Positives excellent service at the bar.
Negative uncomfortable bed (two singles pushed together) rather a double bed as paid for.
Shower not hot - even on the highest setting.
Could hear other doors opening and closing in the hall way.

Room only OK. bathroom needs updating. Food in bar over cooked. 11 euro per night to park.

Really nice hotel.. centrally located.. only problem was that it has no car park and there is a big car park adjacent to hotel but had to pay 11 euro for night.. which on top of hotel price made it pricey

I was staying with my daughter for a theatre show competition. On the first night small children pkayed rap door run untill 11pm and on the second morning we queued for 40 minutes on 2 separate occasions for breakfast and gave up and went to the spar across the road.

This is one of the best hotels, everything is so perfect I may extend my stay.

Excellent location

Nice property with fabulous access to the city and all it has to offer. As Canadians we could have used a lesson on the operation of lighting, although the front desk offered to come and check when we called. We declined as there are some rooms where lighting is all or none-the situation in our room. A bit annoying as one of us wanted to sleep and the other wanted to read. The sleeper took priority. Otherwise a very nice and comfortable hotel with a very good pub attached.

Excellent!

the hotel itself is pretty good, the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
However… the bar, Hop Bar I think it’s called, is utterly atrocious, very unclean and the outside area, the Entire (!) outside area, stank of vomit! It was disgusting! I had to go back inside, even tho I tried sitting at the farthest end, close to the riverside walkway, the stench was pervasive and it was unbearable. Shameful! Also, I asked a bar person to remind me of what the Six Nations sports event was, there are advertising ribbons and banners all over the bar and the bar person didn’t have a clue! He had to go and ask someone to get the info… I mean you’re advertising it in your bar so you should know what it is! Super disappointing…. All I can say is, avoid the bar at all costs, the hotel is alright.

Very slow check in, and extremely poor wait staff service. Everyone was friendly and trying to do well, but it took forever to check in, check out, and get service at their restaurant. Breakfast was super slow.

Very nice hotel. Very nice helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. They gave me a lovely room with a river view and a balcony. that was the second time I've stayed there and will definitely stay there the next time I'm in Drogheda

Great check in experience. Love music was a good set. Popular songs for an older generation, 40 . Good fit for the hotel. Good price on wine and Guinness!

I have stayed in this hotel a few times and it is always very nice to stay in the only thing they need to do is give free parking

Nice view of the river from the room but some stains on the walls and sheets

Safe did not work. TV channells mostly did not work. Sink did not empty. Air-conditioning non-existent.

Need improvements in bathrooms with quite alot of mould. Rooms had potential with big balcony area but unfortunately it was very unkept with fake grass partially rolled up & lying in a pile lots of weeds growing and littered with rubbish. Dinner was very good breakfast was ok.

Great location right in the heart of Drogheda. Great food and nicely appointed rooms.

It was a very nice room. Enjoyed my stay .

Lovely staff, especially Chloe in Reception and the bar staff.

TV didn’t work. The bed is very low down. I was on the top floor and there was a constant whistling noise from the wind. It was very noisy outside. The parking charge was 11 euros which should really be included within the price. The night shift guy didn’t know how to give me a receipt. Overall a bit disappointing.

Nice large room. Unfortunately no hot water evening of stay or next morning.

Handy to town. Nice stay and good breakfast

It was fine, beds were quite uncomfortable. We booked a room with 3 triple beds but room had 3 single beds. We were told that the D hotel calls a single bed a twin which doesn’t make any sense.

Great location on the side of the river Boyne.

I was initially intrigued by mini market refrigerated display units selling alcohol obviously there is a demand for it ! It gives off the vibe of a party hotel but glad to say we had no problems ! The hotel is in need of a big refresh but for the price we paid it was not worth it!
A great irish breakfast served by very friendly staff ! But simply not for me

I’ve stayed several times over the last 6 years, the hotel is nice and convenient for business and the local amenities.
I’m afraid the cleanliness has deteriorated the last year, even after an issue in my room finding used sanitary items under the bed, the house keeping cleaned the room the next day but a poor effort the following day.
The cleanliness lets down an otherwise lovely hotel.

It is a quiet place. I was in room116 and i made a request twice for the showerhead to be fixed but it was never fixed. I had to get a screw driver and fix it myself. Age has caught up with it. Hot water was not coming out of the sink tap.

On this occasion service was woeful.
Restaurant was poor service. Had to queue for breakfast on the Sunday morning because dining room was closed to host a carpets and rugs sale.
Charged for car parking which was not disclosed until check in.

Very clean hotel, great location

Stayed here before covid for a function, hotel was lovely and clean. Stayed there on 11th nov this year and the hotel has gone down in cleanliness and service. Rooms needed re painting, leaking shower . Service was slow, at function and most of time only 1 bar person.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous. Hotel was clean and our shower had great power to it (I have long hair). Will be booking for next year. Well done the D Hotel.

TV the size of a computer monitor, lighting in the room so small, one could not read a book. Not what I would expect from a hotel of this type and cost.
1.0
Most awful view from any hotel that we have stayed in. Unfinished and abandoned building site.
No vegetarian options for breakfast.
Tired and disappointing but convenient for Newgrange
Overpriced and mean.

Lovely view of the river. One drawback - no A/C

The room to warm, the bed and mattress so uncomfortable, I stayed at the d hotel before and never had to pay for parking.
I will not stay here again

Great stay at the D!

The room was big and clean and the breakfast was very good. Also, it was in walking distance of the train station.

Room and hotel is lovely and clean. Don’t hurt yourself though, the first aid box is not kept in a good state and the staff appear untrained in their response. I tried to contact them after my stay with this feedback directly, giving them to the opportunity to address but have had no response after over a week of waiting.

Checked in given keys wrong too
room (wrong number wrote on card. Reception has mask hanging off one ear whilst serving. Doesn’t look very professional even with screens. The screens only partially protect as most of the time was spent at the gap between the area. Hotel was used to sleep as was attending a function nearby so didn’t use or require other services. On arrival at 130 am we wait nearly 20 minutes to gain entry to the hotel. NoBody picked the buzzer or the phone number. Not acceptable to have guests locked out. When doors locked they should be manned for returning guests
