Difficult to describe our 3 night stay in !Xaus other that it was a true life experience. The atmosphere was spiritual and emotional, the view across the salt pan was a wonder to behold. The magic of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier park is palpable in this magic part of South Africa. The knowledgeable staff (Koos and Donovan) added significant bushman depth to our experience.
Not staying more nights. There was nothing to complain about at !Xaus, it was excellent and surpassed expectations.

Wonderful location
Meeting at picnic site - could have driven without guide.

Excellent experience all round. Great service, guiding, room and food. Hopefully the pool will be rebuilt soon. Important destination to support local communities.

The beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings, the wonderful hosts Anthony and Susie, the exceptional staff, the brilliant guide Castro, and the comfortable lodge despite it being in the middle of nowhere.
We had no complaints, it was all wonderful.

iXaus was really surprisingly a very special place!
Warmth of staff, delicious meals, the reason this place exists, resonates strongly. Stayed 2 nights. Planned as a "once-off" visit - but i am sure we will find a reason to return one day to feel the magic again! Sundowners drive was beautiful with drinks and snacks provided!
I think the lodge is overdue for some freshening up, but I'm sure that is on the cards. It will take time for this industry to recover from the losses due to Covid.

Very beautiful Lodge in the desert. Perfect service and very friendly staff, we had a great time there. The price includes many different Game-Drives and activities, it’s really worth the price.

Breakfast great but perhaps more fruit and healthy food should be offered. The tours and guides were excellent. Also enjoyed the history of the area and the accommodation
The weather, but did warm up on the second day

The staff and management were a joy to talk and stay with. The meals were simply great. Don't miss the omelet breakfast. I believe our morning wall was my favorite.
It would have been nice to have a final morning walk on the day we left.

The location of course... couldn't be more remote and disconnected from the outside world.
Beautiful nature. Hendrik was a great guide.
The location is unique of course, but I never overspend more money than on this lodge. Sorry to say so...
The chalets need an update. It was cold and although I saw terrace heaters, they were not used. The "Craftmanship village was a joke. Game drives limited to 1 hour nightdrive and 2 hours sunset drive (hardly any animal spotted, but this is not the fault of the lodge of course)
If this was half the price I paid, I would give it a 9 though...

The location, the views, the staff, the food, the guides. All out of the top drawer.
Nothing. It was just wonderful.

If you love the open spaces, with total peace and quiet, !Xaus is the place to be heading for.
In a World of its own, the Lodge still has the creature comforts of a 5* establishment.
