Short 3 night stay. Property was well maintained and stocked with all the essentials. Lots of extras like kayaks, games etc.

Had a fantastic stay. Cottage is very charming. Views from deck were amazing and plenty of furniture to lounge around on. Great parking spot for pontoon on the dock and have a spot for the trailer just down the road. Beds and furniture in the cottage were very comfortable. Would recommend.

This place is nicely updated and clean. All the amenities you would expect are there plus some extras like an air pump for floats, floats, games, Bluetooth speaker, wood for campfires, 4 kayaks. Dock had bumpers on already. Kitchen had everything you need. We loved staying here and will be back!

The cabin was everything I hoped for. It was beautifully decorated and the view is just beautiful!! It is equipped with everything you would need. Had a few questions and Lisa responded fast. Thank you for letting me stay at your beautiful cabin. I’m already planning my next time to come back!

Our family of 6 adults and one baby stayed for a 3 day weekend. We loved having the private dock to tie up our water toys and boat, as well as the house comes with some fun floaties and kayaks. The house was stocked very well for us to cook at home or close to restaurants. Great air conditioning for the summer and we will be back for winter time! We fit three vehicles in the parking space but you wouldn't have too much room for a trailer etc. Marina is close by.

My dad, husband, and I had a great time staying at this place. My dad was able to bring his boat and tie it to the dock right on the property. We had pretty good luck fishing on the lake! House was clean and we loved being on the deck. We would definitely go back to this place!

We have stayed at Houghton Lake over the past years and this has been our favorite place, yet! Some little things, like, could use a “pooper scooper” for geese poop on the property. Also, I accidentally left my make-up bag (while trying to pack up with an autistic son) and it wasn’t found, as of yet…. My Apple Watch that was inside the bag was charged fully and still not located, at this time…. But besides that, GREAT view, great location, great stay….

The home was beautiful, clean inside, very welcoming with modern appliances, and nicely decorated. The beds were really comfortable (my brother-in-law even liked these mattresses better than his bed at home). Pictures on the website extremely accurate. We loved our stay there.
Not sure the owners are aware that the mayflies were hatching the weeks prior and during our stay. The garage door was totally covered with hundreds of mayflies, with many dead ones on the ground. That was not a welcoming site when we drove in. While the inside was very clean, the outside should also be addressed. We needed to spend about two hours cleaning the outside back deck (furniture and floor), and the front garage area. This was obviously just bad timing to arrive during mayfly season, but attention to the outside prior to guests arriving would have been appreciated.

My brothers and I take a week-long fishing trip each spring. We had never been to Houghton so we thought it would be worth a try. This lake is pretty tough to fish and the wind never stopped. Caught some fish but moved to St. Helen Lake where we caught a lot of nice fish. Only issue we had was the house is on a four lane race track around the lake, very difficult to park a boat trailer in the driveway, two boat trailers was difficult. Owner was nice and responsive. Nice touches include a custom Welcome sign and fluffy white towels. Went to most of the restaurants around the lake, nice people and good food everywhere. Good trip.
