The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates
If required, there are electric charging points at the Tesco on the Fosse Way
Please note that the ensuites for bedrooms 3 and 6 do not have doors

A very welcoming set up for all 12 family members. The garden furniture was a big hit because the weather was very good. Enough bathrooms being as we had elderly people and a heavily pregnant daughter. The kitchen had everything we needed and the lounge area with the bi-folding doors made it a great space to communicate with everyone. Lots of amenities about the town with good pubs and restaurants at a stones throw. A good Indian takeaway and Chinese just across the road was great and local co-op for milk etc. I would recommend a stay here at all times of the year but for our own experience it was very memorable and I cannot speak more highly of the cottage and our wonderful stay.

We stayed at Cross Keys Party as we were having our wedding nearby! The cottage was a fantastic base for the weekend. It was in the heart of Stow which had everything you could possibly need. There are plenty of nice pubs, fast food (if needed) and shops nearby which is super convenient.
The cottage itself was clean, spacious and had everything you would need. The cottage had great character and was very comfortable. The communication from the owner was fantastic and we were also offered late check out free of charge which was very much appreciated (with some sore heads from the wedding).
I would definitely recommend staying here and Stow itself is a lovely Cotswold town.
Thanks again!

We enjoyed a wonderful family reunion at Cross Keys Cottage. The house is centrally located, surprisingly spacious, and well maintained, with very comfortable beds! The owners were gracious enough to extend our check out at no cost to allow us time for a lazy lunch. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Cross Keys Cottage enough! We had the most glorious weekend in the cottage which definitely felt like a home away from home.
The cottage is equipped with everything you will need and as it is situated in the centre of the town, accessing shops, country walks and cosy pubs is no issue at all.
I was in the cottage with friends and family for the weekend to celebrate my 40th and it was the perfect location. The cottage is very spacious with perfect socialising areas and every bedroom is amazing.
We had very warm welcome from the team at Stay Cotswold and Louise at The Old Butchers next door to the cottage and they were extremely helpful throughout the booking process.
This weekend sparked so much joy with unforgettable memories and the cottage was definitely a big part of that! You're guaranteed a beautiful weekend at Cross Keys Cottage.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cross Keys Cottage. We loved everything about the house - the space worked perfectly for our family group ages 2 - 78. We loved all the little touches and care that had obviously gone into making it a fabulous holiday let.

Good size property for large family gathering. Large well equipped kitchen room for a number lof cooks. Enough seating in the lounge to sit together. Loved the long dinning table where we could eat and reminisce. Situated in town so some could explore great shops while others tried one of many pubs

13 of us stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my 30th Birthday and it was the most perfect house for this.
We have stayed in Stow before and the all over the Cotswolds many more times but this was by far our best visit yet.
The house was so well equipped and laid out for a group or family and the location is great. - The house is bigger than the photos make it seem which was real bonus.
We would definitely return and would highly recommend this property.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage!

Fabulous time had by all. 2 minor considerations. Didn’t feel the kitchen was as well equipped as expected- lack of bowls, garlic crusher etc. also stairs were quite tricky to negotiate so may well be worth mentioning

We absolutely loved everything about the cottage location and décor. The process and instructions arrival, key collection were very simple.
We were greeted by the cottage owner who took us in to the property and show us around. We even got 2 bottles of prosecco on arrival, freshly baked bread, eggs and fresh milk in the fridge.
What a lovely treat!
The cottage is specious, ideal for family gathering. Kitchen is equipped fantastically. Large hob to cook, 2 toasters, 1 large fridge and 2 wine fridges, 2 dishwashers.
It was such a great stay. We loved everything about the place, location and hospitality.

What a lovely cottage! Full of charm and mod cons. Well equipped kitchen - more than enough quality wine glasses! We were a gathering of 13, lots of space for us all - the large living room was comfortable and a great space for family games and beautifully cosy with the log burner going. All the bedrooms are gorgeous, very comfortable beds, beautiful linen and towels.
We organised dinner on one evening through The Old Butcher’s- it was fabulous!
Highly recommend this lovely cottage - we didn’t want to leave.
