The guest wing was dirty , the parking lot was not convenient for guests when an event is going on. We were given a Queen suite outside the mansion and paid for a King suite in the mansion . We were so far away from complimentary services, that it was waste to stay there. The evening staff was rude, after I waited 25 min at the desk for someone to show up. In the morning we checked out and I was charged an additional fee; different from the Hotels.com site said . Never using this hotel app or that hotel.

We arrived on a busy Friday night and given very little direction on how to get to our room after a service elevator visit which made it very comical. Finally get to our room and the room is gorgeous from top to bottom. Love it. The only problem was this major musty smell. Not sure where it was coming from- it was raining and I am sure the AC had been on all season. But when we got home, absolutely everything needed to be washed as it smelled so musty. I loved everything about it but after paying a significant amount, I would want clean air and not to go home and need to wash everything I brought.

We enjoyed the diversity and politeness of international staff.

We recently stayed at the Ocean Edge Hotel and Resort in Brewster, MA. Our overall experience was okay. The hotel itself was comfortable and met our expectations. However, we did encounter some issues with the staff.
One specific incident involved a pool attendant who hassled us for our passes while we were simply passing through, which felt unnecessary and intrusive. Additionally, we had an unpleasant experience with two bartenders at the pub who were notably rude.
While not all staff members were problematic, these interactions certainly affected our stay. Despite the comfort of the hotel, the negative encounters with certain staff members were disappointing.

Staff was great. Food was great.
Long walk to beach. Not on ocean's edge by far.
Low tide all day.
Trapped in room. Door wouldn't open! Engineer had to rescue us.
Does not deserve its reputation.

The beach could be made a little bit more clean. The water is not conducive for swimming.

Beautiful historical property, the restaurant was friendly and accommodating.

The setting is very pretty. Beautiful landscape!
Rooms are clean & spacious. The upstairs out door bar & restaurant is casual & relaxed. It is also nice to look out over the property from up above. I will also mention breakfast there was delicious.
The beach bar is perfect to sit, grab a Cocktail & a bite. Nice beach ( it is the bay).
The young men & women who bring your beach chairs, towels & umbrellas to the beach are extremely hard working, as is the rest of the hotel
staff. This hotel employs a very large staff. All the employees here go above & beyond to help make your stay perfect! Everyone is extremely polite, & friendly. This was so refreshing to see.
Yes, we will return…. & as my husband tells me, I’m hard to please! lol

Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly across the board. They were professional, highly efficient and so welcoming. Alex at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful, friendly and made us feel like special guests. The housekeeping staff was top notch, so kind and professional. One of the best resorts around without doubt.

Room wasn’t clean. Check in took about 30 minutes and we were the only ones checking in. Fire alarm went off at 5am- just didn’t have a personally good experience at this resort.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and attractive. The amenities such as the pool were excellent.

Beautiful room. Great food at pub.

Old building; no staff service to assist with luggage, etc. Room was a vey long way away from registration, going up and down stairs, ramps, footbridge, all while carrying luggage. Room was just ok. No room service. Very unclear where to go for breakfast which was not included. Extra $35 “resort fee” which was basically a completely unnecessary expense. Will never stay here again.

The grounds are beautiful. Enjoyed the walk on the boardwalk to the beach. Nice beach to walk on. There is a beach bar which was great to have a drink and enjoy the view. Loved the villa we stayed in. Only wished the fire place was a working fireplace. We had complimentary snacks in drinks in our villa which was a nice surprise.

Excellent Staff in all departments.

Mildew and mold smell in rooms in the mansions are not great for people with allergies to mold, suffered all wkd. Air conditioner goes on and off in rooms and is very loud, like a plane was taking off, and we didn’t sleep all wkd. If you don’t want noise above you I also don’t recommend the first floor, lots of running around at all hours of night and early morning hours. Not worth the price we paid at all.

Excellent vacation.

Beautiful property and very professional and helpful staff. The food was sometimes less than expected.

Hotel room was well appointed and comfortable but very humid and smelled of mildew. It was tolerable but should be much better for the reputation that precedes this resort.

-Nice spot with great beach access and activities. Food was great. Some staff excellent (dinner waiter Hunt) some just ok (concierge seemed not to know much).
-Main restaurant great, incredible views and food.
-Rooms are well appointed but a bit tired and dark on the lower level.
-Golf course restaurant had good food but service and management was horrendous. Would not let us sit outside because tables were reserved... then not one table outside was seated in the whole time we were there. Avoid this restaurant, not great value.

Great location, beach and waitstaff were great.

Way overpriced for what you get! Spent more money than anyone should for a 2 night stay. Did I mention that they also charge a daily “resort fee”
For you to use their pool and beach? Are you kindling me ? Isn’t that what we overpay for in the first place is the amenities? I can not Recommend this hotel to anyone, kids were bored by day 2, food was average at best. The first day on the beach we waited OVER 2 hours for our food. The rooftop food was ehhh.. no paper towels or napkins in the hotel. I could go on but the $5k price tag for two days says enough. At that price Everything should be included. Very very disappointed don’t waste your money.

Fantastic all around. Staff is amazing. Most are summer workers from Europe, but super polite and professional. Flawless.

Second stay here. Nice dining area outside on the patio to have drinks or food. Also the private beach area was lovely with chairs and umbrellas set up for you by beach staff. Did not use the pool or spa. All staff were very friendly and pleasant. Expensive but worth the splurge.

Great place lots of amenities

Bathroom exhaust fan screen was almost occluded with dust, had to fix toilet float valve, clock radio set on January, fish and chips had a cake dough and was tasteless, as were the buttermilk pancakes. Way over priced.
