Very welcoming, staff were brilliant. Room was a good size, comfortable and very clean. I had dinner at the Crown of both evenings, a good choice of traditional pub food, and enjoyed both meals. I will definitely stat here again.
Only comment I can make is on site parking is limited but it was easy to find on street parking nearby.

Friendly staff and good size room for two adults and two dogs. The chef even went as far as to collect money from the customers for a charity walk I was doing that weekend !

Friendly and heloful staff. Nice location.
I was expecting food to be available - kitchen was closed. It was advertised as having a free breakfast - no breakfast available for sale or free. There was a smell, windows don't close, no hand towel provided. We were the only people on the premises overnight. Not enough cups provided. No car park. Lack of electric points, had to put the kettle on the floor to plug it in. Water in sink very slow to drain away.

Lovely country pub with rooms, in a sleepy village not far from Cheltenham.
Staff are friendly, and the pub is welcoming.
Rooms are pleasant, & the family room a nice size, however the doubles are small.
Beds are OK, and the bathroom clean, with a powerful shower, & basic toiletries.
In room water, tea & coffee as standard, however despite the pub serving food during the day, they do not serve breakfast. I feel, for the cost £85.00, whilst it is reasonable, I would expect a light continental breakfast being offered for this price.
Check is was only available from 4pm, which is quite late.
Breakfast is not offered from this pub with rooms, however, there is a cute cafe a couple of doors away where they serve excellent food. A nice touch would be to have a 10% discount offered by the pub for the cafe. Encouraging guests to eat in the cafe, and as a token for not serving breakfast.

Room ok, smelt a little musty, damp when in bed. Mould in the shower, but other than that ok, bed comfortable, duvet warm and cosy, shower was good.
Musty smell

Room was very cosy. The food was delicious. We were very pleased to find they had a Sri Lankan chef and we all chose different curry options.
They had live music playing in the bar which was great when we were in the bar but we went to our room earlier as we had to be leaving early the next day and the music was very loud in our room. They did stop at 11pm though.

The room was quiet and comfortable with enough space for the dog as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they were quite happy to place our dog food in the fridge overnight. The pizzas we had in the evening were excellent.
Connection to WiFi was initially more successful in the pub than up in the room.

The room was lovely, staff could not have been more helpful, food and range of beer/cider was very good. While the pub didn't serve breakfast this was reflected in the price and the coffee shop next door was also very good for breakfast.
We were a bit surprised there was no parking other than on the road outside but the staff were very reassuring that safety and security would not be an issue and we had no problems in the end.

The staff were really helpful and very friendly. The shower was the rooms redeeming feature. It was powerful and warmed up quickly.
The room was worn in places, wall paper peeling from the walls and the curtains were tatty. The bedding wasn't very clean and I found hair and black marks on the sheet that covers the mattress. The bed squeaked every time you moved. The room was really cold and I was unable to put the heating on.

Beautiful pub in a beautiful area, food and drinks available so didn't need to travel into town. Nice big bedroom with a large TV. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Black out curtains so slept like a baby. Also dog friendly which was a bonus.
No breakfast option, check in was very late.

The staff were very friendly! We didn't actually visit the pub but it was busy and popular, and the food smelt good!
The bed (mattress) was very uncomfortable! And the radiator was broken in the room, so there was a little freestanding gas heater, but I was worried about leaving it on when we weren't in the room, so when we got back later that night (having been to a wedding evening reception) the room was freezing and took a while to warm up. The shower was also very temperamental, very difficult to maintain a steady temperature which made washing hair quite tricky!

The room and bathroom was traditionally decorated and pretty. The room was very bright with lots of windows. It was also quiet considering it was above a busy pub.
The room was cold and we had to turn on the radiator ourselves and there was only one plug socket with a multi gang extension for additional power plugs but this wasn’t enough for mobile charging. We had to boil the kettle on the floor because of the location of the extension. We realise it is a very old building and probably unable to provide further power supply to the room.

We were moving home from Manchester to Cornwall and wanted a comfortable place to stay overnight to break up the drive after a long day packing boxes. The Crown was situated well just off the M5 in a quiet village location.
The Crown was a disgrace, and bore no relation to the Booking.com information. We arrived to be told that there was no chef on duty and so there would be no food available. No message had been sent in advance. We had been travelling following a house move. We were tired and just wanted a good meal and a shower followed by a sleep. No food meant we had to drive to another pub to eat after already driving a long way. While the staff member apologised, saying he had been called in at the last minute and had only just found out there had been a booking, it was clear that nobody had properly prepared the room. It was dingy, filthy and had damp on the walls by the bed. THe shower was dirty and we did not want to use it. The towel left for us was a hand towel. There were no bath towels. There were cobwebs and spiders on the light fittings and in the corners of the room. There was a dirty counterpane on the bed. There were even dog biscuits on the floor from a previous guest's dog. In the morning there was nobody there to see us. A continental breakfast had been left out for us but nobody was available in the pub. We had a coffee and left. This was a very poor experience and we couldn't wait to leave. We had no option but to stay despite the conditions because, with a dog travelling with us, it is hard to just show up to a hotel. We had had a long day and could not even shower. Awful!
