Great cottage with a fireplace. Animals sightings a big plus. Great location.

Excellent communication with the cottage staff. We got to check in a bit earlier. Very friendly staff and cozy cottage. It has everything we need for a two night stay. Just step away from the visitor center, yet we were like in the wildness with wombat and wallaby and birds visiting. Excellent value for the price.

Very cozy cabin, even with very chilly weather outside. A great spot for exploring the Cradle Mountains footpaths.

The property was so cosy and quiet. Reception was so helpful. Our cabin had everything we needed. Loved how the windows framed the rainforest outlook.

Stayed in the telopea spa. Fantastic bathroom view to the surrounding bush and pandamelons. Kitchen very well equipped with even foil and food wrap for hiking. Communications from the accommodation was very good, especially as we were staying just after a major storm event

Wonderful experience to spend my holiday here.

Awesome place to stay at a great price. Absolute winner!

Everything we needed. Great to arrive to the fire going for us. Beds comfortable, very clean cabin and great communication before arriving. 2 night stay was good for us. Right across the road was the shuttle bus to Dove lake. We enjoyed a pizza at Peppers for lunch and then we went to Cradle Mt Hotel for dinner. Great food.

A very pleasant stay for our family. The team of staff here is a group of wonderful people.
And we had the great experience of coming so close with Charli, the “resident wombat” here & also a few pademelons right infront of our cottage.
This will be our accomodation again should we be travelling back here to the Cradle Mountains in future.

Cradle Highlander cabins are truly breathtaking!! As soon as you drive into the driveway, it feels like a magical place. The staff were super lovely and very helpful, the cabin we stayed in was just gorgeous and I was genuinely sad to leave. The fire was lit, heaters in the bedrooms were on on our arrival and the setting was cosy and warm. I cannot recommend staying here any more highly and I look forward to coming back another time for a longer stay!

Highlanders (Woodsmoke cabin) was perfect!
It is a credit to the cleaners how spotlessly clean the cabins are always presented.
The pot belly fire was wonderful and the cabin was cosy, warm and comfortable.
The Cradle Mountain National Park is amazing and using the bus shuttle into the National Park was easy. $15 pp for 3 days and it’s a 5 - 8 min walk from Highlanders.
We did so many beautiful walks.
It doesn’t matter if is sunny, raining, or snowing this is a very special part of the world and we never get tired of visiting paradise!
Thank you Rachael and team for making our stay so perfect in every way.
We were lucky enough again to have native visitors to our cabin porch.
Many birds - yellow parrot, black currawongs, a wallaby and a pademelon.
Cheers

Within walking distance of the Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Centre the Highlander is ideally situated to explore Cradle Mountain. We did not need to use our car for the three days we were on the mountain. The timber cabin is cosy with great wood heater, comfortable bed, efficient kitchen and bench space. Surrounded by beautiful wilderness the cabin is a private and safe hideaway.

This place was amazing. Best cabin we have stayed in. The cabin was clean and had all we needed to make a great stay. It is walking distance to the visitors centre, from there you can catch shuttle bus to all the sites in the park. Just need to bring your own food for your stay, all the kitchen utensils are provided. 10/10 from us.

Unique little place away from the fast pace life
that we live in, interaction with nature and surrounds was beautiful
The chalet was set amongst a beautiful habitat and was very spacious and cosy
Just loved our few days here

Fantastic stay in a character filled warm cabin. Thoughtfully fitted out with everything needed. Great location just opposite the NP info Centre and bus terminal and yet so quiet. Friendly and kind staff.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Buttongrass Cabin. The location of Highlanders was great. Super close to the park visitor centre and also the shuttle bus plus was very close to Devils at Cradle which I think is a must to visit when visiting Cradle Mountain . Our cabin was lovely, very clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was chilly when we visited so the fire was a lovely addition and the full kitchen allowed us to prepare all our meals. Highlanders was an oasis, very quiet and we were lucky to see a wombat and a few wallabies near our cabin. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

A most cosy and clean place in paradise.

Wonderful rustic cottage with open fire all set to go. Great setting and close to buses. Great facilities. Only negative severe restrictions on use of quite functional wifi with access cutting out after 3 hours despite alleged 2GB allocation

It was a lovely cabin with good facilities. Nice spa bath and the slow combustion heating was nice. A great base to come home and relax after a day walking at Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake. The resident wallabies and the birds were outside of our cabin, and we saw a wombat crossing the road.

Self contained cabins with cooking facilities and a bbq area too.

So much character…..we absolutely loved our stay at Highlanders. Super friendly team who did everything to make our stay a great experience. Cabin was so warm and cozy, surrounded by beautiful bush, very clean and tidy. Native wildlife at our door which the kids were thrilled about. Ideally located opposite the tourist center for easy access to the shuttle buses into Cradle Mountain. Would definitely recommend highly!

He property a very warm feeling.

Brilliant location, wildlife to the door. Hut was clean and the log fire brilliant

Beautiful secluded cabin, immaculately maintained with so many kitchen accessories that meant we were full self contained and enjoyed family meals together. High quality bedding, lovely thick doonas, the fire was lit for us before we arrived and bedroom heaters on. Firewood roped up frequently (I think everyday). Staff were so helpful and friendly. We’ve stayed at Peppers before and preferred the Highlanders for its seclusio, we felt like we were in our own little sanctuary. Peppers is ok if you don’t mind the business and hustle and bustle. But this place was just gorgeous and literally across the road (with bush in between) the Visitir’s Centre.

Value for money, its a must winter getaway location!
