Good breakfast. Not just pancakes and bread with cereal. Guard gate that watches cars coming in and out. Very safe.

BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!! Hotel was not what the photos looked like. They charged me a DOUBLE INCIDENTAL FEE OF $125 TWICE on my credit card even though my room was prepaid. QUESTIONABLE guests stayed there during my time. Seemed almost like a Half Way House or Temporary Living Space for Transient people.
Only Upside was 8 minutes from Oakland Airport and Free breakfast was good.

Nice motel and great rooms. Very clean and well stocked. Area is okay, next to coliseum and food and gas close by. Gate is closed at night with security so that is comforting. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Only complaint is that the staff was extremely rude and unpleasant. Disrespectful. Not sure if we'll return here due to the staff.

The motel was very clean as well as the rooms. Super comfy bed and rooms are large. Good breakfast. Only complaint is the staff. They were very rude and unpleasant.

Very bad experience, it was a whole process of fear, first the room and the entire floor smelled of drugs. Going with children is not the smell you want and more the risk of living with drugged people, the next day we were there we had to see a girl who was reporting that a naked man entered her room and tried to rape her, my daughters heard that and slept in panic, I have stayed in your hotels before with good experiences, nothing like this, after the incident I already saw security at the entrance, before there was no one, anyone could come and go, the only good thing is the lady who serves breakfast, she is a nice, attentive and pleasant person.

Where to start.. when we were driving down the road to the hotel there were homeless tents/vehicles lined up along the side of the road and everything went down from there. We were met with unfriendly front desk reps from the beginning. Check in started at 3 but our rooms were still not ready by 4. None of the floor boards were installed in the hallways nor in our two rooms that we rented. It was clear to us that they were planning on shutting down the hotel once the A’s officially left.

The photos for the property are very misleading and inaccurate. The hotel looked nothing like it was advertised.Very seedy neighborhood with multiple police presence around the hotel and shady activity that made me feel unsafe for myself and my child. I ended up not staying and checked out as soon as I could. I willl not go back there again.

They are great!

The hotel's policy is all no show appointments are cancelled after 3 AM. They never communicated that policy to me. My flight was delayed and they would not give me a room. A representative from Hotels.com called the front desk and they still would not give me a room. They claim the desk was closed from 3 AM to 3 PM. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BS LIKE THIS.

Thanks for allowing my husband to pass with family. We appreciate you living long. Please allow me to return.

Stayed for two nights, the surrounding area is definitely a concern. Littered by trash and surrounding RVs with homeless people, while there’s a nearby bus stop that services to BART which connects to the rest of the Bay Area, I wouldn’t recommend walking outside the hotel and especially at night. There’s security at the hotel with a gate, which is assuring with how bad it is around the area.
Check-in was good, hallways leading into the room definitely have a musty, locker room-like smell and stained floors. Room, however, was decent and extremely clean. Comfortable and didn’t experience any weird smells, and the bed itself was clean as well. Walls weren’t thinned out where I could hear anything obnoxious, either. Bathroom was filled with decent amenities, and also well cleaned.
Breakfast was serviceable, nothing too special but gets the job done. Would stay here again being that it was significantly cheaper than the other hotels nearby, just bear in mind taking an Uber/Lyft to BART, or from/to the airport. The area is definitely a concern now and going forward.

Besides the fact that this hotel is in a sketchy area, and it’s falling apart, they kept my security deposit when I left the room in immaculate shape.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL
3.3
Stay was great clean room nice and quiet
3.3
The staff is always so friendly. I’ve stayed here multiple times, there might be some cosmetic issues, but the rooms are comfy and the staff - again, so great!!! I’ll say it again, they have amazing staff.
3.3
The hotel has a better past, around many people living on the street! Sad because it was a nice area before!

We were disappointed when we called for the complimentary airport shuttle only to find out it was unavailable, even though we were emailed about it. The staff said it was on the website, but the email from them should also be changed. We paid for an Uber to get there. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy, but staff wasn't especially friendly. Room was spacious and clean. The bed was harder than my preference. There was one elevator that is quite shaky. Breakfast was ok, but could've been better with condiments for the eggs. Grateful for the free water and coffee offered all day. Upon seeing the sketchy areas around the hotel (which they cannot control), we decided to get uber rides and food delivery instead of walking around. Rides to and from Oakland Arena and the airport are close and quite fast since the location is convenient.

Th hotel itself is ok enough to stay a night or two. Wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay. There’s a homeless camp literally right in front of the hotel so walking around the area is sketchy. There’s not a lot of good food options in the immediate area. Their hotel shuttle is out of service. I don’t know if it’s because it’s actually not working or if they are just too lazy to transport guests to the airport. The hotel is a little outdated too and their keycards suck. They barely work and always get demagnetized. I don’t think I would ever stay there again
3.3
Quick check-in process a day early online. They already had my info when I arrived at the frint desk. I received my room ket and parking permit in just a few minutes. Friendly and helpful service. The neighborhood outside; surrounding the hotel is blight. The City of Oakland has really let things go to the detriment of the area around the hotel.
3.3
Tv had problems and had s crying baby next door in
3.3
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was ok but the room did have a faint “locker room” smell, the remote control for the TV didn’t work very well and the controls on the AC were worn off to the point where they were unreadable. The area around the hotel gave an impression of being unsafe. I didn’t feel like walking outside of the hotel fenced area was safe. I understand this is outside of the hotel’s control. I did appreciate having the hotel area fenced off with a closed gate during early morning hours.
3.3
Hotel is very good however Main Street is terrible, a lot of high and homeless people, I felt unsafe and I felt comfortable to go walking to the Arena Stadium. Dangerous neighborhood.
3.3
Too many homeless and homeless campsite surrounding the building. Surrounding area is dirty and stinky. Sketchy area and location. Had it not been for these, the hotel would be good.
3.3
Literally would give a zero if I could, the front is full of homeless. And there’s an opening in the gate where they can just come in to the parking lot, service was rude. The hallways stank so bad I kind you not. We were there for 2 nights and didn’t get no type of room service and we didn’t even have a don’t disturb sign.
3.3
Too many homeless people very very dirty trash everywhere/ rat elevator not working been handicap go to the 3 rd floor was very hard had no choice but to stay l could get a refund
3.3
Didn’t stop as lift was broken
3.3
Air Conditioning didn’t work whole night. No one couldn’t sleep.
3.3
Inside : Smell and thin wall makes noise than wakes me up lot of times from baby’s crying from right next room. Seems like someone is living in the hotel as residents. Breakfast room was tiny and not following order especially in waffle machine.
Outside : Homeless people and their place like shelter. Very dangerous and far from 10 min driving from grocery store.
3.3
the room had a very small window and the bed was dirty. Room Service was not done and it was never communicated that for theat we had to call the front desk a day in advanced.
Breakfast had limited option and all the options were poor quality.
All in All a terrible stay and wouldn't ever come or recommend this to anyone.
3.3
One-night stay to catch international flight the next day. Terrible location. They no longer offered shuttle service to the airport as described on the amenities. No food options near hotel. Hotel rundown. Rooms were fairly clean.
3.3
The property was very run down and dirty.
3.3
First of all, I was on the third floor. The elevator didn’t work and had a bad knee.
3.3
The parking lot as you entered on property was lined with transient and homeless people. Not clean and safe. I did I not stay the 2 days. I left after one day. Will not book at this hotel again or recommend
3.3
I was locked out for 3 hours. The keys to the room didn't work.
There was some odd smell in the bed.
The promised, though complementary was not available. Overall its not a good experience.
3.3
Good hotel for the price paid for one night stay after landing at SFO. Could have been little more cleaner. The room was nice but could have been little more roomier. The bathroom and amenities were pretty good, Breakfast was good with nice options however space was limited for no of people staying there.

I strongly believe La Quinta is a solid brand and should not be blamed for the squalor in Oakland. Raiders, Warriors, and an In-N-Out are not in Oakland for a reason. The A’s are leaving Oakland too. La Quinta can only do so much with the squalor that has defined Oakland. So please have realistic expectations when staying at this La Quinta. Here are the details of my stay… I did not get assaulted, robbed, or vandalized. This is huge because I walked to and from the Oakland Coliseum twice. My parked car in the parking lot was unharmed and left in one piece. The drains were not clogged and draining without any problems. The refrigerator was working, but the door did not shut easily. The air conditioner was working well, but loud. There was a microwave and a coffee maker, but I used neither. The carpet was filthy and needs to be replaced, but I managed by leaving the towels on the floor. The restroom ventilation is not the greatest because there was no noticeable fan. The room key is tricky for now, but the trick is that you rapidly and repeatedly insert the room key until you see the green light. The pictures shown depicting the hotel created false expectations, but exceeded expectations set by the negative reviews. Not bad for a hotel in Oakland and I would stay here again if I come to another baseball game or event.
3.3
The property is great, came in to town for an Athletics game. Service was a little slow at check in but with lots of people coming in to town that couldn’t be helped. The staff is friendly, the area outside the fence is less than desired due to the homeless encampments but that’s not the property’s problem. Also be aware for those using Uber, Lyft or walking everything around the hotel property locks their doors early. Tried to go to the gas station to get a drink at they were locked to walk in traffic.
Breakfast at the property is no frills, but it gets the job done. Got my fill and check out is quick and easy. Walking to the coliseum is about a mile, so it’s a great choice for budget savvy single travelers attending events at the coliseum or arena.
3.3
The hotel itself was adequate. The room was quiet and comfortable. No batteries in the carbon monoxide detector and the elevator needs to be inspected. The area just outside of the hotel is in dire need of improvement. We didn’t feel unsafe though. There were a lot of other Dodger fans around before and after the game.
Continental breakfast could last a little bit longer. We came down at 9:30 and they had already cleaned up. Very friendly staff.
3.3
Its a really nice place to stay, although it is showing its age.
3.3
Personnel was good but too many homeless outside the property.
3.3
I know it is cheap, but DONT DO IT. We flew in for a show and were just spending a long weekend. I figured it would be somewhere to sleep and it would be fine. The homeless encampment is literally right outside the fence. The rooms are dirty and outdated. Not well taken care of furniture is all messed up. The carpet was dirty and when housekeeping came in they did not clean it. Breakfast was crowded and you ended up waiting 30 mins to make a waffle. I got itchy bites on my legs, could only assume it was bed bugs as I looked and didn’t see anything, but definitely stay at your own risk…
