It has a relaxing, off the beaten track feel that is perfect for those who want to be away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to easily access all what Grenada has to offer. It is a 15-minute drive from Maurice Bishop airport and the famous Grand Anse Beach which offers soft sands and a perfect place to swim in the ocean. The capital St George’s is also only a short drive away and there are a large array of shops, restaurants and bars close by.
Egmont offers stunning views surrounded by nature and features its own small beach. Mont View is a short 10-minute walk away from the Phare Bleu Marina – a great location with its own bar, restaurant, swimming pool, mini market, and beach. We also have a travel cot for young children.

Pool, bathrooms, utility room, views and location excellent but rest of Villa tired looking. Sunloungers and cushions need updating. There is no option for dining outside so breakfast and suppers had to be taken inside.
Housekeeper and Shelize very efficient. Also check with the owners before booking that the building works next door have finished.

The family and I had a great time. The property descriptions were exactly as advertised. Will book this property again.

We stayed for 8 nights. The property can use some updates but for the price it is amazing. The breeze on the balcony and in the yard was spectacular. The house is very warm but the bedrooms all have AC that makes sleeping easy. I would not recommend getting a vehicle but hire a driver for your needs. I returned our car after getting 2 flats on day one. Would recommend the house for a group.

It is obvious the owner hasn’t dealt with maintenance in a long time. Most of the window screens were either torn or missing. Some of the cooking gear needs to be replaced, specifically the nonstick pans. The grill/BBQ needs to be replaced or new burners put in.
The new air conditioning unit in the master bedroom worked one night out of seven.
The place was clean.
The location was good and a good view from all balconies.
The management did try to fix AC but could not. Management was quick to respond and very nice.

Was exactly what we wanted! Large house able to accommodate us all. In a secluded area with stunning views down into the bay off that patio. Perfect for your morning coffee, yoga or swims which were all taken advantage of! Check in/out was painless, and communication was easy. Sueann the cleaner was there multiple times over our stay as well which was an added touch! Would stay here again.

View is amazing. We enjoyed the patio and pool. If there isn’t a breeze, the patio was too hot. Listing is a little misleading. All rooms are not air conditioned, only the bedrooms are. The Master bedroom didn’t get cool enough. The windows by the balcony on the upper floor couldn’t be opened so there was no breeze in the living area. There is no clothes dryer. We had to hang dry our clothes. The house keeper was very sweet and did a good job. The pool was very clean. The outside areas needed to be swept up more. I would recommend that the check out procedures be printed out. We had a miscommunication with that. Overall our stay was fine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Egmont View. The area is secluded and gorgeous and has more than enough room for a large group. The rooms all have AC, the pool is perfect, and the morning sun is incredible.
Shelize was easy to communicate with as well as Lesley, and we really had a wonderful time here!

The space worked really well for our family group, the bedrooms ideally situated. There are 4 bathrooms, and not 5 as advertised, but totally adequate. The view is amazing. The breeze also, some days even a little too blowy! Our grandchildren are aged 6 and 3, and had a wonderful time, especially in the pool.
The property manager, Sheliza, was excellent, promptly responding to the few issues we had. Sue Ann, the housekeeper was excellent also, working unobtrusively to keep the vast property clean.
We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful house, lots of space, the breeze is amazing, pool is fantastic. Just a great place for families. Lots of great places to eat. The cleaning lady prepared the oil down and it was fantastic! She is amazing ! Our drivers happy and Curtis was fantastic ! Laura and clay from Canada

Beautiful home and location! We were so impressed with everything from start to finish. Lesley was super helpful as we prepared for our arrival, answering all our questions promptly and giving great suggestions of places to visit. Lashley picked us up from the airport and was available throughout our stay for rides into town. He was a blast! Shelize welcomed us warmly upon our arrival and showed us around the property. Sue Ann came to clean three times while we were there and was so friendly and sweet! We enjoyed the walk down to the marina but it should be noted this can be a tough walk for anyone with mobility issues as it involves some steep hills-it was perfect for our group as we welcomed the opportunity to burn off some of the delicious food we had! We loved everything about our first visit to Grenada and can't wait to come back!!

The house is better in real than on the gorgeous photos . The property manager is absolutely perfect: welcoming, helpful and dedicated. The equipment of the house are high class. well many words could be summarized in one: perfect!

I’m from Grenada and was visiting with a large family group. The property manager Sheliza and cleaner Sueann were both wonderful. The property was ideal for our group. It’s in a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. It’s in a secluded area but a short walk to a nearby boutique resort with some amenities. The kids loved having the pool. Some aspects of the property are aging due to exposure to the sea air but this didn’t impact our stay negatively. The host was very accommodating. Minor issues were dealt with quickly. The rate is very reasonable for the size of the property. I would stay here again.

Beautiful house. Great open plan while maintaining separation of the main rooms. However, would not recommend for family with small children because of the multiple levels and no railings. Took us a few missteps before we got use to the drop-offs. Otherwise the house was perfect. There were six of us and we never felt cramped, very spacious. The view is spectacular and there is a constant breeze throughout the day and night which kept the house nice and cool. The bedrooms were nicely laid out and air-conditioned. Note that the listing states 5 bdrm, 5 bathrooms but there are only 4 bathrooms and the fifth bedroom with ensuite is only accessible from outside. Overall we were extremely happy with our choice and would gladly stay there again.
Special thanks to the house manager, Sheliza, who met us at the airport and guided us to the house (would not have found it otherwise). Getting to the house is an adventure due to the narrow roads and steep hills. Not for the inexperienced driver, especially since the beaches and supermarket are not within walking distance. We also want give a special thank the housekeeper, Sueann, who did a fantastic job of maintaining the house. It was a pleasure meeting both ladies.

A lovely villa in a beautiful area
The villa was beautiful well taken care of..only problem was that the weather was cloudy and very windy but that was Mother Nature at work

Thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Accessible by car to the main beaches eg Grand Anse, L'anse aux Epines. Near at hand is the brilliant Le Phare Bleu marina, great coffee and cocktails and Deli. Villa is very spacious and we were well looked after by Sueann and Sheliza the property manager.

The pictures do not do this property any justice at all!!! it is stunning and the location is perfect. Grenada is my home and I have stayed in many places on the island and this is by far the best accommodation . The location is peaceful, the accommodation is very well appointed, all we had to do was to buy food and drink. The cleaner is polite and friendly. The pool area was great, even the garden room was spacious, I could have quite easily stayed another week!! The property management were amazing and really helpful and very responsive. There were 7 of us staying from late 20's to early 50's we did not feel overcrowded and everyone had space if they needed. The layout of the property is perfect for groups and families, if the maximum number of people were staying there you would never feel overcrowded. Le Phare Bleu which is one of my favorite places and it is a short walk about 10 mins down hill or 2 mins in a car. I would highly recommend this property for a vacation. It is not often I place reviews but this time I have to give credit where credit is due. The owner has done a fantastic job and the team looking after the property are amazing. Thank you all for wonderful stay. :)

Mont View Villa is set in a commanding position East-facing position on the Egmont peninsular. This makes it quite breezy but there are wonderful views of the coastline and out into the Atlantic. The reception rooms are extremely spacious with cathedral vault ceilings and all mod cons. The four bedrooms (three en suite) are comfortable with plenty of storage space. The property boasts a nice pool and well-kept gardens. The two balconies offer an excellent spot for relaxing, but do get a soaking every time a rain shower blows through. Sheliza the property manager was efficient and helpful and Sue-Ann the housekeeper did an excellent job keeping this very large property ship shape.

One of the best villas on the island!! From the moment that we arrived at the Mont View villa, we were impressed with the spaciousness, layout and cleanliness.
The arrival at the airport with transport to the villa went smoothly. The property manager was waiting for us and gave us the tour of the villa, explaining that there's dual voltage set up for US and English guests to plug into separate outlets and much more. The island breeze off the Atlantic ocean provided enough air to circulate so that air conditioning was not necessary in the main areas with the splendid amount of windows opened. In the master suite, we only used the air conditioning the first night, then we were happy to hear the wind and tree frogs thereafter. There is ac in each bedroom if one needs it. The furniture was very comfortable with leather and regular cushions in the living room and in the smart-TV entertainment room (with Netflix, etc).
We spent much of our villa time on the two outdoor sitting areas on a balcony with a splendid view of the water and and island. The pool was lovely with pretty iridescent tiles to decorate. We brought our own floats and loved relaxing in the pool; there are deck chairs with cushions (we brought the cushions in each time so the island shower wouldn't soak them). The kitchen was large, perfect and had everything we needed including blender, toaster, microwave with all major appliances of good quality. Plenty of cupboard space even though we had 8 people to feed and like to cook. All the serving utensils, pots and dishes were stocked. Beach towels were here. The laundry room was as big as a bedroom and included the washing machine, cabinets and clothesline (there was more clothesline outside but don't leave overnight in case a brief shower spills its rain). Never saw one mosquito nor fly.
Location was in a quiet safe development, away from town. Just the way we liked it. We had rented a van from Chad at A1 Auto Rental and had it delivered to the villa to bypass lines at the airport. We hired Lashley to taxi us and give us a circle tour of the island on our second day. He was very knowledgeable and told us lots about the island and its sights.
Everyone liked Grand Anse Beach, but our favorite was the quiet La Sagesse Beach lined with palm trees just north of our location. We hired Margaret from Footloose Yacht Charters to go sailing.
The owner took care of us from start to finish, a splendid person! Do book this villa. So perfect!!!!!

Only one hiccup: tried contacting manager re sliding doors, however, never got a response! One suggestion: loved the split level design, however, the entire flooring was in one colour posing a safety risk. Totally enjoyed our stay, we would definately rent again. Loved the view and space it offered

Great stay in Egmont
We had 9 family members staying here and had plenty of space for all of us. The house is more lovely than its pictures. We cooked or grilled almost every night and had all cooking essentials required, except for spices. The furnishings in the house were perfect. The house was cleaned two days during our stay which was really great. Note the 5th bedroom is located outside the main house. Driving in Grenada is an experience and there is a very steep hill to climb to get to the house and a very steep driveway down to the house which took a bit to get used to! Egmont is very quiet with only one resort/restaurant (Le Phare Blue) within walking distance of the house. The restaurant/bar was good and had a lovely view. There are a number of fruit stands on the main road where we would purchase fruit which seemed better than either the SOG or the IGA supermarkets. We purchased fresh fish from the fish market in St. George's on two occasions and it was fabulous. Driving is the only adventure in Grenada - definitely not for the faint of heart. People were extremely friendly and always willing to help with anything!

Fantastic family home
We had seven family members stay here and everyone loved our spot. The view was so uplifting each morning and the pool was a nice relaxing area each day when we returned from the beach or a day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped and the common areas were great for gathering. The use of their beach towels allowed us to use carry-on luggage only which is a big time saver at the airport The local grocery was convenient We didn’t want to leave. This house is great from the kitchen to the bedrooms Love it ! Everding clan.

Great location with a priceless view.
Owner and Property Manager very arrogant.
On day #1: no water until after 8 pm; pool dirty with bugs, leaves & hair ties; room closest pool infested with mosquitoes n other small
insects, couldn't be used; shared shower drain plugged. Total cleaning was done by housekeeper on day #2 at our inconvenience. On day #4 the ceiling fans on the main floor which were non functional were repaired at our inconvenience. When i asked the owner about their refund policy for so many inconvenience i was asked to leave the villa. The Property couldn't be reached during day #1, then turned up on day #2 with a stink attitude. On leaving the villa at the end of day #7 she wanted to leave my daughter, my wife and my friends' wife outside the Villa awaiting my return from the airport which is a 30 minutes drive.

Just returned from a glorious 8 days at Egmont View. As others have said, the house is more beautiful in person. The house faces East, so each morning you wake up to see the sun coming up over the ocean - and your personal pool. It was paradise.Egmont is just a little "off the beaten path", but with a rental car was very accessible. There is a mid-sized grocery store just up the road which was adequate for a day or two's worth of supplies. The IGA in town (about 20 mins drive) was better for stocking up. The town and a slew of wonderful beaches were all within a 20 minute drive. The driving is definitely an "adventure" -- narrow, winding and hilly roads. Especially challenging for those not used to driving on the left. But we quickly became comfortable and were able to navigate the island in daylight. We generally opted to stay in at night and avoid the roads in the dark.Google Maps will allow you to download the local map to be used when you are offline (if you are not planning to have cell service on the island). This was INCREDIBLY handy as navigating the island (with very few street names) can be tricky. We took Google Maps with us wherever we went and took advantage of the GPS.Michelle and Sheliza were terrific. We took another reviewers advice and asked Michelle to prepare us the local dish, "Oildown" She was happy to oblige and we really enjoyed it! The house is adequately, but sparsely equipped. Don't expect to find much in the way of extras. It would have been nice to have a small cooler to bring to the beach. We were glad that we packed a couple of pool floats which we thoroughly enjoyed (and left behind for future guests!). Maybe a few other items for leisure activities. But all in all a wonderful stay.

A real gem
The house is really lovely with beautiful views and is so roomy - five of us were able to spread out comfortably. It’s a lovely quiet area, so there are no local amenities (that you can walk to), except Le Phare Bleu, but we weren’t over impressed with it. The house is pretty well equipped - we barbecued most nights - and Michelle the housekeeper is really helpful.
We knew so little about Grenada that we didn’t know what to expect of the island, the people or the house. Our first impressions, in the taxi from the airport, were mixed - the driver was a real character and gave a us a bit of a guided tour, but we were more concerned about the traffic. So, our advice is to use taxis for a day or two, so you get used to the driving and roads. After that, hiring a car locally is fine (we used Sanvics - had a couple of problems but no hassle about swapping cars).

Amazing villa with a simply stunning view!
Really enjoyed staying at this villa was absolutely amazing, great facilities and brilliant swimming pool.
We were greated at the airport by Sheliza who organised us a taxi to the villa late at night and settled us in nicely.
Everything about this villa was brilliant and had easy contact with the owner through home away.
Would highly recommend and would love to return again to Grenada!

Glimpse of Paradise
From the beginning the owner was extremely helpful with answering questions and a great sense of humor. Sheliza, the manager, could not have been more helpful; from meeting us at the airport, arranging our car rental, showing us how to get to the house, answering questions throughout our stay, Sheliza was outstanding in every way. Michelle greeted us with a smile and takes great care of the house.
The house comes as advertised, magnificent and the view was hard to leave. We enjoyed the isolation from everyone else and the local hills were perfect for exercise. This was one of the best experiences with a HomeAway owner I’ve ever had.

Most incredible house for a relaxing vacation
This house is incredible! The pictures don't even do it justice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back. From being picked up from the airport by the best driver, Lasho (who ended up being our driver for the week), to being greeted by Sheliza and Michelle at the house when we arrived - our entire stay was seamless and relaxing. Michelle was incredible and so kind. I highly recommend learning how to make the Grenada National Dish 'Oildown' from her. I can't say enough good things about our stay. The house and neighborhood are so beautiful. Do yourself a favor and book this place if you are in need of a relaxing vacation. I will say this is a little further away so you will need a driver or car to get around and I would recommend Lasho. Thank you again for such a lovely stay. We look forward to coming back.
