No lifts which is a disadvantage when you are travelling with small children and using a baby carriage. The breakfast offer was not very good.

Beds and restaurant.
We stayed here and it's safe to say the experience fell far short of our expectations. Despite paying a premium price, the hotel didn't meet our expectations we had based on previous reviews. The hotel is showing its age, with a noticeable lack of maintenance and only a few staff members were friendly. Charging extra for basic amenities like the indoor and outdoor pool was completely unacceptable given the already high price. No airconditioning in the rooms and no elevators. The only positive aspects of our stay were the comfortable beds and the delicious à la carte dinner (not included). Breakfast was ok, though.

Friendly staff.
Restaurant looked like from the 90s.

Wellness was really good. Other than that not many positive things.
The worst food I have ever tried in any restaurant.

Outdoor pool is perfect if you have child, perfect view to the lake, you can take for a walk by the lake
Rooms are small, I would say very outdated

The hotel has a wonderful location, with a nice view to the lake. The rooms are simple, but clean, a correct 3*. The breakfast it's good and the SPA it's just great. It has a small pool and a jacuzzi, plus 2 saunas: a wet sauna and a dry sauna. It has also a free parking. The staff it's very helpful and welcoming and the bonus of the stay was the room with a view to the lake. Great price-quality ratio.
The mattresses and pillows are not bad, but it could be even better. In rest, everything was very good.

We liked leaving this hotel to look for a place to charge the car. Impossible at this place, and the staff wouldn't even provide us with an extension cable fo our EV.
The owner didn't understand the concept of providing even a regular wall plug outside to charge an EV, nor did he seem to care about my complaint that there is no possibility to charge an EV at his hotel. Seems like he is stuck in the past and resistant to helping people with EVs charge their car. I wouldn't come back here and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
Furthermore, the "spa" facilities are NOT included in the high price and after checking them out, we decided that we wouldn't even use them for free. Find another place in the area which will give you better value.

The view of the lake was nice. Even though there was no fruit for breakfast, at least they had a rather good cheesecake and they had rather good omelets.
The rooms were extremely small and did not have any writing table, chair or armchair. The bathroom was like a sauna and even the bedroom was much too hot even after turning down the heating as far as we could. There were only Czech TV stations, parts of the building smelled moldy and there was no fruit for breakfast. None of this should matter because we chose it for the pool. However, they refused to let us use the pool on Friday evening or Saturday morning claiming it was reserved. I have heard of people on the streets scamming people or internet scams, but I did not know that hotels can scam people like this.

Staff was helpfull, breakfast was very nice and tasty, restaurant food was delicious, room had lovely view. Hotel was clean, wifi was free and good, parking was in front of the hotel, dog friendly, overall it was very pleasant stay.
Shower head was bit old and leaky and it would be little bit more comfortable, if the double bed was one piece, not two beds with a gap in between.

Good location, helpful staff, very good breakfast and comfortable parking place.
Air-conditioning was not working.

Beautiful view, the hotel is right next to the dam. Beds were extremely comfortable, we had troubles to get up and leave them. I enjoyed the breakfast, there was literally everything - cereals, yoghurt, eggs, sausages, bacon.. We were also shocked by prices at the restaurant, the meals didn't cost much and one serving would feed little village. Also bowling and welness was fun. If we ever visit South moravian region again, we will choose this place to stay at.
The restaurant was closing at 10pm.

nice views, pool and uber to the brno centrum is only 9 euros

A very nice area for a stay and rest a bit. In a close vicinity of hotel there is nice park around the lake, restaurants, etc. Hotel has a private parking, has very good WiFi and serves a very good breakfast with a variety of choices. Rooms are OK (hotel standard) and personnel is friendly.
Not sure if this was specific to our room, but ventilation did not work: the bathroom was like sauna and the room was hot despite opened window. Also the room was relatively small - e.g. I hit the bed couple of times because of limited space .

Hotel Rakovec is a really good choice for one night if you're travelling across Europe by car. Location is great - there is a lake with a park nearby, so you can stretch your legs and grab a drink or some food. Beds were very comfy, staff was helpful and breakfast was really generous and tasty.
