We are locals who wanted a staycation that wouldn't bust our budget. This place is in a great location, only a block from the beach, and a lot cheaper than the beach facing hotels. Yes, the room was tiny, with few amenities (but had a mini fridge and coffee maker) but super clean and quiet with ample parking. Just note that it is right next to another hotel and go to the correct check in office! It doesn't look like much from the street but we consider it a hidden gem we will recommend to our budget conscious friends.

The staff Denise, Esmeralda and Jamie are wonderful. Very courteous, kind and helpful. The room was clean and my stay was amazing. Enjoyed walks on the beach, walk to the warf is about 20-25 mins., so many wonderful restaurant choices.

We loved it - easy parking, check-in and check-out. Appreciated the communication and flexibility with our group. Would stay again.

I got a suite and there was NO internet and NO phone signal. When I complained they said their internet simply didn't reach that far and suggested I used the WiFi of the Motel 6 next door (which wasn't great either). My suite had a kitchen with ZERO utensils, plates, pans, etc. What's the point? Unbelievable. It wasn't cheap either.

Amazing service from staff. Front desk very accommodating on every request. The only problem is that the hotel needs some TLC meaning some repairs and maintenance are needed.

We booked last minute while visiting daughter at UCSB. Denise at front desk was very kind and helpful. She even helped us plug in our new Tesla overnight. We’ll be back!

There is no sound insolation on the walls so you can hear everything around you. You can hear guests walking on the second level loudly and even conversations next door.

The room was dirty - there was so much dust in the “walk in” closet, it tuned black, not when was the last time they mopped the floors but you could see footprints from before on the floor. The floor was so cheaply installed that it was making the loudest noise when you walk around with or without shoes on but you had to have something on because the floors were dirty. The pillows looked someone just stuffed things in there to make pillows. There was no refrigerator in the room and I had throw away so much stuff I got from the store because I could Not chill over night. Room 20 has the worst view by the way. The TV was too small for the room. The WiFi is terrible. It takes forever to connect and when you do is slow. I would NOT recommend it at all. For that money you could stay anywhere else.

It was way more expensive than it was worth. The shower wasn’t clean, my wife had an allergic reaction to something in the room (seemed like a cat may have been there), the tv was very small, the internet was super slow and kept disconnecting, and not enough parking.

I def loved staying here because it was close to the beach and was able to walk to the pier and restaurants

A very nice basic hotel. Pretty pool and a spotless facility. Rooms are small but totally workable. Super clean. The Internet isn’t the best but fine for a vacation trip. Neighborhood is very quiet and a short walk to the entertainment and restaurant district. Good for people who like a good buy and can forgive little things like spotty internet.

Few amenities. Room extremely small. Crickets and lots of spiders in the room.

Nice hotel with walkable distance to dining options. The price for the hotel is higher than what we expected. We came in and slept 2 nights and it cost us $700. Yes its close yo the water but very costly.

This property does not have anyone on site after 9 PM. Unfortunately, for us on the second night of our stay our air-conditioning started making a noise that was so loud we could no longer stay in the room. It was around 9:30 at night when it started and we waited until around 11 hoping that the noise would resolve. At that point, I called the hotel and just received an answering machine. We had to leave to find someplace else to sleep. When I contacted the hotel the next day, they basically said that we should have called the number that is posted in their office which is closed. That phone number is not listed when you call the hotel phone number nor were we aware that it was posted in the lobby which I knew was closed.
We requested a refund for the second night and the front desk attendant agreed that the noise was still occurring and was not reasonable. After phone calls for about a week and a half the best they could offer was pay for one night and the second night free the next time.
Since the room was uninhabitable for sleep, and the phone number for the hotel did not redirect to an emergency line. I believe we should have been reimbursed for the second night.
I would recommend staying in a hotel that has staff overnight in case you have any issues. The types of air-conditioning these rooms have are the kind that are retrofitted and I guess they probably have issues quite a bit.
The noise was so loud you could hear it outside the room three doors down.

absolutely terrible stay from beginning. the bed broke 5 minutes after getting in the room and instead of switching my room, they took the mattress, put it on the floor with the sheet and flipped the bed base and put the mattress with the same sheets that were just on the floor back on the bed. so many things went wrong and on top of that i had to text the manager back and forth for all these issues instead of enjoying my trip. dirty sheets broken things just awful.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating of any requests. The cleanliness was above standards and they service the room everyday if you choose. Great pool area and a block from the beach and a nice restaurant. I would have loved having a comfy chair in the room. They are planning on a breakfast room which will be great and providing a bike would be lovely for those of us who take the train. I’ll be back

Last minute booking that turned out to be the most pleasant surprise

Needed to wear shoes in the room as the floor was dirty. No pool as it was being renovated but we were not told this at any point. Workman still using power tools until almost 2am with the radio playing right outside our room. No fridge, no safe. We paid £240 just for one night. It was a complete rip off.

I feel deceived by the “wonderful” status. The room next to me had its door open so I could see the hotel was working construction on it. Walls PAPER thin. I was beside myself that continuing until AFTER MIDNIGHT they were drilling and hammering away! When I pulled the bedding down there were a couple hairs in the bed. Also- wifi reset every 30 seconds. Terrible

We came while there was construction in the room next door. I should have said something earlier but assumed the management would know construction, that we were not informed if ahead of time, would be taking place and let us know. At 9 I said something. Then 10 minutes later, the air conditioner started leaking water. Could be a coincidence but it put a damper on our evening. I was pleased that the ladies at the front desk came to ask the construction to stop and offered a towel for the floor. It is a nice location, but not sure I’d stay again next year.

They advertise a full size bed as a queen. MGR non responsive, refuses to give corp. PH number, claims not to know the size difference between full and queen size beds(even as I am showing the Sit-n-Sleep size chart). Found corp number(online) and none of their numbers allow for VM.

We had to leave literally upon check in because of an emergency, front desk lady said we could get a refund “potentially”. Spoke to the gm apparently and said we would be charged a cancellation fee, which is just the price of them room for the night plus an additional fee. On top of that the room is super low quality. The view is looking at a dump. Requested to speak to someone who could actually help me and there response is “we are a corporation we don’t give out numbers”. Which just isn’t true, anyone who works in customer service knows that. Over all terrible experience, and they were doing construction… so

Huge pros:Big rooms, great service at the front desk, super comfortable beds. 1 block to the beach! Clean, quiet neighborhood, ample parking. Great pool and pool chairs.
The reason for the 4 rating: buckled bathroom floor which badly needs replacing, fridge on request only, no microwave.
Would give it a 4 but no option to do so. Pricing on par for what you get in Santa Barbara. Will stay again for sure if prices remain competitive. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice little place. Close to the beach.

The room was in the middle of upgrades - old floors, paint tape, no wall art, no outlet covers.
Mold in shower - on shower head and plastic at bottom of door.
Didn’t have enough towels although it was a reservation for 4 people.
It was pretty clean and felt safe.
A little noisy; thin walls.
Close to beach.

Not a lot of extras; but a great location. Just a block or so from the beach and a nice pool. For two seniors, we were too close to the pool. A little more noise than we preferred.
