The cottages at Thornburry park are very comfortable and well furnished. They even allowed us to take our dog. Lisa and Paul the proprietors were very helpful and friendly.and we will certainly go again. The children loved the open space and the animals.

The place is quit and the scenery is excellent.
.It is more of nature that is good for reflection.
It is a family friendly too . The animals are just in the place roaming around . Feeling you're in the farm.
Far from.the convenient store . Too far from.the sea.

The Rooms were great, they had all we needed for the short stay.
Not a fan of Devon's creepy crawlies. I guess it comes with the territory.

On beautiful grounds with farm animals and where you could get fresh eggs in the morning.
The lodge was clean and well equipped.

The location was perfect - lovely and quiet. After busy days it was just what we needed. The owner, Lisa, is so friendly and accommodating. We were able to take our little dog with us, and there was absolutely no hassle around him being with us as long as we kept him on a lead whilst out on the grounds. The lodge was well equipped, nothing missing at all. We had a lake view which was amazing, and we were able to watch the Canadian geese.
There is no WIFI but we were able to create a hot spot in order to do a bit of work we had to do saturday morning. Thats the only thing!

Exceptional stay, nice location to spend time with the family and the beaches are quite accessible. Lisa ensured that the rooms were spotless as our little one is allergic and would have resulted in terrible eczema flare ups.
Wifi signal but there is ample 4G coverage in the area

We catered for ourselves. The accommodation was excellent. The grounds were well kept providing a peaceful setting with two lakes and some small animals. A very relaxing stay with friendly staff.

It was peaceful
It was very unclean. Very upsetting to drive for hours to be greeted with this. Wanted to get away for a few days with the family but could not even eat here. Had to buy a frying pan because couldn’t bear to use the pan at the holiday home!

was a great location and the cottages are well equipped and in such a tranquil setting
The chap.behknd the bar was not very welcoming and gave the impression we were an inconvenience ordering drinks

Beautiful grounds with lovely view of the lake. Clean and comfortable lodge, home from home. Location is quite remote but we didn't mind. Bude is the closest beach and is beautiful, well worth a visit!
6.0
Lovely grounds with farm animals. Chickens and rabbits roaming free. Fresh eggs for sale every day. Peaceful and quiet as only a handful of houses and campers on site. Comfortable accommodation with well equipped kitchen. Lisa was friendly and attentive.
Waitrose and co-op in nearest town 10min drive away.
Accommodation was a bit dated. Wifi and some games would have improved our stay. The living room was in a conservatory which either got very hot or cold. We didn't bring enough towels and tea towels as there is not quick way to dry if the weather is bad.

Loved the location, it was very peaceful, lovely view of the lake.
Would have been nice to park the car next to the lodge, but understand why because of free-range chickens. Maybe some wifi (paid or free) would have been useful as the mobile signal for EE was pretty bad (not the parks fault), but these were not deal breakers as the park was lovely and peaceful.

We were in a self catering bungalow with a view of the fishing lake. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived and reasonably equipped. The host Lisa was helpful and pleasant and our dog was welcomed at no extra cost. The property was a short drive (13/14 miles) from Bude and Widemouth Bay the latter having a large dog friendly section at Rock.
The property was somewhat remote being some 4.5 miles from the nearest A road down a single track lane where you could only pass an oncoming vehicle if you or they pulled into a passing place - a bit nerve racking at times. The site did not have a shop which meant travelling to Holsworthy to get supplies and the site bar was only open for a few hours in the evening on four nights Wed to Sat inclusive which meant driving to find a local pub.
