Heater was a bit loud, even at low speed, water from shower head was hot, but a bit weak. Fireplace was interesting.

Very large room in a historic part of the property. Very southwestern, including a kiva fireplace and period furniture

Things were great until we woke up to no hot water and unable to shower. Promised full refund by property but difficulty is going through Hotels to achieve

Everything good. Enjoy our stay. Quiet after the Saturday night band stopped playing.

Overall, it was a pretty good stay. It is a neat, quaint spot. We really enjoyed the in-room fireplace. We did have a major leak in our room that required us to move to another room for the 3rd night. We were overall pleased with the way the hotel handled that. We were disappointed with how easy it was to hear and smell (think dog poop) from the next room. The service at breakfast was great, service/selection in the cantina at night was poor.

Phone didn't work, T.V. kept glitching, restaurant service was awful, No packages of coffee for the morning in our room, water was either hot or cold (hard to find warm), spider webs throughout the ceiling in bathroom (with spiders).
Bed was very comfortable and the food we waited an hour for was pretty decent.
The restaurant manager needs to take a class in customer service. He would not help us and let us stand there waiting for someone to take our to go order for almost 30 minutes. When we asked for change, he wouldn't help.
We stayed one night and left the next morning. Thank goodness for the nice front desk agent. She gave us a full refund.

Cristal at the front desk was very helpful in working with us to get the room we wanted and needed. Great customer service!

Really nice room except they need to update for connections to plug in chargers etc.

Bugs in the room, spiders in the bathroom, webs in bathroom, one bed cover had a dry blood stain, no elevators to second story rooms. Was offered a complimentary breakfast when they were told about the bugs. Was not looking for compensation but at least that it would be checked into.

Very comfortable room and very pleasant atmosphere. Very restful.

Booked the Executive Suite. Two TVs did not work. Had to call and Security came and got the TVs on. Mini fridge went out, all our food spoiled. Room was dusty and they was crumbs on the carpet. Hot tub jets did not work and pool was not heated. Pool was very cold. There are no elevators for handicap guests. Shower would either be hot or cold, I could not bathe my cold because of the unpredictable temp change. Hotel is old with charm but extremely pricey and rundown more than anything. I will not return. Manager did not offer any kind of refund or discount for the many inconveniences.

The place is falling apart, very dirty.

Shortly after arriving, we went to open the back door to the balcony and I felt something drop on my head. I realized to my horror there was a bunch of bugs stuck in the door frame and many of them flew into the room. Upon further inspection we found a ton of them on the windows and inside the curtains. Many were dead on the table as well. We brought dinner to eat and it was extremely unappetizing after seeing the dead bugs everywhere. They looked similar to bed bugs, so we checked the beds and realized they werent so everything was fine. Overall, the bugs were very offputting. The pool was also freezing cold and the hot tub had one working jet. This place was supposed to be on the higher end as far as staying in Taos goes. I give this place 3 stars.

Room had a heavy musty, mildewy smell.
There was fuzzy black mold growing out of the ceiling in the bathroom.

Lights were not working in my room. Water in restroom mostly came out cold. I could here everyone around me.
When dining in your restaurants bar area all three nights watress were very rude.

The overall property needs updating/upgrading. It shows a lot of deferred maintenance. However, our room was clean, the bed was comfy and the people were super friendly. We ate at the restaurant and had the prime rib special. It was very good. The margaritas were superb-some of the best Ive ever had and Im a margarita snob! If you're looking for a luxury experience, look elsewhere. But, if you just want a place to stay while you explore all Taos has to offer, this is a good place

Beds were excellent! The size of the room was spacious and liked the southwestern touches. We used the frig and microwave. Very comfortable room with sofa and tables and chairs.

As a local, I really enjoyed the true to Taos New Mexico style and accommodations. Loved the feeling of staying in a historical adobe building. Eugenia at the front desk was kind and accommodating. Highly recommend for a true southwestern experience, with amazing stargazing, especially if you’re visiting! Booking, check-in and checkout are a breeze!

Look. I get keeping a historical property as close to original as possible, but some updates need to be made. There were extension cords ran to plug the TV in etc. The shower handle could be pulled from the wall and you had to search for the hot water setting because it didn’t match the markings. There was crumbled grout all over the bathroom and the bathroom window was full of bugs. Walking up to our room on the second level felt like you were going to fall through the floor. The ceiling of the room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable.

$650 for 3 nights!!! low H20 pressure (not able to wash hair), toilet plunger by toilet (bad sign), room phone did not work, frig., micro, and coffee machine in BATHROOM, ignored repeatedly in dining area and had to just leave, have to request room cleaning, 2 ice machines a considerable walk outside (in rain), lots of bugs in light fixture, roaches/gnats in bedroom. Generally not a fun vacation stay!!

Old style inn lots of open space like patios and gardens Needs maintenance and cleaning

This property is definitely in need of updating. The carpet in the hallway looked like it was from the 80s and bubbled in many spots. We found a number of small black bugs on our bed, in the bathroom and one crawling on our ceiling. The bathroom layout was inefficient, with the toilet and shower in one room, and the bathroom sink and closet in a separate area. We liked the convenience of the grill/cantina right next door and the food and live music were great.

Room was clean and comfortable, but the property is dated. Fixtures and rooms need updating. Carpet is starting to come up in some of the main hallways. No complaints otherwise.

The pictures looked nothing like the actual room. When we arrived, the lights in the bedroom did not work, there was no hot water to shower and the heater/AC did not work. There were dead bugs all over my sisters room near the fireplace. Is there any way to get discount or refund ?

Convenient, friendly staff, Dining within walking distance.

The corridors smell so bad because of the dirty greasy carpet. The towels were so hard like sandpaper. Your people are your asset! Fast and friendly.
2.0 / 5.0
The property was good, the shower valve almost pulled out of the wall and the toilet didn’t flush every time we flushed.

It is a nice property

Sagebrush is a quaint little Inn that is our usual choice for stays while in Taos. The rooms are rustic, yet clean and the beds are super comfortable. There is no free breakfast, but the restaurant offers a good breakfast at a decent price.

Stunning views

The grounds were beautiful but there was a lot of deferred maintanance on the property. The stairs to the second floor were unsafe, with handrails that were too wide and full of slivers to grip. The bathroom tile was cracked and missing a lot of grout. The bed was very hard. I would not recommend this facility.

Do not stay at this hotel, you will be disappointed. Check in took 40 minutes due to inability of staff to effectively find rooms for patrons waiting at desk. I realize that this is a low paying job and probably thankless on most days but a trained staff who smile, greet guests, make polite conversation and eye contact goes a long way. Otherwise it feels like ineptitude and a complete lack of manners. Once we were in the room I was horrified by the filth that was everywhere. I feel like the toothpaste spit from guest before me was still on the faucet. Floors dirty, outlets coated with the detritus of decades, lint and grime on pretty much everything. This was not the hotel or experience I had hoped for. Very disappointing Sagebrush Inn...I had such high hopes for Taos and my dreams were dashed right away by your lack luster greeting and dirty secrets.

The Southwestern decor was very nice, and the room was large.
