Perfect hotel for both Business as well as Leisure travel. Close proximity to train and all attractions.

We had a wonderful stay there for 3 nights. The staff was beyond accommodating and the location was perfect

Despite the Hotels.com app having been set to search for 2 person stays, we were greeted with "we only expected one" and you must pay an additional 25euro. This was not a pleasant experience and the hotel said it was not the first time folks using the Hotels.com app had this issue. Nice Hotel. Crappy app.

The staff were great, the room was comfortable and clean. Free mini bar with soft drinks was good. Not all toiletries were replenished every day. The lack of a shower was not great.

My wife & I stayed for 5 nights in an Executive room on the 4th floor. Even though it immediately overlooked the Piazza and the railway station in the background, there was no noise from outside. We did, however, hear some intermittent noise from the B-Roof restaurant directly above us till about 11pm, but we were so tired at the end of full-on day's sightseeing that it wasn't a problem. The double bed was comfy, the room well made up each day and mini-bar restocked daily free of charge (contains non-alcoholic drinks only). Shower was great. The views from the B-Roof (where we had breakfast each morning and on our last evening, dinner) were good, particularly of the Duomo. It was very pleasant sitting outside there for a pre- or post-dinner drink. In fact, the B-Roof was the main factor in choosing this hotel and it did not disappoint. Breakfast was okay, hot & cold on offer. Any hot food more adventurous than bacon, scramble egg, and sausage was extra. We did take advantage of the free bubbly at breakfast on the morning of our wedding anniversary, which was a good way to start the day. The hotel is extremely handy for the railway station and an easy 5 min walk to the Duomo area.

First impressions were terrible. We were barred from the roof top restaurant for dinner, even though we were guests, because we didn't have a reservation.
I tried to book for the next night and was denied, because it was already full.
Our room, 236, was very bad. Old-fashioned, with uncomfortable furniture, peeling walls, moldy bathroom ceiling, and the worst: air conditioning that didn't work.
We slept very poorly the first night.
But the next day, the receptionist Sofia, very efficiently, managed to change the whole situation. She apologized, changed rooms, providing a much better room free of charge, as an apology. Managed to book dinner at the restaurant. After that, our impressions changed completely, and we had an excellent stay, being satisfied with having chosen this hotel.

We had a pleasant stay in the Baglioni. It is well-located for the train station, getting to the airport and walking around the city centre. The breakfast room and rooftop bar have an incredible view of Florence. Everything was clean and comfortable and there were some nice extra touches, including a tour guide assistance device which was really helpful.

Good location but need better pillows

I did not sleep AT ALL for the 3 nights we stayed at this property. The beds were extremely firm, when you sat on the bed, there was no bounce (just to give you an idea). I would have been better off sleep on the damn floor. My body was very sore when I got out of bed each morning. The pillows were no better, very flat and uncomfortable. This was the worst leg of our trip due to the lack of sleep I had…
Also, it states on their Expedia page there is a laundry facility. This is false, they offer laundry service for a ridiculous amount. However, there is a laundry mat a 2 minute walk away.
The lowest you can put the AC is 18• & there’s no way our room was that temperature, It was so hot in the room. For the price, I’d strongly suggest staying somewhere else.
The page also states that the rooms are soundproof, this is also false. I put my child to sleep one night, and a group of loud drunk women passed our room waking my daughter at 11pm.
The few pros were friendly staff and a daily restocked mini bar (mostly drinks, a pack of peanuts & 1 small cookie)…. That’s pretty much it

Stay was comfortable. It’s right next to train station and that was a big plus for us, convenient with luggage. The room floor creaks a bit but the hotel is old and historic so it makes sense. However it’s renovated and we dint face any problem. Breakfast was basic but rooftop views were beautiful.

My husband and I were extremely impressed by this hotel! Great location for the train, reasonable price and the room amenities were immaculate. Lower lever floor was a little loud by the road but otherwise no complaints!!

Front staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. Always a smile and acknowledged your presence with a hello/good evening. Cleaning staff was ver thorough. We had some lights go out and it was taken care of in a blink of an eye. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast had a wide variety and was plentiful. Would return without hesitation.

Beautiful old hotel with location across the street from train station. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Larger rooms than many hotels in Europe.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the service was horrible. They told us our room would be ready in 3 hours, and then tried giving us a worse room for the price we paid. They then pushed the wait to 5 hours and never told us when the room was ready until we asked them. They tried showing understanding by giving a wine bottle but it never came. Overall, the stay was fine except the service.

A very nice hotel that is close to the main part of Florence. A bit on the expensive side, but very nice and it includes breakfast at a restaurant on the 5th floor that provides a beautiful view of the city. It is very close to the Basilica and the Cathedral and also some good restaurants.

The hotel was very conveniently located right near the train station which was an easy walk with luggage. The hotel is dated as others pointed out. The beds were extremely firm and the WiFi was a not dependable. However, with that said, everything else was great and we had a comfortable stay.

I had stayed at Baglioni many years ago and had loved it so wanted to go back this time. I was pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast buffet and location is awesome. However, I was shocked to see the poor condition of the rooms. Floors were super squeaky, walls were dirty, beds were not the most comfortable. I was told on the last day that one floor has been renovated and I was disappointed that I was not told about the fact that I was getting an older room.

sofia greeted us at check in and upgraded our room. it was beautiful but didn't have a double bed (there were 2 single beds pushed close to each other. i asked her if there was anything she could do and she moved us to another room with a double bed. better but it was noisy being on the first floor and the bed was terribly hard. she moved us AGAIN to yet another room. third time's a charm as this room was quiet, spacious and grand! thank you sophia for going way above and beyond to make us happy!!!
