About this apartment rental
Clarendon Rd. in Belmont is a wonderful space for travelers interested in a 1 to 3 month-long rental. During June, July, August and the first week in September of 2023, you would have the entire place to yourself.
It is a 6-room space on the first floor of a 2-family house built in the 1920's. The house is located near the Cambridge and Watertown lines in the Harvard Lawn area of Belmont, which is considered the most desirable 2-family neighborhood in town.
We are a 4-minute walk from the MBTA #73 bus line. The bus ride takes 10 minutes to get to Harvard Square in Cambridge, and then it’s a 15 minute subway ride into Boston. Or you can park up to two cars in the driveway and drive into Cambridge and downtown Boston within 10-15 minutes.
The space is tastefully furnished and decorated with lots of wood furniture and African art. It has hardwood floors, a beamed living room ceiling, separate dining room, an updated kitchen, a den with fireplace, back porch for sitting, and a fitness room.
The house is on a quiet, tree-lined street with many friendly neighbors. It’s 2-3 blocks from two local parks, one which has newly-renovated tennis courts. It’s a 10 minute walk from the Fresh Pond Reservoir (great for walking around!) and a public golf course. There's also plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and shopping within a 5-10 minute walk.
Provided are two bedrooms. The master BR has a king size bed, large wardrobe, two side tables, a chair, a 50-inch smart TV with cable and a closet. The second BR has two single beds, bureau, desk, side table, lounge chair and walk-in closet.
The bathroom has a tub/shower, sink and a bidet-toilet.
The kitchen has a table which seats three, large refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. It is equipped with everything you will need for cooking!
The living room has seating for five with a 3-seat couch and two chairs, a and a 55-inch smart TV with cable, stereo cabinet, and Carrom table game.
The dining room is filled with antique furniture -- a table which sits four, a wine cabinet and a large side table.
The den has a fireplace, 2-seat couch, and a large desk.
The back porch has a table with seating for four, two additional chairs, and a barbecue. It overlooks a fenced yard with pretty shrubs.
In the basement is a fitness room with a StairMaster, stationary bike, multi-weight station, free weights, bench, arm curling station and a 36-inch smart TV with cable.
There is also a washer and dryer in the basement.
You will find my home attractive, clean, functional, and well-kept up. I hope to have you stay here!

We had our own transportation and this property worked out great. Quick and clear communication with the owner throughout. House was clean and in a quiet neighborhood

Just as advertised! Mont is a great host who communicated clearly before my arrival regarding arrival coordination. Clean condo with everything I needed. A true quiet neighborhood with great access for running and biking around Fresh Pond. Would definitely stay again if traveling on business or with family.

The home is well maintained with adequate space and easy access. The parking was simple. The bedroom was comfortable and very quiet. The bathroom was clean with a great shower. Mont was friendly and accommodating--also very kind to my daughter and our pet. I would highly recommend staying here while in Boston. It is convenient and safe and comfortable. One comment when you drive there....be sure you put BELMONT, MA into the GPS and NOT Boston< MA as there is a Clarendon Street in downtown Boston and you might go to the wrong place like I did. This was NOT the owner's fault but rather mine.

From the comfortable bed to the morning coffee my stay was like being in a home away from home.

Charming location, clean facilities, and a hospitable host. Easy access to Cambridge and Downtown Boston via the 73 bus line. Takes about a 5 min walk to the stop and about a 12 min ride into Harvard Square. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay with Mont in Belmont. He was a great host providing us with sights to see as well as engaging conversations.
The home is very nice with beautiful woodwork and great art. The king size bed was quite comfortable and much appreciated after long days of walking in Boston. A short walk to the bus made our travel easy as well.

My son and I stayed at Mont's flat during Head of Charles regatta weekend. Only 5 minutes to river! Extremely quiet and safe neighborhood. House is beautiful and Mont makes you feel right at home. Pictures are exactly as the property looks. You can use kitchen and den if you choose. We walked 3 blocks to excellent neighborhood restaurants for dinners (inexpensive for Boston). Park in driveway.
HIGHLY recommend!!!

A repeat customer now for year #2. Save my room for next year, we are sure to be back. The convenience to Cambridge and the river were just perfect for us.

I made last second plans to visit Boston for 6 nights, and it was recommended to me to find a place along the route of the 73 bus in Belmont since it would combine a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to everything I'd want to visit in Boston. Mont's place did not disappoint, with the nearest bus station being 5 minutes away, and a 45 minute bus + subway ride to anything and everything downtown.
His house exudes a warmth and coziness from the first moment you're in it. It's beautifully decorated, and the wood and color tones all around the house make you feel comfortable and at ease. Mont himself is an very friendly and helpful host, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, and following up quickly with any issues. The house was in impeccable state cleanliness wise. Wi-fi access was good enough for me to enjoy some Netflix during downtime, so another plus there.
I stayed in the bedroom with the single bed, which also features a desk if you need a work area. The bed was comfortable, and didn't feel cramped at all. There's plenty of light coming in during the day, but you have privacy.
There's a shared bathroom which he makes a point of using as little as possible and leaving it for the guests to use, and I never had to wait. Shower's water pressure is a plus too.
Mont's 2 cats also live there: they're extremely friendly, and follow instructions well.
The neighborhood was very pretty and quiet, and felt safe. That and the very easy access to public transportation as well as the number of shops and eateries within walking distance made for a very nice choice.
Mont provided me with a 12-page document listing house rules as well as explaining where everything is and how to use any and all appliances around the house. You can brew your own coffee, cook, even wash and dry your clothes with everything provided, so that was nice. The length of the document might seem intimidating at first but I appreciated the robustness, it's supposed to cover everything you need even during times of the year when he's not at home, and has other useful tips such as where to rent a bike from since Boston really offers itself to people that like to ride with bike lanes and signs on how to get to parts of the city using them.
All in all, I was very happy with my stay, and I'd consider staying here again if I find myself in town. Mont is a pleasure to have as a host, and his house provided for me very well while I was there.
