Nice quiet spot in Luang Prabang

Really friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is a short walk from town and the room was really comfortable. Breakfast was nice and convenient.

A good place to stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle in the centre of town.

Breakfast and location both very good. Staff very helpful. Room facilities good and also very clean. Balcony in upper rooms (separate block) a great place to sit and relax. All in all, a great place to stay.

Lighting could be improved - several bulbs not working, making the room too dark - and there should be plugs in sinks! But these are minor irritations and didn't really detract from our stay.

Boutique comfort in quiet corner of the Old Town

At the far end of the Old Town peninsula so quieter, away from crowds but with all the nice cafes and restaurants close at hand, and a short walk to take in the magnificent sunsets over the Mekong and enjoy the river traffic from the pier. Big rooms and if I had been in one of the other rooms, a lovely courtyard with pond and seating and wooden balconies. Breakfast each morning was lovely with a variety of choices and fresh fruit. Friendly staff.

Pissibly I was a bit cheap so I was in room on ground floor facing front terrace - so couldn’t really use my balcony or open curtains (this room could use some net curtains so main curtains can be opened during day). The owner was very friendly and I suspect if I’d asked for a change of rooms anfpd one had been available, I may have moved. The other rooms were facing a nice private courtyard so I imagine these would be ideal. Lovely hot shower either way good water pressure, coffee/ tea making facilities provided free.

Lovely house in the Historic district

Family of five with young children. Location is perfect for the quiet and stunning historic peninsula. We were surrounded by temples, local houses and the meeting of the Mekong and Nam Kahn rivers. Great to view the alms giving in the morning. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops close by. The family room was comfortable with huge beds, desk space, good shower, fridge and a terrace. Breakfast had good western and Laos options, with fresh fruit. Short walk to the Le Banneton bakery for fresh baguettes and croissants. Staff were friendly and helpful with local suggestions. We extended an extra night.

WiFi was patchy at best. Expensive services offered, we went direct for much better tour rates.

Love hotel

The room is big and beautiful, the hotel is located between the Namkhan and Mekong rivers and many attractions are nearby, the staff is enthusiastic to help with everything.

It was a cozy getaway overall.

The property feels like a snug cottage located at a good location. We booked a one-bedroom but were given a triple room of the same size, so we had a bit less space, but it was still fine. The staff was helpful, which was a plus.

So, here’s the deal: the lavabo was leaking, some lights were on a break, and the water pressure was like a rollercoaster - sometimes a trickle, sometimes a blast. Breakfast is part of the package, the food was alright, but it seemed like the fruit needed better prepared, and the dining area could have been cleaner.

Beautiful guesthouse

We loved our room, breakfast was delicious every day ! The staff were so nice and helpful & the location was great just a small Walk to the night market and anything in town ! We couldn't rate this place enough ! Thank you

Not a pleasant stay, the location was pretty great.

location is good and breakfast okay

the room felt a little dirty, they didn’t clean our room. there where ants and spiderwebs. the strainers had to stay open, otherwise the water in the shower wouldn’t go. very bad air conditioning. The power went out for a long time and no one noticed

Lily and her staff made our stay fantastic. They were all very welcoming and helpful organizing motorbike and recommending restaurants. The garden pond was very peaceful and we slept beautifully. I highly recommend!

A great stopover :)

A tranquil space to enjoy your stay. Away from the bustle of downtown but close enough for an easy walk there. Balcony rooms are particularly nice!

We had a very nice stay at Chaluenxay for 4 nights. Great location, walking distance to restaurants, bars and river. Very comfortable beds, clean room and hot shower! All of the staff were friendly and Lyli was very helpful. We had breakfast each morning which was nice and also healthy. We got laundry done here which was to a high standard. Excellent value stay in Luang Prabang, would definitely recommend.

I really like the receptionist Lilly who welcomed me with such warm smile. She was really very helpful and kind. Also the room interior was top notch.
