The room and especially the bathroom is very clean. It was very refreshing and relaxing after a long day at seaworld.

Staff was very accommodating and efficient.

Checkin and checkout was smooth. Service is fine. Dining area is too small and is packed during breakfast buffet. The bed frame is made of metal and makes a loud noise when your foot hits it which is unavoidable. There is no closet nor drawers to store clothes. Bathroom room too small, sink too small, not enough room for toiletries.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was overcrowded and out of control. Couldn't get food.

Hotel was very clean and rooms seemed to be very up to date. Vinyl plank flooring was nice. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, cereals, and waffles. Midnight clerk, John, was very friendly and pleasant, even at 1230am when we checked in. Only negatives are shower didn’t have good water pressure and the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy. Saw two different guys in interactions with police just around the corner in the same day. There is a fence around the property though and they do have a well lit parking lot and parking under the hotel. Very close to the airport and the Marine Corp Recruit Depot.

This used to belong to another chain of hotels. It is fully remodeled. Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Staff very nice. The location is convenient, but not on a nice street. Several homeless people around. Breakfast typical of these type of hotels. Heavy on sugary flour-based items. Not many options for people with gluten problems or diabetics!

One of my favorite hotels in this price range whenever I travel solo for business to San Diego. The property ground is safe and the room clean, well maintained, and comfortable. I always request a quiet room facing away from the freeway; once the last plane takes off, it's quiet throughout the night. Underground parking is convenient with 2 elevators on each end and spaces are bigger than the one on the ground level. Wifi is steady and there are lots of USB charging ports. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lady was rude working the front desk. The room had ants, felt like the floors were dirty, microwave did not work, and fridge was not very col, and shower wall had mold. Housekeeping was rude when additional toilet paper, a box of Kleenex, and trash bags were requested. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and great dog run.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Clean up dated rooms, attentive and friendly staff, free breakfast, free parking. Very convenient to major highways and a great locatuon for visiting Seaworld, SD zoo. About 30-35 minutes to Legoland California and SD Zoo Safari Park. Close to a shopping center with great dinning options.

Our stay was good. Considering we were only there to sleep. Parking was very tight and ver limited. Breakfast was good, but same options every day. Neighborhood was a bit iffy.

We stayed one night, a quick trip for a concert at SOMA.
We were looking for a budget accommodation near the venue, not the Taj Mahal. The hotel is well located for the venue (6 minute walk), in an industrial area, but completely gated and had good security presence.
The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was hot. The breakfast was an above average complimentary offering, the dining areas also clean.
Recommend if you want an inexpensive accommodation to lay your head for a quick trip.

The area was a little shady, but the hotel itself was fine. No problems. Free parking and breakfast.

Reviewed some comments before stay.. Agreed with the positive reports regarding the breakfast. It would be what one would reasonably expect and more.. Eggs and Sausage were delicious, wide variety of other continental type items available.. Coffee was not my favorite but reasonable plus Starbucks is < 10 min walk (I drank the Comfort Inn coffee all 4 days!!!).. Room and bed very comfortable for the setting. Front Desk staff very helpful AND we needed couple extra towels one day. The lady at the front desk assured me it was not a big deal and jumped to accommodate my request..
Neighborhood— Located in a business district with some
Industrial bent, but easy to moderate walk to restaurants and stores.. Easy moderate walk to Old Town San Diego for wife and I (age 60’s) and major MTS center.. Was easy to catch the train..
“Homeless” as note in other reports?. Yes- seen at a reasonable distance.. not a issue when my wife and I walked to businesses, Old Town, and MTS.. IMHO it should not affect Your decision with all the other positive things about this motel.. I never felt unsafe when walking outside the motel complex.. If you have a car then it is Not a logistical issue, you are situated away from all this concern….
How can they improve? More choices and variety of yogurt, hot chocolate to make my mocha, more variety teas. I know I am being picky…

While the hotel appeared stunning in photographs, my experience in person was quite disappointing. To begin with, the location is situated in a somewhat industrial area. It was close to Les Girls, which is a jerk off arcade. Yes, you read that right. Directly outside the hotel’s parking area was an crackhead spray painting their scooter and looked like they just slang drugs their all day. Inside the hotel, the room itself felt unclean and sticky. Although the vinyl flooring had a modern look, it was not clean because I had very dirty feet. The chair in my room smelled like pee. The overall size of the room felt more akin to that of a Motel6. There also seemed to be issues with the air conditioning units, as water was leaking from them, with towels placed below the units outside to catch the drips. Breakfast was mediocre at best, offering a selection of toast, muffins, a waffle maker, sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal, and bagels—nothing that left a lasting impression.I chose this hotel based on its captivating photos with the hope of enjoying a delightful birthday weekend, but ultimately, it fell short of any sense of luxury. Though I understand it is not classified as a top-tier hotel, I have experienced much more comfortable stays at other Comfort Inns, making this visit all the more disappointing.

A very enjoyable stay here - the staff were really helpful, the room was very good with welcomed amenities and the hotel was situated in an excellent spot for getting around San Diego. Coupled with the excellent breakfast and the price of the accommodation, I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We had a nice stay has everything we needed for a quick getaway weekend. It wasn't in the best area but it was close to everything and we felt safe, the place was nice and clean all employees were very nice. Would cone back again.

We stayed for 3 days and our stay was fine. It was quiet, everything was provided in the room and the breakfast was good 6-10am.
For parking just make sure you come earlier to be able to get a space to park. It gets full right away especially weekends.

It was good. The night person was not. She was rude at every encounter. Breakfast area is a bit small and hard to maneuver but they did great with replenishing everything quickly.

Overall it was a nice stay the staff was nice and breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I have negative to say is that it is in a little A questionable area.

One of the best stays we have had till date. Granted that the location being downtown is not the prettiest but that’s San Diego’s fault. The hotel itself felt very safe and secure. The best cleaning staff hands down. The room was cleaned ever since day during our 3-day stay. The room was large and clean with all the amenities that one would need. The bed was super comfy. And the location was ideal for us as it was very close to Sea World, zoo and the Belmont park mission bay beach.

Facilities & Staff were great, just the neighborhood streets were so dirty, dark & Sketchy.

The hotel is very basic. Nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable. Small bathroom with no hooks other than one for a towel. Neighborhood is sketchy. Several homeless sleeping on the streets with garbage litter around some vehicles. Girls nude theater business is kitty corner from the hotel. Not a good environment for kids to be driving by every day.

I mean it says sea world like it’s a family hotel but it’s across the street from a 18up dance club and I seen Shady activity at the hotel. Hôtel is decent and I do always love the breakfast

The male that was there at night was friendly even after he was having an uncomfortable conversation over the phone. The breakfast lady was awesome. Then at check out there was a Hispanic lady that was super friendly and helpful. Then there was another lady that I saw when I check in and when I checked out that looked at me with the meanest face ever. Like I was being a huge inconvenience for her and she didn't even take care of me in both occasions. San Diego all on it's own felt very unsafe and around the hotel there was a dark alley but once you got in you felt safe.
