very nice place. Had a very nice lounge and also a small sitting area with a smaller whiskey bar that Liz the bartender was exceptional

One night in town for a Christmas party. This is our go to place. The spa is amazing. The Armory is amazing. You’re in the heart of the Old Port. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable.

A very old school style hotel right in the old port section of town. Very comfie beds and plenty of towels. The spa with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were a wonderful addition, especially on a cold rainy morning. We both enjoyed our massages!

This is a very beautiful hotel. We stayed a night for our anniversary. Room was spacious and very clean. The king bed was really comfortable. Great views from our balcony. Staff were super nice at check in-out. Easy to walk to all the shops in town. We ate dinner at The Armory located inside hotel. Food was exceptional and I would definitely recommend and stay here againđź‘Ś

This hotel was awesome! Had our mini Honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better service. They were super accommodating and even provide us with a free upgrade!

The hotel was beautiful and the room very cozy.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Only complaint was that the room was very dark--just one bedside lamp and another small reading lamp at the far corner of the room. Also, sauna closes really early at 6:00, which makes it impossible to use for anyone that is working during the day.

Great location. We liked being able to walk around Old Port and not have to take the car and pay for additional parking. Parking here is valet only at $30 a night but is accessible 24 hrs. No free breakfast is offered. They have a restaurant inside that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel itself was older but fairly well kept. They give you traditional heavy keys instead of key cards which was kind of annoying to carry around. Lastly, our air conditioning did not work. No cold air would come out, even after asking the front desk to reset it, the temperature did not change. It was uncomfortable to have to sleep in a 74 degree room 2 nights in a row. The only good thing is they did provide us with box fans to help, which did make it a little better. We were not told about this at first, but they do have free water bottles near the entrance that you can have. Overall, it was an okay stay, but would not stay here again due to the air conditioning issues.

Hotel was clean and well kept. Rooms were comfortable. Was unable to access the spa either. It's hugely popular or understaffed. Overall a good experience

It was relaxing. A little noisy in the morning, but we like to sleep in. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel was beautiful and in the perfect location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and our excursions. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for several days and interacted with about a half dozen employees who were all exceptional. From the front desk attendants to the shuttle driver, everyone was helpful, friendly, and professional. The room was nice enough and clean, no complaints, and the location couldn't be better. We didn't pay for parking, but instead used street parking and it worked great. That said, your milage may vary depending on day of the week, season, etc.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in Portland.

Excellent service from valet to housekeeping! Located in the heart of the Old Port and easily walkable to shops, restaurants and venues.

This is an upscale hotel in a historic old armory that was converted to a hotel. It is in perhaps the most historic section of Portland, walkable to just about everything. In fact, our only "wheels" used during our 3-day stay was to shuttle to and from the train station. Oh...there are 5 trains a day each way between Portland and Boston. It was pricey but so is everything these days. Only down side worth mentioning is that their shuttle does not run between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM which was when we had to get back to the train station, so we had to take an Uber. Facility was clean, comfortanble, and quiet.

Great location. Little dated rooms but well worth the service and location.

The Regency is located in a fantastic central location to all the Old Port has to offer. With clean rooms, a comfortable bed, and intimate spa facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downfall we experienced was the Ironside Whiskey Bar was closed our entire stay. Very unfortunate as we were looking forward to experiencing that anemity. Overall very happy with our stay, that fact aside.

They had a complementary shuttle from the airport, which was great. I was a late getting into my room because of a stain on the floor that they couldn’t remove so they ended up replacing a piece of the carpet. They compensated my patience with a $50 gift card to the restaurant in the hotel, which was very nice. I scheduled housekeeping every day but one day they did not come so I had to ask for them to come at 5:30 in the afternoon when I returned to my room. Everyone is very friendly. I did not love the bar downstairs. Didn’t really appreciate getting Mustard and plastic packets at a restaurant bar in the hotel. Also, the whiskey bar was closed which I was very disappointed with. I was looking forward to that! Thank you to Sarah for always being there for me.

Disappointing, to be totally honest. The hotel just seems like it needs some major investment to bring it up to normal standards of cleanliness and service. Room was dirty, hair throughout (bathroom floor, sheets, towels), carpets liberally stained, mattresses had clearly been replaced with a smaller size mattress but the larger bed platforms remained, and the exposed edges were full of crumbs, dust, hair, etc. Front desk was sometimes staffed, valet parking stand was usually empty and you have to look for someone at the front desk (if present) to contact valet. Under-staffed, in other words. Spa provided good massages, but jacuzzi was closed and the whole thing is on a dank basement floor. Overall it was just unclean and needs help. Location super and totally walkable, but I would not go back, and could not recommend.

This is one of my favorite hotels, and right in the heart of Portland. Come here every year. The staff makes it special for us.

We had the best weekend at the Portland Regency. The staff was excellent and went above to help with a few special requests for a wedding celebration. The rooms are great, beds comfy. We only ate breakfast once at the hotel but the food was very good. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around Old Port- I would highly recommend!!!

I took one star off conveniences because the nearest elevator to our room was out of service at least 2 of the days of our stay. I'd stay here again though. Great Hotel with excellent staff.

Fantastic staff, clean rooms, stellar location. Nothing but great things to say about the hotel and the staff here. We had a couple room requests and they were about to accommodate them for us which was incredibly kind. The garden cafe is adorable and delicious. Valet and parking rates was better than all the surrounding hotels and went above and beyond. We cannot wait to come back!

We went for a long weekend. Overall the stay was ok. On the first evening right after we checked in I went to the desk to ask if the loud HVAC noise was normal. The lady at the front told me no and she would get someone to look at it…. No one ever came to our room. I was disappointed, to hear rattling & how loud it was the entire weekend was disappointing. I will probably try a newer hotel next time I visit. The rooms & fixtures were definitely out of date.

We have stayed in Portland many times and this was our first time staying here. It definitely won’t be our last! I wish we had known about this place before! Just a very short walk to Old Port! The hotel has wonderful amenities, restaurants, and courteous staff!

The valets are very friendly and helpful. Alway very polite and greet you when you enter and leave. Room maid service is if needed and the hotel is very central to everything and love the fact they have a gym, steam, sauna and spa. The view from the deck of the water is nice to wake up to and see the early morning sun shining.
