Had a really good attention to detail all the amenities you expect and some I didn’t expect

Rooms are good for what they are, but the temperature of the rooms are ridiculous! I stayed in November, i have both windows open, two fans on and i still woke up and thermostat said it was 28 degrees. Did not sleep at all and checked out early.

Room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke with a window that barely opened.
Over 70 stairs to my room with no lift, no fun with my disability.

The room was very clean & stylish!
Quite warm, with the windows open the seagulls can be quite a noisy bunch but no fault of the hotels.
Very comfortable room & great service.

Absolutely beautiful hotel the staff was all very polite and welcoming me and my husband both loved the room very modern decor it was very clean and smelt lovely on arrival the spa bath in the room was perfect we stayed the Easter weekend we also had food and drinks downstairs in the restaurant the food was delicious and a fantastic range of drinks and cocktails we will definitely be returning again thank you for a fantastic stay

Lovely warm greeting on arrival with the Portuguese female in reception. Room was more than comfortable enough, great location for work. No mornjng breakfast facilities which was a shame but you could order continental to be delivered to your room the night before. Easy access to the rooms. I would have liked a microwave as part of the kitchenette, just a toaster and kettle. Overall I had a very comfortable stay and would stay again.

The property was very clean, modern and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay, the room had everything we needed and it was comfortable. My only negative was the jacuzzi bath, the bath itself was clean but when you turned on the jets loads of black stuff come flying out so I'm guessing the jets never get cleaned and are full of mould, skin, oils etc so i would never use one of those again but my overall experience was lovely just stick to the gorgeous shower or i guess don't turn on the jets in the bath.

Nice comfy room and great location with free car parking

Only had one towel in room for two people, mentioned this to reception multiple times before getting a second towel.
Also, tea and coffee provided in room but with only enough milk for 3/4 cups of tea/coffee and milk not replenished by housekeeping (had to buy our own milk).
Continental breakfast was a bit disappointing and breakfast could be served in the restaurant or in the morning instead of being left/delivered to room the night before.
The room and hotel are really nice and the restaurant /bar is exceptional and we enjoyed our stay. Despite these little things, we will be back soon. Thank you.

The staff were helpful in getting us checked in, there was a google wallet pass provided to help if you used the restaurant, the room (6) was modern and clean ,with good facilities, (fridge, kettle, toaster), a good sized double bed and a great shower. However, the room temperature was unbearably hot. The thermostat showed 28 degrees most of the time, with the radiators off and both windows open as far as they would open, 10degrees outside and with a tower fan running it still proved impossible to cool the room. It felt hospital type hot and even sleeping with no covers on the bed it was still uncomfortable. Additionally, the green emergency lighting which was on all of the time in the room was so bright as to provide almost a night light and so it was not possible to get fully dark in the room for sleeping.
We loved the facilities of the room but without a way to get hot air out and cool air into the room we cannot envisage ever staying at the Town house again,

Great hotel and facilities.

The staff were really friendly and approachable.
The rooms weren’t as clean as I would have liked.
However, the decor was really really nice.
It was quite loud due to it being a Saturday so when people were coming in and out of the bar it was noisy. This didn’t bother us too much but worth knowing if you are a light sleeper, etc.
the breakfast was ok, but not really worth the extra money for it.

A clean large comfortable room with a jacuzzi including a well appointed bathroom. There us a small kitchenette. Modern decor throughout. All in all an enjoyable stay. We booked the restaurant boxing night. Had a lovely private booth. The food was excellent. Highly recommend this place.

The room was lovely. Nice size. A little kitchenette with fridge had it been a longer stay. Decor was nice. A nice surprise as we didn't know they did rooms. We are often there to visit family . Highly recommend this place

Probably the worst stay at a hotel I have ever had. The thermostat showed the room temperature at 28 degrees throughout. We could sleep and were sick through the night due to heat. The staff simply told us all rooms are the same and we should ask for additional fans, so no real concern for us. Surrounding area is rough, as is the car park. Food also below par. Would not recommend.

This is a lovely suite would use again in summer not winter to avoid dark nights in relation to location of car park the property is exceptionally maintained

We stayed for one night prior to visiting the local Safari Zoo and we were impressed from the moment we arrived. Check in was quick and easy and the room was amazing; large and roomy with quality furniture and even a spa bath in the bedroom! The bathroom was spacious with a large waterfall shower enclosure.
All in all, no complaints at all and if we are ever in the area again, we'll certainly be staying here!

Hotel has lots stairs to get to rooms
Rooms ok but very hot even with fan on and window open
Local area run down many disused shops
But old coop shop a Wetherspoons so a bonus cheap beer and food and only just down the road also has hotel rooms
Not a lot going on in barrow it’s very run down

We were greeted with a smile by staff on arrival, the room was very clean and spacious, parking was free after 3pm until 8am the next day, which was good because we were there to spend time in the lakes not stay in the room all day

Highly recommended. Would be more than happy to stay again.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel! Check in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and the room was very clean. We stayed in the spa bath room and it was very comfortable. Food and service in the restaurant on the night time was very good, can’t remember the name of our waitress but all staff service was lovely.
Check out was quick and easy the following day.
Only small problem was the noise on the night time around the hotel as it was near bars, but settled down later on.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I had a really mixed experience with my stay here. The room was lovely and the location was good. A lot of care had been taken decorating the rooms and they had a lovely feel to them. However, there was no mirror in the bedroom, just one in the bathroom. This made drying and styling our hair a bit annoying and we couldn’t use the mirror if one of us was in the bathroom. There was definitely room for a mirror in the room and I think this small change would make a big difference.
My main issue with the room though was the temperature. On the temperature gauge on the wall it said 27°C and we couldn’t seem to change it. The room was so roasting that we woke up many times in the night absolutely dripping with sweat. As two friends sharing, we couldn’t just get naked either. We opened the window and this did nothing in way of cooling the room
as it was so small, but then the room was very loud with the noise of drunk people on the street. Finally, we were woken up by our room neighbours at around 1am and there was a really loud male voice who sounded from the conversation to be a male member of staff who had walked them to their room?
The main issue however was the temperature and meant we got a terrible night’s sleep. Such a shame as I would have definitely given a much more positive review if we’d been able to sleep at all, as the decor and furnishings were lovely!
2.5
The room was excellent, spacious, modern with a king size bed, great shower and facilities. The only downside was 3 sets of stairs to our room and no lift!
The food in the Restaurant was very good too.
