I booked this hotel via hotels.com website and choose the pay at property option. Since I have used this option before, I did not think that I would have any trouble. I received several notifications where the property ran the charges for the room before I checked in. This happened on at least 3 occasions. On the day of my check-in, I spoke with a representative that told me I would have to pay at least 3 days of my hotel stay in order to keep the reservation or it would be cancelled by 5pm that evening. Since my flight did not land until 7pm and I would have to travel another 2 hours to the venue, this was impossible. I was also told due to it being an event, that I needed to pay in advance for a portion of my stay. I did end up paying for a portion of the stay over the phone but having to worry about a booked reservation during a travel day was very disheartening.

This was absolutely a beautiful hotel. I would highly recommend it if you get the chance is that’s very close to the river. It’s within walking distance to some of the historical sites. There was plenty of parking. The property itself is beautiful. The room was spacious, bathrooms were so big.

Don’t plan on checking in before 4:00 Pm. You should know the room will not be ready early

I purchased a Superior King with a river view.
When I arrived at hotel, I was given a double queen. Went down to speak with front desk associate was Told verbatim that hotels.com sent the reservation over late to the hotel and that my room was already taken. Resolution no solution no sympathy no empathy. This is insane.

The hotel was an old quaint hotel that was wonderful. We could see a park and lake from our window. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly.
4.4
Great location, in a great little town. Views over the Mississippi are amazing. We arrived jyst in time for sunset. Had wanted to stay fir 2 nughts, but because of a convention the room wasnt available for the second night. Would return to both Natchez and this hotel.

The Natchez Grand Hotel was comfortable and the staff was friendly, but the hotel needs some updating. For example, carpets and furniture need to be replaced. The breakfast was adequate. We did have a nice view of the Mississippi River from our room. That was lovely.
4.4
Swimmingpool was open but looked as it had been closed down for season
Breakfast ok, smal selection. Only available until 9 am

This hotel is amazing. Made our stay in Natchez because it is across street from the river and our room had the best view. We chose this hotel because of the ability to walk safely with beautiful scenery.

Everything was great but I like a firmer mattress than what I got

The hotel needs updating… but the reason why my review is this…I booked a superior king room with a river view. Checked in and it was a regular room with 2 queen beds. I called the front desk and they told me since I booked thru a “3rd party” I basically got what was left. She told me that they were sold out of that room days before I booked. I don’t understand why it was offered as an option. This is the second time at this hotel this has happened to me.

The ladies at the front desk were overwhelmed with angry, trying to check in, but the rooms were not ready. This is a management problem. They did the best they could, but rooms were over two hours late after the check in time of 4 PM it was obvious this hotel has gone down, since we first started staying there 15 years ago.

We love the hotel because it is a part of history. It was clean and comfortable. They had a very good breakfast. I would definitely stay again. It was located near the Mississippi River, which was also a plus.
4.4
the hotel was clean and very comfortable room. only thing I would recommend is if you have long hair, you should bring your own conditioner because theirs doesn't really condition.
4.4
The hotel was ok. I booked a room with a King and got a handicap roon with 2 queens and no microwave. I work on the road and dont like eating out a lot so usually pick stuff up to microwave for dinner. There were hand prints on the mirror about kid hight. The draw under the TV would not stay shut.
Staff seemed pretty friendly and they kept the main arras pretty clean.

The suite that we stayed in was really nice. It was very spacious and was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The living room and dining area was separate from the bedroom, so lots of space to move around.
4.4
Everyone was so accommodating

There for an anniversary trip. Room wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. Room was rather dirty and bathroom floors were sticky. Bed was comfortable but had to ask twice for room to be serviced and clean towels. They are clearly lacking cleaning staff. The only great thing about this hotel is Bryan the bar tender. He's awesome.
4.4
The stay was great with only 2 problems.
1. The toilet is way too close to the floor.
2. The hot water in the shower is too hot. I tried selecting colder water, but with it set at the coldest setting it was still too hot.
4.4
Great location, very quiet. The building is not new but very sound and historic feel
4.4
Good, no problems except a little noisy-next room was a little loud, breakfast was very good, lobby, bar, and restaurant comfortable and well maintained. Only problem was there wasn’t any housekeeping service.

I made it in from driving seven hours only to go and un pack and room 423 was not clean it had a foul odor and the bathroom had feces in the middle of the floor and on the right side of the toilet i did called the front desk and they did move me to a 425 it was not a happy stay i was tramatized how nasty these rooms where i will never stay there again.
4.4
Was a nice king room suite with living room and kitchen
4.4
Beautiful hotel directly across from the Mississippi River. The most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever had at a hotel. The location is convenient to the historical area of town.
4.4
The door leading into the room did not close had to slam it hard to make sure it was shut
The bathroom door did not close at all
4.4
Walking distance from the Bluff
4.4
No room service
4.4
Nice place to stay.
4.4
It was close to downtown area of Natchez!
4.4
Really cool old building (with old, stained furniture to match). Front desk staff was great but they appeared to be having housekeeping staff issues because my room wasn’t ready until after 6pm, so I had to wait hours to get into the room. Room was huge and really nice, despite a lot the old furniture being stained.

This hotel was a beautiful older hotel. If you are looking for new and up to date this is not for you! The decor and vibe is perfect for the city it is located in. It was a perfect stay for the price!

Excellent couple weekend getaway!
4.4
Pleasant experience at an older hotel right across from the Mississippi River.
4.4
Great location.
4.4
The hotel left a few things to be desired. The grand name is a little overstated. Rooms are dated and was not clean to a grand standard. Location is perfect and the stay was quiet. Staff was friendly and Natchez is beautiful.
4.4
We absolutely loved our stay this time; its within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants.
Our room was excellent and perfect for our anniversary getaway!
Also, GREAT price!
4.4
Cute historic property with amazing staff!!
4.4
Great stay for our family!

Hidden charges were stupid high. 5.35 for a bottle of water. No prices on the vending machine and the breakfast was just ok
4.4
Property is beautiful and staff are friendly and helpful!
