Super comfortable bed. There were some food items in the kitchen that was a lovely touch and there was lots of tea and coffee
There was no iron and it got quite cold in the evening

Really lovely cottage. It was cool indoors during a baking hot summer and there was a comfortable outdoor seating area.
We would have loved a coffee press.

Me and my partner stayed there for one night. The host was lovely...
Lovely little cottage. Very comfortable bed. Very clean. Loved the bathroom. Would definitely go back again. Highly recommended

No Breakfast expected, though some pastries left.
1) Totally inadequate toilet paper available. This is unforgivable, and meant we had to leave very early.
2) total confusion over access - This was Booking.com's fault (see separate notes sent to Booking.com)
3) Cottage extremely difficult to find - also Booking.com's fault (details were not expected and only seen on our return)
Points 2 & 3 above were a problem because of Booking.com's assumption of our web access and internet ability. We have sent notes for improvement, though I have absolutely no hope that they will be implemented.

the whole place was charming - quaint, lovely flowers in the garden. Good location. Leiston Abbey is wonderful as is Aldeburgh a favourite, Minnsmere is close - Orford is great too
shower on bath didn't work but otherwise it was all fine. No real place to sit inside

A very comfortable accommodation. Good parking. Nice and clean. Lots of tea and coffee provided and a nice touch of cereal and croissants provided .
Owner of property was available if any problems.
It was Difficult to find from the address given - round the back of the house and no suggestion of road numbers to help us find it.
Although the accommodation was good, we were not keen on the location - near a town centre and busy main roads.
There was a suggestion that some breakfast may be provided, but we were not sure what would be provided so difficult for planning.

It was perfect- quirky, comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.
The bed was very comfortable. We loved the thoughtful treats in the kitchen. The bathroom was also WOW!
The garden path had the most beautiful scented plants and flowers.
The owner is friendly, interesting and helpful.
We wish that we could have stayed longer.

Location, thoughtfulness, decor, warmth friendly welcome.
We could not get the TV to work but we were in and out and did not ask for help.
If we were in the room longer we would’ve asked for help.

Lots of character, very comfortable, spacious; appreciated the provisions in the kitchenette. Quiet location and good off road parking.
Directions could be worded a little clearer. We could not get many channels on the TV.

Central location, very friendly host. There was no breakfast included in the price, however she left fruit, juice, milk, bread, butter, marmalade, cookies, cake, tea and coffee in the kitchenette which was really lovely.
I couldn’t take a shower without getting the floor really wet.
My sister took a bath which she really enjoyed.

Small self contained cottage ‘hidden’ down an access road. Adjoined to the house it has a key safe; code provided. Inside it is old and quirky. A nice French style iron framed bed with nice clean bedding placed centrally. ‘Settle’ seating on the wall with cushions overlooking the bed! Plenty of cupboard space. Tele, hairdryer, hot water bottles. Tea and coffee making facilities in the separate small kitchen. Microwave, fridge, sink etc. The very big and impressive bathroom (as big as the bedroom?) with centrally placed lovely roll topped bath with shower over. Toilet and sink and good towels.
Outside a small courtyard with a round table and two chairs and some nice sculptures and plants. The contact lady was very responsive.
It’s quite expensive for no breakfast. Having said that there was two cling filmed grapefruit halves, a carton of orange juice, butter and marmalade and milk in the fridge. Also two packets of Rice Krispies, but, no bread for the butter and marmalade! Nor easily found. No shower/bath gel.

Bed was really comfortable and it was just a super cute place. A great pub a short walk away for dinner!
The bath is a bit tricky (as you can only really have a bath) but that is also made clear in the photos - so there's no surprises.

The cottage was so welcoming, its warm and cosy with lots of light and is so cheery with the yellow running throughout the cottage. There were some welcome supplies to welcome us after a long drive. The attention to detail is lovely and I would highly recomend a stay here. Bed is super comfy, lots of extra snuggly blankets too. The roll top bath is gorgeous too. Thank you so much for offering such a beautiful space for our mini trip to Suffolk, was the perfect location., will be lovely to come back again and explore more of Suffolk and use the cottage as a base again, Many thanks indeed, Francesca

Its the second stay at Barkwith as we loved it so much last time. Really cosy little place, love the decor and style of the place. Also really impressed with the little extras, breakfast, milk, shampoos etc.
Nothing we didn't like, we'll stay again for sure.
