The staff were very welcoming however the bed was the worst I had slept in for a very long time. The mattress was lumpy and I woke with a very sore back. We paid for a double room, whilst not pricey also more expensive than local airbnbs so at bear minimum I would have expected a double bed and not 2 singles pushed together with a big lump down the middle!

The hotel restaurant was excellent. Shower was very nice. Other restaurants and shopping near by.
4.3
Comfortable stay with friendly service.
4.3
Very comfortable and clean room. Friendly and efficient staff - though rushed off their feet, serving a varied range of meals for our table of seven was accomplished with a welcoming attitude.
4.3
Enjoyable stay!

Beautiful country inn. Excellent staff. Right on the Cotswold Way. Room was terrific. Thank you for helping us relax on our journey to Bath.

Great room and food was brilliant

Had a lovely overnight stay staff were extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble room beautifully decorated. Would stay again. Food was also very good.
4.3
Uncomfortable bed that wasn’t a double but 2 singles pushed together. There was also a sewage smell coming from the bathroom of room 15 that I was in. The corridors to the room was filthy with rubbish and discarded furniture left around.
I never had a call about my experience even after requesting one, hence my feedback.
4.3
Great location. No complaints
4.3
Nicely decorated room, comfortable bed. Pillows too firm but that's just personal taste. Good breakfast. Didn't have dinner but restaurant looked nice. Our second stay here and will come again.
4.3
Nice room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was substantial but I wasn't find if the sausage (which seemed undercooked) or the over processed 'bubble and squeek'. Cosy bar area.

Wonderful friendly staff. So healthful. Excellent vegan food. The room was cozy, comfortable and very clean. Loved the place.
4.3
Easy check-in and check-out, great food in the restaurant, room very clean and bathroom was excellent.

Unfortunately had no sleep due to a very uncomfortable and small 4 poster bed! Staff friendly and helpful, place very clean, breakfast good.
Also we struggled to find anywhere to park when we arrived and had to move the car later at night.
4.3
Good location and facilities

Continental breakfast was included in the price, but for £95. We did expect more than a cup of coffee, glass of juice, small packet of cereal and two pieces of toast with small portion of marmalade. No refills for drinks, no fruit of any description, yogurt, pastries etc. Disappointing.
4.3
Nice helpful staff, parking is via the main town carpark which is just 100m up the road. No hot water during my stay due to a boiler issue but the electric shower was working. A little tired and in need of a bit of a revamp but overall a decent place to stay for a night

We selected our stay at The Swan based on proximity to a wedding we were attending and given the price we weren't expecting great things...well we were very pleasantly surprised. The building is a very well maintained old coaching house with lots of quirky rooms and original features. The interior is modern but still very much in keeping with the age of the building. Check in was speedy and the staff member offered to carry our luggage to our room. The room itself number 16 is at the front of the building. It is very attractively styled with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The en suite is modern, clean and well kitted out. The shower is easy to use, spacious and so nice that we now want one just like it at home! We had an amazing home made burger for our evening meal served with proper chips just like my Mum made. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast service was difficult for the staff as they were one person down, but my husband and I would still highly recommend it. The food was excellent quality, well cooked and plentiful. The service was still speedy without being rushed and friendly. In addition I would like to commend the staff, a family came in looking to eat without a reservation after first apologising the manager took pity on the family when their disabled daughter had a melt down and he offered to serve them whilst explaining that it may take a little while. He was very patient with their daughter. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

The Swan is a lovely hotel in Wotton under Edge. We liked our room very much and ate in the restaurant which was very good. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this establishment.

A really enjoyable stay at The Swan Hotel. The room and ensuite were extremely clean. There was a good choice of hot drinks to make in the room as well as bottled water. The evening meal was superb, as was the breakfast. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful building and clean and comfortable rooms. Meals, breakfasts and dinner, were well cooked and tasty and service was prompt and friendly. We would visit again.

The Swan is a family run hotel / restaurant / pub. Its well managed and evidently popular with walkers and dog owners. The food was good and was also good value (as was the wine). The rooms were well maintained and quiet with a lovely outlook. The service was always good even though it was busy. Its in a great location at the heart of historic Wotton. Parking is not clear

Staff were lovely & very helpful. Old property with lovely character but some very wonky floors so take care especially in heels.
Location was delightful.
We stayed on a Saturday for a nearby wedding, it was noisy at midnight for about half an hr as the pub opposite closed.
Breakfast was delicious!

Stayed at The Swan whilst walking the Cotswold Way. Very well placed in the heart of Wotton under Edge. Very friendly check in. The room was very big and the shower was excellent. We ate in the pub restaurant in the evening and the food was good and very reasonably priced. Thank you, Swan Hotel
4.3
Beautiful room at the top of the pub. However, apart from the young man on reception when we arrived who was very helpful, everyone else was fairly rude as if it was all too much to deal with us.
4.3
Hotel was very nice. Room and bed comfortable. Staff very helpful. Only problem was the Shower was very confusing to operate but once handled was ok.
4.3
Right on the Cotswold Way. Wotton-under-Edge is a cool village. Lots of shops, lots of options for dining. The food at the Swan was first-rate pub fare. And the cinema is right next door.
4.3
Lovely clean room, friendly staff, food available on site, home cooked and reasonably priced.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room is extremely clean and very spacious, especially the bathroom, and the room has everything we need for a comfortable stay. Check-in was very efficient, even though we arrived about an hour early. We had an evening meal and the staff were lovely, as was the food. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Lovely town hotel in the middle.Breakfast not amazing for the price. Rooms lovely but put heating on as they are cold.
Lovely helpful staff
4.3
Lovely hotel - thoroughly recommended
. Staff were very good and attentive
4.3
Great location for Cotswold Way and good value for money.
4.3
Our room was a long climb to the top of the building. There was no wifi in the room, but the view was great. It is in a nice and central location in the village.
4.3
A clean, comfortable hotel. Breakfast is well worth having - value for money with efficient service. If dining in at night, the roast is probably the best value meal. Enjoyed our stay immensely. The main street is handy without being obtrusive; easy walk to the shops. The local cinema is practically next-door and worth a visit as the seats are comfortable and it's a change from the more commercial venues.
There were only two issues: Wi-Fi was woeful in our room, and there was a noisy function below us on the Friday night that went on until nearly 1 a.m.. (This may have been an anomaly, as Saturday night was quiet).
4.3
Lovely staff and upgraded our room on arrival.
4.3
Floors and bed were not level.
4.3
Attractive because close to Cotswolds Way for walking and next to an independent cinema.
