Hotel staff was the friendliest and most helpful i have experienced

Arrive at lunch time, room wasnt ready, not a problem , went out for the day and dinner returned at 9pm, and room still wasnt ready, not to mention horrible service at front desk, had to wait 30mins while woman at front desk seemed to be overwhelmed and under staffed... plus the fees for a chagred for room went up over 400% cause of busy weekend... very very disappointed

Room was not great, but the service, particularly from Tina and Peaches, was excellent!!

We requested a room on the first floor near a door out to the parking lot. The night clerk was able to provide one next to where we parked our vehicle, so it was easy to roll the oxygen machine needed by a family member right into the room. We were very appreciative. However, the room was missing a curtain over the window and a phone. The clerk brought us a thin sheet to put over the window. The door was also hard to close. The door leading outside was very noisy when opened and closed. The person in the room next door must have gone in and out 30 times before finally calling it a night around midnight. Then the maids were out early working the hall while talking extremely loudly. We didn't get much sleep. I also felt the charge for parking in THEIR parking lot was petty. We had two vehicles, so we were charged $25 to park. Shouldn't a business provide a place for their customers to park? While the staff was very nice and accommodating, we will not be returning.

My reservation was for two rooms. I also have two federally registered ESA service animals. When I go to the hotel, the front desk girl refused to honor my reservation saying I only had a reservation for one room, not two. And the hotel refused to recognize my registered ESA service animals as actual service animals. And I was charged a $70 a piece pet fee even with all documentation. Staff at check in was rude and very unaccommodating and for $600 and having to pay for parking, I should have almost received five star service for the one night.

Hotel is under construction (remodelations) and this was not specified at the moment of the reservation, I have allergy to the dust.
The room has a lot of dust, and smell like dirty, like they clean superficially, but it needs a deep clean

The staff were outstanding

Under construction was not aware of it before hand.
AC made horrible noise the whole time made it hard to sleep.
Beds were not comfortable.
Only one elevator worked for entire hotel.
Parking was not easy.

We stay here often. Always pleased with the room and service. Right now they are having renovations done but still all was fine.

They were under construction so access was kinda strange but staff was friendly and the room was nice

It was under construction which was fine, but hallways were dirty from debris. Breakfast room was probably not as usual but had to ask for water or juice today as only option was coffee. Also asked for an extra pillow the first night and it never came, had to ask again in the morning, at least I got it then!

Place was under renovation. Everything was dirty. Saturday afternoon there was hammer drilling on the floor above. When called the hotel. They denied there was renovations going on at that time. Can’t trust this chain or support of Expedia on this matter. Although, Expedia can only go by what’s told to them. I should have taken pictures and audio recordings. Quite an extent for a simple
Stay that cost 300.00

Limited parking available due to heavy equipment taking up several spots. We were still charged $12 to park but there was nothing available. We had to park in a public garage and pay for that as well. I would not stay here until the renovation is completely finished.

Room was dirty. Filters for air conditioner lying on the floor. They only cleaned the room if we asked them to. Front desk was rude. Would never go to this Hampton again. Any time in the past that I stayed at a Hampton it was well worth the money, definitely not this time. So disgusted in this place.

The whole staff is amazing! Tina greets you every morning for breakfast, then Peaches is there to give you a great experience ! The front desk is so helpful and quick, Michelle does an amazing job! I will definitely stay here again!

Daytime staff was alright but nighttime staff was unprofessional and not helpful. Parking was a joke since they are having renovations. You would think if they knew a concert was in town and you had a lot of reservations and you had to pay for parking that they would figure something out in advance and be as helpful as possible with the stress of finding parking. Very aggravating on that part. Rooms were alright but as said before they are renovating. Definitely not worth paying 218 bucks for one night. If I stay in Jacksonville ever again it won’t be there.

The parking lot was full of construction equipment and there was not enough parking for all guests staying. People were parked everywhere around the building, including the grass in front of and on the side of the building. i then noticed that there was a sign chaging $12 for parking. We ended up parking over 3 blocks away after arriving back late after a concert. The parking fee was removed. Have to give a huge shoutout to the breakfast staff, they coul not have been any friendlier or helpful.

When I check in the ac in the room didn’t work. They had to replace it. It took like 3 hours but they refunded all of my bill.

The staff Christy and Sherry were so kind and friendly. They assisted me to my room because of my handicap of limited walking.

Dirty hotel. Currently being renovated. Construction noise starts at the crack of dawn. Front lobby was rude. Lady in charge of breakfast was fantastic and was this motel’s only redeeming quality. They won’t disclose it at check in, but they charge you to park as well.

Property is old, dirty, out dated and smells like smoke. The tub had chipped pieces in several spots. The chairs in the room we're stained. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in in a very long time.

Staff was all amazing. Beds slept well. Property is being renovated and overdue for that. Hallways and elevators were extremely dirty from the construction. Homeless were apparent in the area and they lock the even the front door at night bc of this. It was ok for the one night stay like we did but I wouldn’t stay for a vacation there until the renovations were done at least.

Requested an ADA wheelchair room. If our room was considered accessible, the beds were too high and the placement of the toilet paper holder was terrible for both a walker or wheelchair. Also renovations were not complete in the room, and we were not told it would be under renovation while we were there.

There are signs everywhere reminding you the hotel is about to undergo renovations, but I still took issue with the overall cleanliness of the room. The bathroom had mold, the chaise was disgustingly stained, the carpet was grungy. Just not clean

The room was clean and the location was convenient.

This hotel is under construction! Would be nice to have to option NOT TO stay there. I paid for 2 nights, THEN was told about the work. DIRTY and OLD. Lots of patrons were complaining. Staff was very nice. I felt DECEIVED. And we PAID FULL PRICE!

I would definitely stay here again top notch

I would stay at this hotel again but not until 2025. It is under renovation and there were issues. I am understanding of construction dust, but that's not all we encountered. Here's the lowdown:
Good - staff was friendly, parking plentiful, convenient location, nice breakfast, comfortable bed.
Bad - security (side door left open during the day for construction workers and not once asked for my ID), room had lingering cigarette smoke odor, room was not as clean as I would have liked, not enough towels*, no lids for coffee cups at breakfast, A/C unit started smelling like it was burning on our last morning there, key access cut off before 11 am when checkout is at noon.
*Regarding towels, we were short a washcloth. I asked for one at the front desk, and they said they had ordered some but they had not been delivered yet. They gave me one that was clean but stained. While eating breakfast, I heard another guest complaining about not having towels. Make me wonder if they're not getting any new until the reno is done.

The reserved and fully paid for room was not available at 3:00pm for check in. We were told there were *no* rooms available. At 3:30 we got into our room, and told there are *no* towels in the hotel. We had no hand soap, no wash cloths, no hand towels and no bath towels… we were given a “left over towel” from another room while it was being cleaned just so we had ONE towel. The next day we’re given two pool towels since there were still *no* bath towels. Ridiculous. The bed had stains. Positive side- no bugs.

Southern Grill near by was great for lunch.

The place needs renovations. Paint chipping off bathroom ceiling. Water came out black. Flooring was stained. When I made the reservation online it said parking was free, but they charged $12/day! Never cleaned room after 5 days.

This place was way less than satisfactory. There was construction going on, so the noise was continual, and loud, until 6:30 PM. There was a shortage of towels, and we were unexpectedly charged $12 for parking, which we tricked into paying. (There was an empty lot adjacent to the property. There was a good restaurant across the street, called The Southern Grille.

Hotel looks run down. Drains were clogged in the bathroom.

It was terrible from the beginning. i pulled up and went inside. The receptionist wasnt very friendly at all. She acted like it i was bothering her. On the site it said there was limited room service. come to find out there was none at all. Got to the room it was a handicap room which i didn't need. the shower was terrible. it was my wife's birthday and i wanted it to be special but that didn't happen. We ended up leaving around 4 am. We didn't even stay there 12 hours it was so bad.

I’m very disappointed in this hotel! The staff is incredibly nice but the actual hotel is not. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. I had to be changed into another room due to how awful the shower and toilet were! The room I went into was a little better but the shower didn’t drain, hair was all in the shower and the lounge in the room was stained all over and the carpets are stained with who knows what. For 150$ a night I expect more than red roof inn quality. Don’t stay here if you can help it. Very confused as the ratings are very good on Expedia.

Overall it was a good stay. The staff was not very friendly and made it feel like an inconvenience to even ask a question but the rooms were decent and clean
