This is a great place to stay in Portland for not a lot of money and I was quite surprised to see how nice of a job that was done with the upgrade and remodel they had done with this property.

Very nice old motor court. Owners understand you need to spend money to make money and the remodel is excellent. The drawbacks are minor but worth noting: not in the best area, not a place to be out walking by yourself, limited parking, no space of oversized vehicles or trailers, large refrigerator in the room but no freezer section, no way to freeze your ice packs. Most problematic though were the towels. Like wiping and drying with sandpaper. I don’t understand spending so much on renovating then buying the cheapest towels you can find? Still the best value of the 7 hotels I stayed at this road trip.

I would've had a good stay, except for 2 things: The walls are paper-thin. When people walked around adjacent rooms, my bed shook -- no exaggeration. I could hear my neighbors having sex -- it didn't sound very loud, there was just no sound insulation. And I was startled awake one morning when someone pounded on a neighbor's door. The bed was comfy, but I slept way too little because of noise. And whatever cleaning products were used before I arrived smelled so strong and awful. I aired out the room as well as I could, but still had to wash all my clothes when I got home -- even the ones that never left my bag -- because they smelled so much like the cleaner. The space was clean, but the smell was way too perfume-y. Positives: The staff was nice, check-in was easy, parking was convenient.

The staff was friendly. Check in was painless. We stayed in room 8. Room was clean. We got parking right in front our room. There are no dishes provided, so if you plan on cooking, bring your own. Wasn’t an issue for us. We just used the microwave to warm up leftovers. Wasn’t expecting our room to be cleaned after the night. The only complaints: The toilet is a little small from what we’re used to and the surrounding area is a little sketchy. Was overall pretty surprised and happy with our stay.

I really like staying in a small hotel that has a parking lot right there with only one level no escalators or elevators. No problem, finding parking in no charge for the parking. The staff is very friendly. You have to realise it is a small room and small bathroom. The only thing I wish were different as they don’t have smart TVs.

Nordic Inn is not in the greatest area, but I felt safe there. The room was clean and well cared for with up to date furnishings. I would stay there again. Convenient to Multnomah Falls.

This is the best refurbished motel we have ever stayed in. Our room was #18. Everything was there except breakfast, but there is an Elmer's nearby. The room is standard size )it may seem a little small), but it comes with coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer plus shampoo, iron and board, the list goes on and on. Very nicely appointed room that was squeaky clean. The grounds were very well taken care of. We were even able to plug in our EV using the 110V socket in the room because of the old time design. For some reason the shower curtain was missing in our bathroom. Otherwise, it was perfect. The neighborhood was safe to us, and there was no street noise, only the slight, occasional whine of an airplane. There are several ethnic and American cuisine restaurants nearby as well as a Costco within about a mile. This place was almost perfect.

There was nothing great or terrible about this place. It seemed clean, the beds were comfortable and the property in general seemed like it was in good shape. The person who checked me on was friendly I would have expected to pay less for this place but it did the job.

Great Inn, but the please around it were a little suspect (something that's not in their control).

The only complaint I had was that there was no ice bucket available in our room, and the burner on light was on when we walked into the room and did not turn off at all. I also recommend updating the information to state there is a different deposit amount required if paying with debit card instead of credit cards.

I never even got a room key because when I was checking in I was told they do not allow pets & there are no exceptions! I have a service animal with legal documentation and registration, they didn’t even look at that. They just said no exceptions!

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Overall it was well worth the price we paid. I didn't expect anything fancy and it wasn't, it did the job for a few day visit. The area was not great but I didn't feel unsafe, I even walked down the street for tacos.
