The staff was awesome. We got in early and they were still able to get us a room. Breakfast is a bonus and really good location for touring the city

I arrived 30 min after check in time, waiting over 130min to check in due to the hotel workers on strike. Hotel tried to book me another hotel but i refused due to being in a large group event also staying in the hotel and area. no room service or breakfast or discounts during entire stay. Loud hotel union strike outside hotel with music , horns, and much more. Unpleasant stay.

I didn't stay this property due to the employee strike and they have offered me an another place to stay. Staff were good and called me in advance about this change and very considerate during that chaotic time.

Breakfast was supposed to be included there was an issue and couldn’t be served we payed the sewer backed up and the entire property smelled there’s no help to room no one answered phones it was a horrible experience

The property was disruptive with noise outside because of an ongoing music festival.

There was a worker strike during our stay and we didn’t have breakfast, room service or any type of credit for this lack of services. There was also a music festival outside our window every night until 10pm, which meant my kids couldn’t sleep. The people on the streets were struggling with addiction, poverty and mental health. There was human feces on the sidewalk. We live in a major city and actually like noise/liveliness and diversity. This hotel and neighborhood were a sad dystopian nightmare.

As we checked in, staff went on strike - - 7 days with no breakfast, no cleaning, no towel exchange, no trash removal AND very little effort by hotel to “make it right” - - no staff for “breakfast included” so no breakfast but they sure did know how to overcharge for bottle of water and overpriced hotel shop snacks!

The rating would be higher, but because of the strike that’s going on, it limited some services that I was so looking for to having such as the breakfast. Otherwise I love the upgrades that they have such as the gym. The room was very decent, no complaints there. I hoping to make this hotel my go to stay when I come to Montreal.

Unfortunately on the week of our vacation the employees were on strike so there were days they didn't offer breakfast but upon checking out we were compensated. Their breakfast didn't have a lot of choices which I was surprised because it's Hyatt.

We stayed at Hyatt Place from August 29th to September 2nd. We were excited about the stay, particularly for the free breakfast. Given that we were traveling with two toddlers, having breakfast readily available would have been very helpful. However, we understand that services were not available due to the strike.
Initially, we considered moving to another hotel after checking in. However, we decided to stay due to Hicham’s kindness and calm demeanor in addressing and communicating with guests. His professionalism made us reconsider and ultimately decide to remain at the hotel.

This was strike time for people working at hotels in Montreal.
The hotel gave us their best giving the conditions.
Special thanks to Bastian, who welcomed us for breakfast with a smile and respect, despite being short staffed.
People worked very hard to fulfill everyone needs.

Very tidy and clean room! Easy parking and included breakfast that’s so convenient!

Workers were striking. No breakfast. No bar. No room service. Picketers began making noise early every morning. Entry to the hotel was awkward.
4.0 / 5.0
The hotel is conveniently located in The Village and in walking distance from.the metro and from main tourist areas.
Breakfast was quite busy and difficult to find seating, which downgraded the value of breakfast being included as part of the package.
During out stay, there was a labour strike which cancelled breakfast service altogether, although the hotel proactively prived a credit.
Overall, it's a great option for your Montréal visit if you're ok with a busier hotel and area.

This is a nice hotel in downtown Montreal, but parking is a problem with limited spaces. Breakfast was chaotic—too many people and not enough food.

We have stayed here every year for the past three years. Hotel is beautiful, staff is very friendly. My only complaint is that the breakfast has gone way downhill. I use to brag about the wonderful breakfast they had but this year selection was way down and food was cold. Other than that I would highly recommend to all.

We really had a great stay and staff were friendly.
Just one note on the couch in the room it needs to be cleaned as it is really dusty.

The hotel staff was very good and polite. I was concerned the first day we got there because the staff was on strike. The manager mentioned that there was limited cleaning staff and that our room needed time because of the limited staff. After a few hours they gave us the key. Besides that the hotel is confidently close to transportation and shops.

Staff strike going on during our stay, hours long check in lines for people with kids. Every checkin took 15-20 mins on average, we were exhausted just standing in the line and forgot about visiting the city, so day 1 was a wash. Regardless of the reasons for the strike, this shouldn’t be made the customers problem that are paying full price for the stay. Cherry on top was all the homeless and addicts around the hotel, felt unsafe going out after dark. Won’t be visiting this hotel again, probably made the mistake of staying downtown in the first place.

When we arrived we had to wait over an hour to check in and we found out that the hotel staff were on strike. We were told that we would not be receiving breakfast even though we had paid for it. We were also told that we would receive a $48.00 credit per room per day.
Our rooms were clean but it wasnt made up for the first day. We had to ask for extra towels. When we called down no one would answer. On day 2, the strike ended but no one told us that breakfast would now be available to us. It was only when i asked for towels again that a staff member mentioned breakfast would be served on Day 3 and was served that morning. We had breakfast the last day. When i mentioned this to the staff upon checkout, the manager was called and told us there was nothing they could do. Overall the service was awful and i would not recommend this hotel.
