Very noisy surrounding area. Someone banged on our door 2x after midnight. A bit disconcerning. We will not stay agsin.

Right off a major highway, cant complain, once your door is closed you cant hear anything. Bed is comfortable, bathroom more than accessible, and tv works!

Average place to stay overnight to sleep. Clean just off the freeway.

Doors room without lock

Started with an employee who made mistakes on our arrival paperwork. Then we got a room that was badly damaged. We asked for a better room and it was o.k. The bathroom faucet was very difficult to use. Towels were small with one face cloth. It was near a construction site as well. You dont feel at ease at the site.

The room smelled like cigarettes & the pool was filled in

While the property itself is decent enough for as old as it is (beds are truly very comfortable), the surrounding area is undergoing considerable construction and is very noisy during the daylight hours. Which can be a problem if staying multiple days and trying to sleep in or nap. At night, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear the neighbors constantly.
To add insult to injury, someone broke into the car and stole several things, including my wife’s handicap placard. Nothing of any real value because we prepared for just such an eventuality, but it is annoying. It also denies that this probably isn’t the safest hotel to stay at. We only stayed here because it was so close to my work. I would definitely find a different hotel if I needed one in the area again.

Was a great area and affordable, comfortable room. It was quiet and easy to get around the area.

Room upkeep and maintenance is shabby. Many things need to be replaced or repaired. SHower curtain is too short leading to water pooling on floor. Very clean. Fridge is quiet. Property is clean. Lobby is clean and welcoming. CHeckin was friendly and easy.

Wasn’t a bad stay. Just not the best area if you are looking to stay near things to do.

We had a nice, quiet stay. Simple. Clean. Easy to find. We have loved to see maybe a simple breakfast option in the lobby and the vending machines needed filled. Otherwise, nice little place to stay.

It was a basic room for the price. Older hotel that has been cleaned up and refurbished. No breakfast.

The Peppertree is a rough property. I've stayed there twice, and that's probably enough times to have learned my lesson. This most recent time my room was missing the security latch from the door, the bathtub has big rust spots in the tub, and my top blanket had a cigarette burn. There were a couple creepy crawlies in the room as well that gave me the itch for the rest of night. It is technically serviceable if your standards are low enough.

Alrhough the room was mostly satisfactory, I did notice a rather worn out interior, stains and grease on old carpeting, furniture and bedsheets, hastily added plastic tub "tile," and a concrete filled-in pool outside. Otherwise, it worked for a few nights and was better than most less expensive motels.

No pool or breakfast as advertised; property needs paint.

Not a bad place, just a little dated and out of the way.

It's a wonderful hotel and I will remember it forever with my lady friend. I wish it were closer to stores.

This was without question, the worst place we've stayed at in a long time. No breakfast. The grounds were terrible: no grass (just dirt and debris), poor lighting, etc.
The room was bland. I have cervical vertebrae issues, and the pillow felt like it was overstuffed with rags.
Finally, I don/t care what nationality operates the property, but I do expect them to be able to speak English.
I "might not" have written this review if I had paid $60 for the night, but then again, I probably would have.

Pretty nice stay and staff is great. I wish stores weren't so far away. Other than that, good stay.

I booked and paid for one king bed room and we got a smaller bed instead. The bed was old and noisy.

The pictures of the rooms on the site were probably taken 40 years ago. Nothing has been updated. 1 star hotel. Old or broken everything. I did not want to take my shoes off in the room. Also, Ii checked in after midnight because I was with family member in hospital at OHSU and they said no late checkout or they will charge me.

When we got checked into The room we had noticed there was no flip Lock on the door so I Call the front office and ask them if they had another room available and they told us they did not. The next morning All was good until Tony sat in the rolling chair, but there was a wheel missing and he fell backwards out of the chair onto the ground. When checking out he let them know of the concerns and all the lady said was she was sorry. This is unacceptable. I want my money back. I did not feel safe and I would like to be contacted back.

The sound from the heater/air conditioner was overwhelming loud and obnoxious to the point we had to turn it off

Really, really run down, door didn’t have an upper lock, ice machine didn’t work, it was loud with the freeway traffic and noisy neighbors, the pool was filled in with concrete. Our room was dirty, the doors had big holes in them with putty covering the holes, the bathtub squealed so loud when you got in that I swore I was going thru the foor. Would not stay there again

Nice inexpensive place to stay by the grandkids

After getting to this property it was obvious it was not what was in pictures. The pool was cemented in and all the patio furniture was stacked with caution tape on it. The room was dirty the chair in the room was filthy. There were gnats around the bathroom sink and ants. There was no security lock on the door. We tried to stay but when my husband took the desk chair out to put in front of the door and it was filthy I just couldn't take anymore. We went to the front desk to let them know we could not stay due to the FILTH, BUGS, and LACK OF SECURITY, the lady said we had to cancel our reservation with Expedia. We trid to contact them by phone with no prevail. After that I asked if I could get a phone number to contact a manager and she refused. I then asked if she could please give me something showing we did not stay and she did not want to do so. She kept insisting I cancel with Expedia. After an hour of trying to talk to her and Expedia she reluctantly printed a check out recipt and wrote a note on it stating we did not stay. After reaching out online Expedia assured us that they would contact Peppertree for a refund. Peppertree refuses to give us a refund. I feel we deserve a refund, we couldn't safely stay in that room without a lock and in the filth. Peppertree has a 7.4 rating on Expedia it is nowhere near 7.4... It isn't clean, it looks NOTHING like the pictures and was unsafe. Not to mention the staff was unhelpful and lacked empathy for our concerns.
