with the fabulous interior and facilities and views at the back of the property. The service we received was outstanding, particularly when we had a query and an emailed response was very quick. Certainly recommend a stay at this property,

We wanted to enjoy the UK countryside for a few days, and this house is definitely in the countryside. The house met all of our needs and was well equipped. We loved the estate and sheep. It is a bit of a drive to the cotswolds (typically 45 min to each town). We enjoyed the hot tub and we’re allowed to walk the Ragley Estate. Fullers is an adorable market just around the corner.
