Its aesthetics are gorgeous.
They refused to serve us dinner as a result of our train being delayed and causing us to be late by 10 minutes. They also refused to serve us breakfast for no adequately explained reason. Rooms had no bathrooms either.

Very kind staff and manager ! great breakfast, we enjoyed the onsen, and don't hesitate to book a massage, shia'tsu ! best one
be careful, private onsen in pictures are bigger than they are

we really liked the dinner and breakfast. it’s a big place but feels still private. staff very kind. convenient shuttle service. it was a nice break from the busy cities.
we had a private room with onsen, .the room can accommodate 6 (we stayed 2 people) but in the onsen only 1 can bathe at the time, looks bigger in the pictures but it’s actually very small (smaller than a bathtub)

traditional full service inn (they'll make beds for you daily meaning bringing the futon in and out daily as you are at dinner). Dinners and breakfasts are fabulous, delicious, sumptuous, and bountiful. Love the entire traditional yukata wearing, private onsen in the patio, communal onsen was also available. The facility is very clean, however, a bit dated.
limited shuttle time schedule. If you commit to staying in the inn for 1-2 days or maybe check out the area very close by without the need to check out Kyoto center as first timers, that's fine. However, if you're staying for like 4-5 days, the commute can be very time consuming though it's very scenic and beautiful ride!

Breakfast was incredible, staff was very willing to go out of their way to provide us with extra assistance. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing building and setting, blend of traditional with all modern comforts. fascinating place to explore, we had a great stay. loved the private outdoor bath, so relaxing. Dinner and breakfast both delicious and a worthwhile experience for tourists in Japan. Staff friendly 😊

clean and the food was god
Thu don’t reply your message or email. I was first time there so the shuttle pick up from the station was a bit confusing

There is a shuttle bus to pick up from Kameoka Station. Staff is nice. Hotel offers half board which kaiseki cuisine is served. A great experience to relax with hot spring bath and enjoy the traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine.
It's cold: The corridor leading to the public bath was cold. The elevator was cold. It's cold everywhere.

the best ryokan experience and more. we booked a room with private bath and full board. the room was huge with a massage chair, 2 big screen tv, separate room for toilet and shower and even a closet. all the amenities were amazing, they even have facial cleanser, toner and moisturiser. there’s even yukata for you to wear. there’s also a nespresso machine. the private onset was bliss, big enough to fit 2 and next to it is a beautifully made Japanese garden. we had a beautiful romantic getaway. and don’t worry about it being far, there’s a shuttle bus service you can request with the ryokan.

The private outdoor bath is a highlight
Hotel decorations & layout
I booked 2 rooms. One is Japanese style with private outdoor bath for 3 people. This room is quite outdated, smell. What makes it odds with 2 toilets. One toilet is fully equipped for disabled. My 3 adults girls got so scared while staying that room

The services was excellent and the hot spring environment is really nice
It is quite difficult to find out how does it looks about the open air bath in the room online before booking which is quit unexpected when we arrived and the shower facility must upgrade, it is really disappointed there is tape in the shower
