This charming and delightful beachfront cottage offers amazing Gulf of Mexico views and a private boardwalk leading to the white sandy beach! A Sea Of Sand & Stars has an excellent Gulf Beaches location close to Island shops, restaurants, nightlife, and the St. George Island Lighthouse Museum!
The exterior of this property features a private boardwalk, an outdoor shower, and a park-style grill. A covered entryway provides access to the first floor, featuring a main bedroom with a flatscreen TV, a jetted tub, and a private deck overlooking the sea. The second main bedroom with a flatscreen TV is also on this floor. The second floor offers an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with colorful coastal decor and amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. There is plenty of comfortable seating, a flatscreen TV, and French doors and windows opening to the covered deck. The queen sleeper sofa in the living area provides additional sleeping options for your group. There is plenty of room for your crew at mealtime at the dining table and bar/counter that separates the kitchen from the living area. This galley kitchen is equipped with everything you need for beachside feast preparation! There is a sleeping nook in the upstairs open loft with two beds and a flatscreen TV. A perfect vacation, perfect home and perfect location with a perfect ocean view . We had a wonderful time with our dogs. They loved their walks on the beach . Will definitely be back and highly recommended this comfortable home within walking distance to all restaurants and shops in St. George Island. Also very quiet and peaceful and loved watching the crabs, birds , and the ocean waves as we sat on the uncrowded beach. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

- house is beach front, easy stroll to quiet/non-crowded beach
- convenient walk to town, restaurants, grocery, ice cream
- house is pet friendly but no easy location for pets to bathroom (no grass)
- no walkway from driveway to back of house, so large items like coolers/paddleboards/beach stuff have to be lugged upstairs and through the house OR down stairs through the sand beside the house— but no stairs back up, so you have to lift it up to the boardwalk in back.
- design of house is such that whoever is sleeping in the loft or on pullout sofa is automatically awake when anyone goes into the kitchen— don’t put your teenagers in the loft! Dishwasher sounds like a freight train (Run it during the daytime).
- we had some issues with cleanliness
House could use an update but for what we paid, it was nice to be beach front and convenient to town.
We did enjoy our stay, despite the home’s shortcomings.
- house elevated- so bedrooms on first level (which is upstairs from beach level), living room on 2nd level (two levels up from beach). No easy way to main level except up 2 flights of stairs every time you come and go, so not good for those with limited mobility!
- Kitchen stocked with bare minimum. Bring salt/pepper/nonstick spray, spices, etc if you expect to cook. No large frying pan, no cookie sheet. There are pizza pans, small pans, a stock pot and small pots.

The property was lovely, with plenty of space for us and our dog. The outdoor shower and patios provided easy access to the beach, and the house boasted a beautiful view. Would definitely stay again.

I will start with the island. It is slow paced and nothing like the other FL. tourist beaches. As you enter the island there is a Piggly Wiggly grocery store with gas. Next door is a liquor store. The grocery store has a full stock of items and a great but small meat and seafood section. We bought shrimp and fish , both fresh.
2 minutes later you are at the house. The house is simlpe with 2 bedrooms 1st floor , with king bed master in back looking at beach. Both beds were great, with very good bedding. Going up the narrow tiled stairs brings you to a dining, kitchen and sitting area, with a view of the beach. In front of kitchen are the stairs for loft and 2 beds.
The kitchen has the utensils, pots , pans and plates for eating in. No condiments or seasonings buy your own.
Both levels have a deck connected with stairs. The 1st floor deck has stairs leading to the beach.
The inside stairs are tiled, thus we did not want our 13yr old 70lb dog slipping on them. We had him go up and down from the outside. He had no issues with wood stairs.
My only recommendation is to install a gate at stairs leading to beach to keep dogs on the deck. We just put one of the lounge chairs there to block stairs.
From the home you can walk to a beach restaurant and Paddys raw bar on the bay side.
A/C worked great as too did the WiFi

This location was great if you have kids along on vacation. Very central to things so my teenager could roam and hang out very nearby at the basketball court or BJ’s pizza. My younger kiddo enjoyed the playground, arcade, and lighthouse and shops and ice cream nearby. Adults enjoyed walking to dinner and for morning coffee or a run to the store. Also very close to the bridge for going to Apalachicola. The beach access is great and easy. The condo was well worn however, definitely more so than many others appear to be at the same location. The refrigerator handle was broken which was very annoying and the dishwasher won’t shut unless you slam it. The biggest problem was several roaches were seen in the kitchen which was unacceptable to me. It needs to be exterminated regularly. The hose needs a nozzle as well. My frustration with the unit was the cost for the upkeep. It was priced very high and I expected a cleaner, more well kept place for that premium. The beds were comfortable and the layout was nice. I would consider this condo again if some maintenance, updating and extermination were caught up. Otherwise, I would rent nearby at another unit. The access was very easy for check-in and out. Again, tons of potential but somewhat disappointing.

The house, the location, and the views were lovely! The stairs had my calves killing me by the end so if you can’t navigate climbing stairs this isn’t for you! I had read several negative reviews about Vacasa before our visit and was very worried. However, we had the best experience possible. The only problem we had was our jets in the tub would not turn off. We called to report and maintenance was there promptly even though it was July 4th! Thank y’all for a great week!

Our beach house stay was exactly what we needed and the house accommodated well- comfortable bed, full kitchen and a great living area to watch shows after a full day of being outdoors.

After staying at a different location for 3 years (by a different property manager), we had it with the garbage mattresses. This house has great mattresses, it was clean and the location was great. Would definitely like to stay here again - although I see that the published cost for the week has increased by 50% for 2022. Other property managers costs that are published have not increased this much - so this may influence our decision...

A Sea of Sand and Stars is a great house. It is located a block from the lighthouse so we could walk to most stores and restaurants. The house is well maintained and clean. Resort Vacation Properties is a great company to work with. I have booked with them many times and have always found their employees to be knowledgeable, friendly and good communicators. Highly recommended!

We so enjoyed our stay at A Sea of Sand and Stars! The locations couldn`t have been better - right on the beach and we were close enough to walk to dinner every night! The kitchen is well stocked if you choose to eat in/cook. Beds were very comfy and the views of the beach and ocean couldn`t have been better. If you are bringing children and/or pets you should know that the deck does not have a gate on it - I noticed this in the pictures online and tossed one in the car at the last minute so that our dogs could enjoy the deck with us without concern for them running off. - Anonymous U , Posted: 05/25/2022

Loved the house, view was amazing, beds and linens were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, short walk to the lighthouse park, our dog enjoyed it, Blue Parrot was close by, great place to eat. Location was central to everything that you need. The only thing that I would change is the park style grill, it really needs to be a weber or something like that. Would definitely stay here again. Couldn't have asked for a better location - right on the beach and we could walk to dinner several nights. Loved watching the waves while sipping morning coffee on the deck. This unit does not have a gate on the deck stairs so if you have pets or babies/toddlers you will want to bring one or rent one. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Location, comfortable beds, tile throughout, well-stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, extra towels
Cons: Could be cleaner (mold on shower curtain, dirt in corners of floors, sand in sheets, a few bugs, property needs to be cleaned up, remotes needed batteries, ROKU is nonfunctional, cabinets and fixtures in bath and kitchen need upgraded. No deal breakers but we prefer not to have to clean on arrival.

The house was beautiful and just steps to the beach. This house has a direct boardwalk out to the beach. It is 3 stories with 2 bedrooms on the 1st, living room and kitchen on the 2nd and extra bedroom on the 3rd. It was very clean and check in was easy. We will definitely be staying here again.
