Volcano is a second home to me, I still have family on the island. Loved visiting them, and then coming home to this comfortable, pretty place in the middle of the rainforest. Volcanoes national Park is my favorite place in the world.

Absolutely love this property!! Very peaceful and relaxing, will be staying again.

Very nice and had all extra stuff one would need, clothes washing soap, coffee filters, etc. I would choose this place again in a heart beat.

We had some trouble getting into the property, other than that all was good. Nice heated blankets and cozy fire. Thanks for letting us stay at your place.

The property was best location to volcano national park. 10 minute drive and we could view Kilauea eruption. Although dated the property is very clean and host responsive to a couple small issues. Pilot light on heater needed lighting and battery change in one smoke detector (chirping incessantly our second night). Be aware this is located in rain forest so very humid and frequent rain/drizzle. Kitchen has basics but due to humidity spices need pounding to use. If you plan to cook, cookware is well-used and not non-stick. Cable tv has very limited channels. We chose to stream on a laptop and brought a Bluetooth speaker. Wi-Fi was good enough to handle multiple devices. Cell service was ok to talk or text. Would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this place. It is a perfect size and set up for two couples as you each have you own rooms and bathrooms, plus a full living space and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and cosy. Nice and close to the National Park.

This house is lovely and couldn’t be more conviently located for visiting the National Park. The kitchen is well organized and has everything needed to cook a full meal. We’re here with family but it would work for two couples as both bedrooms have their own bathrooms and doors that close to the living room, making each its own private suite. We would stay here again and recommend to our family and friends. The property manager was very helpful.

Loved the places well stocked with everything we needed!

First time visiting the Hilo side of the island and the location of our lodging was great. Explored the volcanoes and the surrounding areas in all directions. Very intriguing and educational. The lodging had everything. The only comment we have is that the tv didn’t work. It would have been nice to have later in the evenings. Not a big deal though. Thx.

We stayed in a comfortable little home on a gorgeous piece of property while visiting Volcano National Park. Both were beyond our expectations!

The living room, kitchen and bathrooms were very nice. The bedrooms were a bit funky. Great location right near the entrance to Volcanos park, which was a highlight of our trip. We were surprised to see that the east side of the island in general seemed rather depressed, maybe a result of the pandemic. A problem in the house was low water pressure and limited hot water. Maybe for that reason the dishwasher and the washing machine for clothes didn't work. The owner has a de-humidifier going, which helps with the general moisture, but still all wet items in the house stayed wet (these things not the owners' fault). Best if the third and fourth person in the group can sleep in the same bed because the additional sleep spaces were not that comfortable. Probably a very good place for a younger family.

We chose to stay in Volcano Village for its obvious ease of location to the Park. The rental was very quiet, spacious, well-stocked and had everything we needed. There are restaurants about a 6 minute drive away if you do not wish to cook. As stated, arrive with all your grocery needs as they cannot be met in Volcano.
A few notes: the water pressure was very low and warm water in short supply. Two couples returning after a day hiking in the park would be hard pressed to all shower. It was hard enough with only 2 of us.
The heat from the gas fireplace does not really reach the bathrooms and bedrooms even with the fans going. It can get chilly. That said, the mattress warmers in the beds were heaven on the usual chilly nights in Volcano. I slept like a baby.
The washer was not working which was not a bother to us so early in our vacation. It was good that the dryer worked as towels never quite dry in the cool humidity and a warm towel in a chilly bathroom after a tepid shower is a mood saver.
If the water situation can be improved, I would highly recommend this location for two couples traveling.

Dehumidifier is noisy. Better left off over night so you can hear rain drops on the metal roof. Nice quiet location. Pump can be heard running when bathroom water is turned on. It's ok though. Suggest you replace cheap plastic chairs on deck area with three or four more comfortable ones. Loved walking the neighborhood during warm misty rain one morning. Nice change from cold Colorado in February.

We stayed here for one night with my family of four and my parents. The house was the perfect location after a long day at Volcanoes National Park. Very good directions to reach the house, extremely clean and very cozy. It was a little chilly at night, but we were so tired from the day of hiking that it didn't stop us from getting a great night of sleep. Highly recommend this location!

The house was very nice and had everything we needed in the kitchen and baths. It was only a few minutes from Volcano National Park and about 30 minutes from Hilo. I would have given 5 stars but the washer and dryer were broken and had been broken for awhile and I wasn't notified of this. Had to go to Hilo for a laundrymat. There was one in Volcano but it was small and it seems the few machines were monopolized by local housekeepers.

Beautiful! Great location close to the volcano.
We are only staying at this property for one night, but I wish it could be longer. This home is beautiful inside and out. It seems to be new, and the online photos don't do it justice. We are visiting with our two children, and my 6-year old really enjoyed sleeping in the day bed under the window. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are large, and the kitchen is well appointed. It is very dark here at night, and to open the windows and listen to the tree frogs. We will be coming back some day for sure!

Property was new and comfortable.
Really enjoyed our stay, even tho it was only one night. The house was new and everything we needed was supplied. We would definately stay there again - hopefully longer next time.

Wonderful Brand New Vacation Home
This was probably the best unit I ever rented thru VRBO - brand new, nicely decorated, and everything you could possibly need. Kitchen was even well stocked with all sorts of staples like coffee, sugar, flour, spices, etc. While we did not need these items since we only stayed one night - it would have been nice for a longer stay. Contact with rental agent was a breeze. Highly recommend this rental - it was awesome and very reasonably priced.
