About this house rental

Carmel is lovely any time of year - and we had an unexpected cancelation for the month of February, making it available for you! Either for the whole month or a week or a weekend, let us know! Carmel is as wonderful as you have heard and our house is the perfect oasis for a peaceful family or friend or solo/a retreat - we give week long and month long discounts! Close to town and the beach, in a Carmel neighborhood, you'll enjoy our large, sparkling clean, comfortable, and very charming home with its large very private deck, which even has an oak tree growing out of the middle of it! The three bedrooms have very comfortable beds, cozy blankets and great linens, and lots of natural light (and blinds and drapes to make it dark when you want to snooze). The bathrooms are beautifully renovated and large. Our favorite part is the large living space, both indoors and out. There is a large deck between the bedroom wing and living room and a balcony in front to watch the sunset, the pileated woodpeckers on the trees across the street, and the multitude of oak tree that abound.
Our wifi is great so work or write your novel here. The surroundings will inspire you! Or cozy up and watch a movie; the living room TV is a Smart TV and in the owner’s suite there is a ROKU.
The walk to the beach and downtown Carmel in 15-19 minutes or you can drive there in 5-minutes max; walking TO the beach is easy but walking back in primarily uphill so grab a coffee and pastry to fortify yourself in downtown Carmel on the way back. (Oh - we also supply coffee and tea for your morning wake up.)
We have a heavy discount for longer stays during and happy to work with you for stays longer than 30-days. Talk to us if you would like to kick back in Carmel for a while.

Property is well situated on the winding, hilly and wooded area of north Carmel. Close to everything. House and yard in need of some updating - bathrooms are nicely remodeled, and kitchen is modern and well equipped. House is nicely laid out and private. Good, safe yard for dogs.

The house is perfect for a family of 5. We enjoyed the bed and my wife loved the nice soaker tub. After a long day of activities with the family this was a great property to relax, enjoy, and unwind on. We ended every night with a glass of wine outside on the beautiful deck. The kids enjoyed their rooms and the living room space.

The house was cute, comfortable, and well appointed. It had lots of spices and condiments for our use. We loved opening the windows to enjoy the cool breezes. The only thing I would suggest changing is the entry wooden gate with the latch. It’s very worn down and we feared getting splinters trying to open and close it daily. Other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you Holly & Richard.

Really enjoyed using this lovely house as a home base for 3 days of exploring Carmel and environs. The house is warm and obviously lived in and loved. Lots of character, but also very comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of room for up to six people and a well stocked kitchen including coffee and wine! Beautiful neighborhood and outdoor space with lots of trees and the distant roar of waves on the beach. Close to all the action in Carmel and Monterey. Highly recommend this house and will plan to stay here again on our next visit.

The minute my wife and I stepped into your home we both felt at ease with the subtle decor, the views from the vast number of windows and French door, along with the abundant greenery outdoors waiting to be absorbed. Other than a few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your graciousness and accommodation.

We loved our visit and this very special house. House has tons of charm and special details. Comfortable beds and shared living areas, spacious, all the necessary amenities. Lots of gorgeous light. Beautiful deck and plants. Short drive to downtown, beach, etc. just loved it all. Host was so kind and provided many helpful details. We’ll be coming back for sure!
