Very generous welcome hamper
Spotlessly clean
Spacious
Probably needs a new shower curtain
If an upstairs toilet could be squeezed in (a huge ask, I know), it would’ve been a five across the board

A truly beautiful cottage, well equipped, truly dog friendly and really comfortable. Fay, the host, was amazing, really attentive and kind enough to let us check-in early at the last minute. Beehive cottage was a beautiful place for us to work from home whilst we visited family in the area. The property is quirky and beautifully presented, with all the home comforts anyone could need. A truly outstanding place to stay.

Really loved the location,15 minute walk into Beccles.Good to be close to the lovely town.Good selection of Restaurants and Cafes. Lovely comfortable bed.Good to have parking on the premises.Fay and Richard had renovated the cottage sympathetically and it felt very cosy and comfortable.
Would have liked a dishwasher and a freezer box would be handy in the hot weather.

The location was perfect for our needs and its proximity to local hostelries and the town of Beccles meant that we were able to spend time with the relatives we had come to visit and take advantage of the pubs which all served good food.
There were 3 adults staying together:
1) we would have appreciated additional tea-towels and more generous bath towels.
2) hooks - whenever we rent a property it always seems short of hooks -for your dressing gown, to hang up towels, tea towels, aprons etc
3) it would be good to always check between guests to ensure that there is enough tableware for all those who are staying, we were missing tea-plates and a water jug and milk jug would also be useful.
4) in this hot weather -there was no way to make ice or store frozen products.
