2nd time to stay. One lift out of order last time due to construction which was ok. This tome Lift still out indefinitely. Being a residential block the lift can take quite a while to come. 15 mins. Not like altering but a but annoying when carry bags or just popping to reception. Our Air con was ridiculously loud in room and Wi Fi not connecting. Went to reception and very helpful. Changed rooms straight away. Fridge in new room wouldn't close because the ice in freezer was amazing and stopping door closing. Again, fixed by lovely guy who chipped away enough ice to close door. Poor housekeeping there, should be check after every guest. Great location and close to food and shops and activities and transport. Parked in uncover garage. Interesting location to find and door also wasn't working. But all fixable problems. Would stay again once 3 lifts in use.

Only 1 elevator available. The hotel is in Thai area, very close to everything 10 min to walk to Chinatown

Aging facility. The lift being out of action meant it was a long wait to get the one elevator (servicing about 20 floors) to enter or exit the hotel. We got no information about hotel facilities despite a 4 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. I only found out there may be a pool and or gym from reviewing the photos before writing this review. Lovato was ok though, near a train and World Square

Hotel location great. Parking ok. Tricky to find spot but nothing we couldn't handle. Cheaper if u pay when booking room. Staff very helpful. Bathrooms dated but ok. Power point for Kettle only in bathroom a bit dodgy. Not sure where u would plug the toaster in??? TV on low table . Construction happening in pool area so no pool and only one lift working. All over comfortable stay. Will stay again.

The receptionist was lovely and courteous. Just a couple of minor issues, "it was difficult to understand him due to he's accent and softly spoken voice. There was some confusion even after requests to repeat. He was very well dressed but the other two staff were untidy. Checkout staff was very well spoken and very well dressed. There's a notice about leaving the place clean but the cups on arrival were dirty with coffee/tea rings. Overall a good stay, rooms are spacious, central location. Good value for money.

The lift seemed to be a constant source of confusion, with 2 sets of buttons for 3 lift wells where 1 lift wasnt in action. Overall the room was pleasant and clean. The pool though was not: no plade to put your change of clothes, extremely dark, cold and murky. The stairs and tiles were very slippery when wet, not very safe at all. Pool was not available for half my stay, only when I was leaving I learnt I could have used the pool at the sister hotel. Other than that everything else was good, hope that the maintenance on the roof includes adding a lot more chairs so people can put their towels.

The location is convenient to access downtown. The pictures overstate what the rooms really look like. The view is of other apartments with peoples laundry hanging out. The rooms we stayed in were tired and need updating. One of the rooms had mold in the shower.

Generous sized 2 bedroom apartment. Clean and well equipped. Close to public transport. Only 1 lift working for higher levels due to maintenance which was a little inconvenient.

Only a single lift operating. Plaster cracks throughout the room, gaps in tiles, poor touch up paint work. Room was clean and comfortable enough but run down.

The room was good, unfortunately the showers were either really hot or freezing cold and the shower head wouldn’t stay up. Perfect location, walking distance to train and great restaurants. Make sure you pack some ear plugs for night time so you can sleep.

My daughter and I stayed for 7 nights at Oaks castlereagh. We had a quite small room on 25. floor, with the greatest view and everything we needed. It was even catered for by housekeeping everyday, who took out the trash and stocked us up on shampoo, towels and so on. Only two negative things about the hotel is, that the escalator seemed quite unsafe. One of three escalators was out of work the whole time we were there, so only one escalator went up to the 25. floor where our room was. The pool was okay, but the room where the pool was wasnt the cleanest and the painting of the roof was falling off. It could definitely need a renovation. They were however renovating on that floor while we where there, so maybe they will also renovate the pool room. Overall we had a great stay - the location of the hotel is great, close to light rail, train and walking distance to many places in Sydney.

Apartment was very dark and dingy, with no fresh air, and it smelt stale. The air conditioning also smelt funny. A very tired apartment that needs a spruce up. Also the main shower sounded like you were in a jet plane.

The Oaks is close to Central Station and many shopping, eating and entertainment locations. There were some elevator renovations happening that delayed access to and from my floor, but not too inconveniencing.

Hi , I don’t normally write reviews - but thought others should know about our negative experience. -Photos of the property were not accurate and the website was photos were mis - leading -One lift was out and wait time was regularly 7-12 minutes -The property interior needs a good cleaning -The room smelt damp when we opened up for the first time -It was a very hot day in Sydney, but even at night the A/C could not cool the rooms enough -The TV remote did not work -The toilet system was continuously running into the pan overnight , and I thought we had a leak. - I should have read other reviews with similar complaints - We ended up checking out - but Expedia will refund us -At the front desk Jina was very helpful, when we explained our problems - and was supportive. My closing point is Expedia needs to check the photos and information being presented is accurate. We appreciated the refund

Lovely spacious apartment with very well equipped kitchen although we mainly ate out. Washing machine, dryer and iron were a useful addition. Central location, easy for trams, trains and walking to Central Quays, Sydney Opera House, etc. Very comfortable beds. Highly recommend- in fact we are returning next week after visiting Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley!

The room was clean but had a terrible smell wafting from the drains. The pool area had peeling paint all over the ceiling and only 2 seats it did not feel like you wanted to have a swim at all very disappointed. Towards the end of our stay only 1 of the lifts we’re working.

Work ongoing upgrading one of the two lifts which causes delays however very well located to Central Station, Thai and China town districts, Capitol Theatre. Comfortable, clean, handy, enjoyable.

Air con wasn’t working on arrival, however when we called reception to let them know, they sent someone up and it was repaired within an hour. Other than that really good stay with a nice, clean room. Really good location in the heart of Sydney.

Our stay at the Oaks with our adult son was commendable. Five stars for cleanliness and the apartment was huge. Every interaction with a Oaks staff member was friendly and welcoming. The location could not get any better being in the city, especially for public transport. Having a Coles and Liquorland approximately 100m away under World Square made purchasing food and essentials very economical.
