Friendly hotel right beside the old city

Hotel location and general atmosphere was great! Room was also pretty good size and comfortable. But the fact that the hotel offers on small tapas plates or jars of food is strange. The breakfast was also very limited for a 4 star hotel. It was just 2 pieces of cheese, a piece of ham and then pastries and one boiled egg. I would expect more and the fact that you can’t really have a real dinner is annoying especially when you want to just chill at the hotel. They siggested we can order Uber eats but would have to eat in our room…..although they also agreed that the restaurant does not serve real dinner.

Lovely place and great location, help with finding dinner on a Sunday night and was able to book a massage - what a highlight of our trip in southern France!

The stay at the chateau was lovely, staff friendly and the relaxing massage was top-notch. Recommended if you want to visit Carcassonne, everything is walking distance.

Such a lovely hotel a few steps from entrance to the castle with incredible views. The staff was attentive and helpful. We had a wonderful massage and enjoyed the spa amenities. A great getaway!

Stunning location, excellent service. No restaurant facility so a few light bites only…..otherwise faultless.

Lovely hotel next to the historic walls of the town, easy walk to find the sights and nice spots to eat and drink.
Nice pool too.

Outstanding location, amenities and service. Carcassone is amazing, but it’s busy with tourists so we were VERY glad we didn’t stay in the walled city itself. This is a close as you can get and still have a quiet, refined place to crash after wandering around the amazing historic location. Taxi service is spotty at best from the train station so have the hotel reserve one to pick you up if taking the train. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location with a view of the walls of the city. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast on the terrace.

We had a great trip and loved the hotel. The pool area and bar are fantastic. The staff were great and the hotel dog is beautiful. The only thing that let it down slightly was the finishing touches in the rooms. Of the four drawers on the dressing table in our room, 3 of the handles were broken- a check on these kind of things would elevate the score. We would come back and the placement of the hotel is great and gives you such quick access to the history of Carcassonne.

Beautiful hotel within a few mins walk to medieval Carcassonne - best location ever.
Lovely room, not sure we liked the glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom (Room 2), family room. Even with the blind down, it was somewhat see through.
A/C was good but v loud!!

This was a very nice property. Bedrooms were a little on the small side but definitely adequate. Management was extremely helpful. Staff at breakfast time seemed a little disorganized at times or perhaps there were just not enough of them. Would go there again.

The staff was unbelievably friendly, helpful and sweet in every way. Ursula made dinner reservations for us and the next day waited in us hand and foot at a dumpy breakfast. We cannot recommend this place more highly!

Right across the street from the castle, quiet, everyone was very nice and helpful. We would stay there again.

Great situation for visiting the medieval city. Comfortable and small enough to give a more personal service from the friendly staff.

This hotel is fantastic. Front desk clerks are the friendliest I have encountered in Europe. It is across the street from the main entrance to the old walled city, so the location is ideal. There are well landscaped grounds and a pool area and it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful considering how close it is to the crowds entering the historic city.
There is a closet with clothes hangers, but my only negative thing to say is there is no iron or ironing board (instead they offer next-day laundry service). There is a coffee maker with coffee packs and sugar (I didn’t see any tea bags but I had my own). There is no creamer in the room but a small container of milk is available at the lobby bar for free. The room has air conditioning, but sadly no refrigerator (my only other negative). There is a huge window separating the sink and bathtub from the main room. A blind can be lowered, but with the bright bathroom lights it is still see-through. I was alone so it was fine, but if you are traveling with someone you should be aware of this. The shower (separate from the bathtub) and toilet did have a sliding door to close them off from the rest of the sink area for more privacy.
The room décor is elegant, as is the entire hotel. With the lush grounds it has the feel of a country villa. If I ever return to Carcassonne, I will definitely stay here.

Amazing Stew. Great service. Helpful friendly desk people.

Hotel was very nice and rooms was great with small patio to relax overlooking pool. The location of hotel is outstanding to visit the medieval city. But what makes the hotel is staff. I can’t say how fantastic everyone was that we interacted with. We would come back just to have this level of service and friendliness on vacation. Also having the dogs overseeing everything was a very nice treat 😁 The owners have done a great job with this staff and hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This is a great hotel to visit La Cité de Carcassonne and only 10 min walk into the walled city
The hotel breakfast was lovely too. On the down side it’s a good 20 min walk to the main town and shops and the hotel does not have a restaurant only a bar and very basic meals in jars they heat up so best to walk and eat in the old city area. Pool was lovely but we asked to book the spa and now called us back to book it. Seems to lack overall management on a daily basis which meant service wasn’t as good as I’d expect for a hotel in this price range. Overall a great location though

I absolutely adored this hotel. The location is right across from the château, and the vibe is laid back and spa-like. Even though our room was really tight for 2 adults and a teen and 2 large suitcases, the ambiance and attention to detail made it worthwhile for our one-night stay. Check-in was easy and the service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty and there were 2 sweet dogs to pet. Our room was very clean and the AC was a nice relief to the hot summer day. We didn't use the pool but it was lovely. The photos on hotels.com don't do this place justice.
